The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Hello Mighty thread :). Sorry if I'm interrupting anything, but I'm desperately trying to find out more information about the charge port on the Mighty and can't seem to find much online. Specifically I want to find out if the Firefly cable could fit into and charge it as well. If not, then are there any adapters that can go from microUSB to whatever the Mighty uses?

Thanks!
Hello @RobDaBomb a quick search of the forum brought me to this...
I keep one of these in each my my cars in case I need a jump start. But they work well as a extra power cell for the Mighty.

While it doesn't appear to be usb, I'm sure it will power your mighty and all your other vapes...and your car if you need it!

something I found out recently......

I have my mighty a full year. my sessions are 1-2 times 6-12 tokes daily.
i'm holding it with the mouth piece up. even when i'm done I put it in the side pocket of the couch, up again.

a few weeks ago I turned the unit upside down while toking, with the mouthpiece down.....
....and it hit me hard!!!!!! there must be some oil/reclaim on the lower side of the oven, that got accumulated there, i can't explain it otherwise.....
since then I do the "upside down" trick ,once a week or so, and it is working most of the times.

I don't do oil or wax, just bud. :leaf:

can anyone confirm this?

I've had my suspicion. I have noticed a performance decrease over time and have saw some oily substance by where the intake might be. I was thinking about a way to blow compressed air in it to open up a potential tube...but I haven't figured out how to do it.

Interesting.

Will begin tests immediately if not sooner.

Thanks WakeAndVape! I don't currently have a Mighty but am considering purchasing one when my LHS decides to give me a worthwhile discount in the future. I like the micro-start battery you found, but it's not something I'd purchase with the vape... more something I could see myself getting as an add on down the line.

I can't figure out what specific type of connector the Mighty uses to charge, but it looks visually similar to the one I have for my Firefly. The Mighty would be, surprisingly, more of a on-the-go vape for me and I'd love to use the Firefly car charger on it -- otherwise I'd need to factor the cost of purchasing a separate car charger and such into the overall Mighty purchase. Car charging is very important to me and having 3 separate chargers (one for the Firefly, Mighty, and my phone) is quite cumbersome and not ideal.

I'm hoping to find someone on the forum who currently owns both vaporizers and would be willing to try plugging their Firefly charger into the Mighty for science purposes.

I have a Crafty and ff. close enough? The ff adapter is a pin. The Crafty adapter resembles a mini usb. So they're not compatible...

The crafty and mighty actually have different chargers. The crafty is, yea, like a mini usb, the mighty looks more like a head phone plug in. Just looks simaler not size wise and all that technical stuff.

You need to find out the inner and outer dimensions for the pin. Plus the voltage needs to be compatable. I would try a universal battery kit. But the mighty car charger isn't that expensive. Plus I doubt you would have to charge the mighty more than once a day if you start with a full charge. Puff it up will probably have a better deal than your LHS...fyi

So I have had my Might for about 6 months now. i love it! However, I just noticed the top fin around the metal chamber are all cracked. one broke off the other day. My unit has never been dropped or misused. A bit concerned that it is falling apart already.

Any of you experience similar problems? If so, have you contacted S&B to resolve? What did they do about it? How did they offer to fix it?

It happens to most units. Bickel and Storz told me that the problem is purely aesthetic but that they will warranty units with this problem anyway. I burned my fingers on my units that had broken fins.

Both of my mighty units are cracked to all hell so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that warranty for them will be painless. I just can't be asked to part with either of them at the moment!

I don't get it, I have seen some pretty beat up units. My two OG units were pretty much flawless! One teeny tiny crack on the top rib that was completely my fault for having it in a cargo pocket during a trail run! My recent 30XXX Mighty still looks brand new and i've used it plenty as well.

I've had the Volcano and the Plenty. I'm glad I have the Mighty! Anyways, I think alot of these aesthetic issues are due to operator error, otherwise I must be really lucky with my 3 units (and 2 Crafty's) and I usually don't get lucky.

