When you say you torched the rod, did you literally use a torch, or did you just heat up the rod on the persei til it got red?

It's a Christmas miracle! My V4 Persei top has finally arrived!! It was a long and arduous journey from the time my V3 broke (it broke about 2 hours after I decided to pull the trigger and order the core/hercules... OF COURSE!!!) which was about 2 months ago. I could have had a replacement sooner but Gary graciously offered a V4 top to me if I could be patient, it was very difficult but I made it through....

My first impressions of the V4 are WOW, I love it! Quite a beautiful unit if I must say so, and it is truly an upgrade over the v3. It works flawlessly as described in Gary's V4 video. My hercules looks wonderful on it. Works like a charm with the core. And with an adapter it runs my Kayfun with couldy delicious results. Thank you so much Gary and everyone at the UPTech team! You did a great job with this bad boy....

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention, it looks like they threw in an SS kit for my troubles. Wow, just wow, best vape company out there! Any trepidations I had about the waiting is completely removed by their generosity.

if I recall correctly I think it was Gary said he likes to use dry herb instead of the coil in the hero to saturate with oil and vape both at the same time kinda wondering how different that is mixing them together

Depends on how often you hit it and what voltage setup. I prefer high voltage, and hit it a lot, so I need an extra pair of batteries to get me through the day. You can get a nifty lil case and carry a spare pair on your to be safe. Don't care loose batteries in your pocket. Your keys and change can setup a circuit and burn your leg.

I am about to purchase Persei, but I really have no clue where to begin with.:shrug:
I can only get second-hand silver persei single top with two batteries and charger. And I was wondering, if I can start vaping ((BHO, QWISO, waxes and shatters), straight away with this standard pack? I tried my best to find this out my own, but there are just too many combination available (core? nail? ohm? kiss? hercules? wtf...:bang:) and I got lost with over 1045 pages...
I 'm sorry to bother everyone near christmas but, please help me.:bowdown:
I can only get 'titanium GR2 Kiss Cartridge Black 2.0 ohm 7.4v' but if I have both single top set and this cartridge, am I good to go?

I saw the pics of the new kiss mini and the vaporizer oil pen are up on the w9 site. Does anyone know how much you load in there? The tube doesn't look like it detaches and it's pretty long, not sure how it works loading and vaping. Also what threading does the new pen use? Just wondering if the kiss mini is something that only works with the new vape and vice versa.

With the kiss mini, or even the regular kiss cart, can you load it with oil into the metal part of the cartridge? Like wick it down to the coil?

I Received the new V4 top yesterday. It is incredible and allows my SR-71s to function perfectly now. All I would get with the V3 tops was blinking lights and not firing. I just wish the two new Persei's I purchased a month ago came with the V4 and not defective V3 tops that would not function with the multiple SR-71s I purchased with them.

W9tech wanted me to purchase 2 hammer tops and wait to get replacements for the V4 tops for another month and half because I have silver persei's. I didn't want to go this route for multiple reasons so they agreed to allow me upgrade to the V4 tops. It cost me $25 bucks. Kind of silly to have to pay $25 bucks to get replacement tops that would function on two brand new persei's. Not exactly thrilled over that but it is what it is I guess.

I use my persei's for medical reasons so I did not want to be without at least one of them. It barely worked but I could get it to fire if I tried about ten times to find a sweet spot by screwing it and unscrewing it over and over. Now I just have to get the ball rolling on exchanging the other one as well. I am sure they are going to charge me another $25 for a 2nd V4 top. ($10 for warranty upgrade, $6 for return shipping, $2 for handling, and $6 to ship the V3 top back to them which I must do first).

Kind of sad to see that i am treated this way after having an extensive order history of close to $1000 with W9TECH directly including omicron, at least 10 TI Kiss carts and accessories, 2 Persei's, 2 SR-71s, and a bunch of spare parts and supplies. At least I have a functioning top now.

Those of you waiting on V4 tops to replace V3 tops that won't fire consistently won't be disappointed by the V4 top.

Just got my v4, and have fallen in love with my persei all over again. The touch button can only be described as luxurious, due in part to the way the light fades in/out when you press/release the button. I love the fact that I can finally put my persei with my Herc attatched (WITH NO GAP!) in my pocket without worrying about it going off (I did notice that anything metal will set off the touch button if you don't turn it off). And now that it has a "hammer mode" I can re-dedicate my hammer top to my Bender whenever the hammer rods come back in stock. The thing is fucking solid, but I did notice that it turned all the way off on me a couple times during my inaugural session. I might have set off the circuit protection (which seems less sensitive). Overall, it's a masterpiece of technological ingenuity (a damn sexy one at that) and I can't thank the guys at W9tech enough for the incredible products/customer service that they bring to the table.

OK, I just got one of those new tops and can't get it to work. When I start to screw the top on, it flashes a few times. But once it is screwed all the way on I can't get it to work. No light, nothing. I adjusted the batteries with the tool, thinking maybe this top needed a different adjustment. I got it to work once, but now it does nothing. Any suggestions?

when you guys stop touching eachother i suggest 5 fast touches to the Persei Touch button tops to turn it on, and 5 quick touches turns it off.

Touch three times and hold it for 5 seconds on the 3rd touch it should blink and stay solid, let it go and it goes into hammer mode. Touch three times hold it and it will shut down.

Currently all Persei's are still shipping with the v3 tops. As for getting the v4 tops it will take time as we are still trying to catch up on previous Persei owners.
