I have asked UPtech specifically about what is the minimum ohms to run my V4 persei/core at and their reply was this -
the V4 tops will handle .8 ohms and are built specifically for the Hercules to run that resistance at 3.7v battery voltage. With the core you might have to adjust a little bit lower.
I believe the aspire atlantis runs at .5 ohms, so either the persei will not fire or it could cause overload/overheating in the circuitry.
EDIT: That being said, I did put my RDA on my persei with an adapter and get some great vape at .6 ohms, though I didn't dare try any more than a few puffs. I don't want to cause damage to my badass oil equipment when I already have ecigs out the wazoo
for the touch button tops i would suggest ohm range is .8-6.0 ohms, the top is certified for that ohm range, if you go any higher on the resistance ( meaning below .8 ohms ) it could cause issues.

I know, I want a gn and an xl. I was debating between the nibbler g and gn and while agonizing over it the gn went out of stock and I've realized I was foooooooooooooool.

OK, so I tried this hash in the Herc. It is light brown and pretty dry...nearly sandy. It tastes/smells suspiciously like combustion. It can be formed into a shape but is pretty damn crumbly. As a newb, I have no idea what it SHOULD be like (if there is such a thing in this realm). Do you just have to ride the button lightly or do you need to be concerned about stuff that is too dry?

I am fortunate enough to have the XL, G, and GN. If I had to choose between the GN and G for the Kiss globe I would have to go with the G. With the GN you really can't put in much water or you're going to end up with some in your mouth. It also can sometimes twist due to the pressure of your mouth on the sidecar mouth piece which is a bit annoying.
The only drawback I have found to the G is I haven't yet discovered a good way to empty it of water.

as for the 1701's please understand that even as we reduce failure rates its not the best when compared to the Hercules SR series, never will be because of one flaw and thats the wires needed to make a connection. They will break no matter what.

Ironic, I didn't know how long it would be so ordered it from planetvape.ca. It came in the mail today and I LOVE it.
I am thinking I am may be able to modify a Kanger mini Protank 3 to work with the nibbler also using the W9tech 601 to 510 ego adapter.
What is the diff between the v1 and v3 Persei heads? What would I gain from upgrading units? My Persei will probably never run anything besides a Herc.

Hmmmmmmm, that's not what I expected to hear. I actually think I will go with the g. Well shit, now that the xl is going to be back in stock looks I'm going to get myself some nibblers Monday. Thank you sir. I'm very excited to try these out, been eyeing nibblers for months.

Sounds like you loaded some bubble hash which tends to be of less purity than the herc was designed for. Can you post a pic of the product to help us?

It may have a lot of plant material in it. If you are stuck with a bunch of it, you can convert it to oil a couple ways. Easiest would be using 190+ ethanol of you can get real everclear(i.e. not cali). Can do an eth wash and filter with coffee filters, evap and enjoy!

Does the nibbler xl have a splash guard? or can you get water in your mouth?
I don't feel I need it because I think the vapor is very comfortable. However, I have never used the hammer top or v4, which seems to make the hercules excel. My v3 top is good, I have no problems. How does the experience change with the hammer or v4 top with the herc?

Filling the nibbler xl to the correct water height will never get water into your mouth. Trust me, you need a nibbler! Hercules is awesome dry hits out on the go. At home SR71 and nibbler xl are pure heaven! Very good tool to have to compliment your collection of w9. I recommend to everyone once you master the Hercules. You can get huge tasty hits and be medicated quickly and effectively.