The Mighty is officially my new favourite vaporizer of all time! Glad I have a second on the way!

I'm not seeing/feeling anything different with an upside-down Mighty. Some folks use it that way all the time with water adapter.
Are you saying you get can a big hit even with an empty oven, from something residual? I don't think I can agree. Don't think hits are stronger even when there is bud in upside-down bowl, can't see how the Mighty would 'know' the difference in orientation!
I am, however, glad you are enjoying your vape experience!

I don't think he was saying the orientation of the device made it hit harder...

He was saying that the tube under the hearing unit may have oil or residue in it, and when he turned it upside down it made the oil run back into the heating unit.

I suppose you would only be able to test if you had a mighty with a suspected gunked tube.

Anyways, I think alot of these aesthetic issues are due to operator error, otherwise I must be really lucky with my 3 units (and 2 Crafty's) and I usually don't get lucky.
I don't know bio...I always get offended when you say shit like that, it's like someone saying: I don't know why people's kids keep getting abducted, it must be their fault, my kids play outside all of the time...

(Not exactly) buy anyway, I love my mighy dammit!...how dare you?!?!

All jokes aside. Maybe your bio hacking has worked and you can sense and avoid the pressure points of the mighty. I have treated mine well too, but it still broke...badly, I'll post pics later.

So sorry man, they are just my thoughts, sounds like you get offended easily? I'm also just echoing what has been said before in this very thread.

Don't worry, I was just joking anyway.

I'm just curious how your mighty stay so pristine...

Do you use the filling aid when you fill the bowl?

One of my theories is since I don't use the filling aid, small bits of herb land around the bowl and when I place the cu they can become logged in the corners (which get weak when they are heated)
And over time stress breaks the plastic.

The weird thing is once it starts chipping, it's like a roller coaster ride to bullshit.

I honestly don't know how to not keep it pristine? I use the filling aid sometimes, but mostly dump in with a small metal spoon. I use the brush somewhat, but i'm not ocd about it. They way I see some of the chips out of the front and back sides, even not near the bowl... I dunno, I just don't see how those chips could occur without trauma, but i'm sure i'll soon find out!

I need to burn my fucking cooling units screen every 2-3 times I vaporize because it gets so clogged of this "oily" thing and when I lit it on fire with lighter it burns very black and starts to smell like hash. :D Is this normal because I dont think it acted like this always lol.. I think I should anyways send it back because finns are broken and might leak some air?

I know I'm opening myself up for all sorts of scrutiny but this is what my mighty looks like after SUPER HEAVY USE (sometimes 3.5gs a day) after 6months...

See I told ya...the four posts that hold the unit together have all broke but one...it is 'classily' held together by a rubber band...

That's why most of the time (now) I use this instead

It is just like hash, if you have a dome less nail, you can actually dab a gooey screen fyi...just a little trick I learned in 'nam.

If you haven't yet...scrape the goo out the cu!

Holy fuck dude! That's insane! I put about 2g/day through mine and one of them ended up with a forum member, and they didn't even look remotely close to yours. I haven't seen anything even close to this bad, I thought all of our gripes and complaints were about a rib cracking or breaking here and there, which has been mostly resolved with the thicker reinforcements?

I think a Plenty would be much better suited for your needs man...especially at 3.5g/day! The condition of just the bowl area and material all around it now confirms my initial curiosity on why some people have issues with hardware durability when others don't.

looking at this pics made me think of a "maybe easy" mod, regarding the broken parts where the cooling unit locks in.
I think that all we need to create is a metallic plate (like a shim) thin enough (1mm or so) to fit between the cu and the unit ,
but cut exactly like the unit is on top (or even smaller). this shim would then be screwed or glued on the top of the unit.
the purpose of this would be the shim would hold the plastic underneath in place if it's not broken, or hold the cu down if a piece is already broken.....

someone with a CNC could make these in minutes......

something like this:
