Can’t wait to get my hands on this beautiful creation.

Words aren’t enough...

Holy hell, my friend. That’s fucking lovely
@Dan Morrison never fails to impress me more every day with each new work of his that I see!

I already know I want to be a lifetime customer. I don’t even have my nomad yet, but with his history with the Okin and other previous work I can’t help but be excited for what he may come up with after the Nomad. Because whatever it is, I’ll probably want one.

(Now watch, he’ll design an exotic-wood line of elephant butt-plugs, or something, and I’m gonna have to take one for the team.

P.S. - Please don’t make me buy weird giant exotic-wood butt-plugs, @Dan Morrison)

@Dan Morrison Please design just one giant exotic-wood butt-plug, an exclusive custom piece made for our dear board member @Ramahs

I can’t seem to stay away from this thread; the Nomad is the only portable unit that has tickled my VAS in ages. It’s almost like the fact that it vaporises herb is beside the point, they are each so finely made and unique in materials that it feels more like an art acquisition. I think it’s why so many new & soon-to-be owners struggle to find words to describe how it feels to merely look at their Nomad, it elicits real emotions. Beyond those normally held for a vaporizer’s capabilities.* Because it’s more than just a vape, it’s a bit of someone’s life.

Which makes me wonder: although portable, does anyone actually take their sexy Nomad out of the home? I doubt that I would but am weird like that.

* felt and still feel those feelings every time I look at or use my Woodscents, so I do understand and it’s why I’ll eventually get on the Nomad list. I reached out to Dan with some questions and his reply was so thoughtful and kind, it reminded me of chatting with Ed. I’m a sucker for a genuine enthusiast manufacturer with honest motives and integrity, I love giving my money to those kinda folks!

I can’t say I’m totally surprised by the number of people who only use their Nomads at home; considering the work that’s going into mine I know I’ll be tempted to be overprotective too. I just have to remember that the main reason I bought it in the first place is to have a very small, very portable, battery powered flower vaporizer to use when I’m out out the house! :argh:

I’m sure I’ll end up using it at home too, but I mainly need it when I’m out. As I look again through 4/20 sales on all of the other small portables I passed up to see if there’s something I should try to fill that role until Batch 3 is done, and to use if I go somewhere I’m legitimately very worried about losing or breaking it, I remember why I ended up here in the first place.

Sure there are other pretty good options, and if size is not a concern there are some other very good options, but if there’s something else this small and solid that’s made with the quality of the Nomad (even just in the vapor and vapor path) that doesn’t have any serious drawbacks, please DM me what it is because I’m not finding it.

If you don’t have other great options in this space, maybe consider getting your Nomad out of the house more? :sherlock:

(me at the bar after a walk) What I'm learning to like most about this vape is its portability / palmability. I find myself comfortable walking around with it in my hand. Which leads to it being used for multiple hits as one wanders about. In that sense it's a session vape that doesn't know it's a session vape.

I've messed around a lot with this thing and it's been a lot of fun. Today I put the ring back in on top of my inverted screen, topped off with the second screen, also inverted. I can fit a nice sized pinch in that way without over-packing things. And, all things considered, as has been referenced, pushing things to the opposite side of the stem after a couple of hits or so is a good way to go. Worked well for me today. Gets both sides of the load nicely vaped. Easy and effective.

@GetLeft that photo actually gives an excellent idea of the Nomad’s size. If Dan ever made a catalogue, this would be a great image. It also makes your point quite well, it’s safe and secure in a front pocket without an unseemly bulge. And if you wanna pull it out and show it off, you know they’re going to be impressed. So you got that going for ya, which is nice... thanks for sharing your Friday!

My daughter just combusted her load in the Nomad.:disgust: As a father, what would be the appropriate punishment to hand down for such sacrilege?:goon:

Stem and screens are currently soaking in ISO, but not sure what to do with the wood ring that was in use at the time? Maybe q-tip with some bourbon?

Celebrating the day with the nomad exclusively. Getting amazing flavor hits on this here high heater. You just have to push the button a little bit then pull the heat through. I feel like the nomad provides a platform that gets me 'higher' than my other vapes or a different
"vape signature" that is unique and pleasant. The pure convection is a different high that is stronger or different and better imho. Cheers and happy 420 to all. D.
Edit , you can see through the whole vapour path. No wires. How did Dan come up with this? Either way I am in awe of this amazing vape that is so small yet powerful. I sure hope everybody is doing good today. :rockon:Happy Easter, 420, Passover etc. We're over here feeling good. Cheers to all!!!! Cheers to Dan Morrison! DirtyD.:nod::razz:

I was honestly skeptical about the signature thing but I've gotta say that's gotta be one of the only sleeves where the signatures not only look good on it, but almost make it look better.

Yeah, I didn’t remember which sleeve he had when he first asked about it, and on some I don’t think they would mesh well, but on that one they look good!

Well, thank you. :)

@Dan Morrison, thanks for encouraging me to get my Nomad autographed. I think my paper did lend itself to this quite well.

You probably want to spray something on that to seal it, otherwise it will come off with use. Maybe ask Dan what might be good for that.

Yeah, I was thinking that earlier today as well, so I’m glad you brought it up. @Dan Morrison, what do you think would work? Keep in mind, the finish is whatever you were doing when you created #13, and I’ve not treated it in any way.

Honestly though, I’m not sure I don’t want to allow the autographs to become worn. Either way, it’ll be a great item to pass on to my grandson (hopefully many years from now!). He’ll get my Nomad AND the BB gun.....when he’s old enough to handle both responsibly.

Thanks for the battery recommendation @SloJimFizz ! If no one really disagrees I’ll just order several of those and a charger when I figure out whether the more expensive ones are worth the extra money.

If I’m not sure I’ll probably just try a Nitrcore 4 or 6 battery charger since that brand seems to be popular around here...but a little searching also makes it look like it might be just one of several brand names on the same charger getting a higher price due to name recognition?

Unless Dan changes the design in the future, it needs a sleeve to stand up; without it the bridge between the battery and heater sticks out the bottom. It’s still perfectly usable like this, and people do it, but you could also get a very basic design (even a solid color) or ask Dan about the possibility of just wood for the sleeve.

Alternatively you could wait and see how things go in future batches since I know you’re not the first to want this and Dan’s always looking to refine and improve things. :)
Have a 4-slot Nitecore and I love it

Your choice. They will most likely just fade away and disappear with 6 months to a year of regular use.
