Can you explain more how this differs from the original 1701? What time on Friday will this be available for purchase? I will be at the office and want to make sure I do not miss out on grabbing a V2 1701.
Sale should start friday 12 am.
These are disposable and are not rebuildable. It uses our second generation disc coils which are enhanced for longevity but still are consumable items and the bowl is designed for a ceramic disc as apposed to others you have seen online.
do you use the small torch lighters or the big ones? im thinking about buying the cheap few dollar ones that are small. also if using a torch how long would you use it to clean the coil.
smaller ones are better finer tip.

So I experienced the same thing with the nibbler XL.I posted a while back about cracking my Nibbler XL while getting a top cap out that was stuck inside. I found a local glass blower who repaired. Below are a couple of before and after pics. The whole inner tube is slightly off-center now which happened during the repair. The inner tube seems straight, though, so I think it will still seal. I just ordered a new top cap and heat shield to replace the ones I messed up, so I won't know for sure if the fix was good until those come in the mail. Fingers crossed...
The piece got stuck the same ways yours did. customer service said they have 2 different sized o rings to accommodate variations in the glass... first o ring went in without problem but didnt provide suction. second one I had to press more than I felt comfortable with. stopped what i was doing and went and watched the install video sam did on youtube. adding some water and doing a twisting motion i got it in after a POPing sound. Later couldn't get it out and chipped a piece of glass, really fucking myself in this situation. I would have liked to send it back because i believe the glass is not the correct size but because its broke im stuck with it. Anywho how has this worked for you? after mine eventually brakes from that chip ill likely have to get it repaired like yours. eventually got it out with an exacto knife cutting the oring into pieces so i could extract the black top. Im going to order a new top and rings and see how that works.

@Digitalliquid I feel your pain with your Nibbler. I should have a report this weekend. My replacement top cap and heat shield are sitting at the post office. Darn signature required, and I haven't made it to the post office to pick up.
Does anyone have any tips on adjusting the 8 and using it with the SR71?
After 6 months I can safely say that I have never been able to get it to heat up correctly and have stopped using the 8 in favor of my 1st gen double top as the only thing that hits on the 8 is the KISS cart (which, the 3.7v KISS on the 8 hits amazing, comparable to the SR71 honestly)
but I really dont need 2 devices. and I don't really accept that I'm going to need to spend 20+ minutes adjusting screw positions every time i change carts or voltages.

do you have the new or old button assembly? the center pin is adjusted and seated correctly?
How long does it take to see a glow on the coil?
Is the SR71 bottom adapter adjusted for the 8?

I have this EXACT issue. I have reassembled my button assembly several times to no avail. I don't know what the difference is between old and new button assembly, though. I notice a bit of flex in the top pin when I press the button, which I thought was weird.
I'd be surprised if they said the sale was Friday, but it only covered a minute of Friday and all Saturday.
I agree, though, it would be so rad for us LA peeps to visit w9 directly!!

Wow! This non wick version is working fantastic with a Persei 3.7v. When I rebuilt the cart, the donut sat a bit high above the bowl and just about scrapped it. Then I figured, what the heck go with it. Now I'm glad. The concentrate pools under the donut heater. When vaping, the suction pulls the oil upwards and onto the donut. A steady, slow draw is key. That's my theory anyways. Pleasantly surprised with it's cloud production and of course the taste is amazing.
Here's my improvised Kiss cart rebuild with a FC-2000 wick wedged above a 1.5 ohm Donut:

@ragnorokk you can add a second washer if you wish.
On a side note guys here is what the disposable 1701 will look like. Second generation ceramic coil with wick for 3.7v only running at about .9 ohms give or take a .1
Unlike the many of the copied versions out there we manufacture our bowls specifically for the ceramic donuts.
This will be available in low numbers this friday soon as its sold out its gone.
Where does the hole in the middle lead to?
Will this be in 510 too?
The hole in the middle is the air hole, these are for our standard globes.
