Send that thing in man . That's like a healthy hazard. I hope that plastic doesn't offgass
There is no off gassing from the plastic at all and I seriously doubt it's a 'health hazard' but it isn't sealed as tight as it should be. My first one was in the same condition before the warranty repair.

Holy fuck dude! That's insane! I put about 2g/day through mine and one of them ended up with a forum member, and they didn't even look remotely close to yours. I haven't seen anything even close to this bad, I thought all of our gripes and complaints were about a rib cracking or breaking here and there, which has been mostly resolved with the thicker reinforcements?

I think a Plenty would be much better suited for your needs man...especially at 3.5g/day! The condition of just the bowl area and material all around it now confirms my initial curiosity on why some people have issues with hardware durability when others don't.
Na, I think the plenty is okay and may try one...but I like my portables.

My plan with the next one is just to add it to a rotation of vapes instead of making it the center peice.

Right now I am using the vapman more than anything. I had it shelved for a couple of months, rediscovered it and fell in love again.

The mighty is not designed for daily heavy use. Simple and plain. I plan to wreck them until S&B gets it together.
looking at this pics made me think of a "maybe easy" mod, regarding the broken parts where the cooling unit locks in.
I think that all we need to create is a metallic plate (like a shim) thin enough (1mm or so) to fit between the cu and the unit ,
but cut exactly like the unit is on top (or even smaller). this shim would then be screwed or glued on the top of the unit.
the purpose of this would be the shim would hold the plastic underneath in place if it's not broken, or hold the cu down if a piece is already broken.....

someone with a CNC could make these in minutes......

something like this:

When they thought of reinforcements they should have naturally went to a design that incorporates more than plastic.

While I believe the plastic is safe. It still has the same limitations and weaknesses of plastic. If I knew more about design I would totally try to rig something up

well, for the plastic to get to that point of corrosion there had to have been some molecules turning to gas. if there wasnt the material would have marks of chipping and not marks of melting.

I'm not sure how it looks in the picture, I can tell you from my pov the edges are all sharp and broken and not melted.
My theory is the heat makes the plastic susceptible to breaks.

One post broke off then the other three followed

But to be FAIR that is NOT a unit with the reinforced housing.

At the time when I sent the mighty in to oakland, they told me there was no reinforced housing...lol

Maybe now I'll get it.

Looks really bad, believe me:disgust: ... inside the box was, beyond the mighty, a brush ... You used it? ;) A tissue also does a good job soon after the session.

I'm serious, maintenance is important in all ...:myday:

My Vapman is also clean with brush:rockon:

Instead of offering passive aggressive comment in a box of helpfulness, a simple question would have been better.

Yes I know there is a brush. Yes I have used it. No I don't use it religiously.

And the reason why the bowl is so discolored at this point is because the structural integrity of the mighty is compromised and I don't want to put stress that could break it, on it , before I send it in for warranty...hence saving myself additional charges.

Thanks for your concern.

I have plenty of other vapes that I have had longer than the mighty and none of them look like the mighty.

The mighty is like a beautiful person that ages horribly.

It will be the mightys second trip back to storz and bickel and for good reason.

I don't go out my way to keep the mighty guarded beyond normal reason.

I use it with friends. I use it in public. I use it alot in alot of situations where tons of gear is more of a liability than an asset.

Unfortunately, this may be my biggest caveat with the vape.

I do treat mine like an angel, to the point where I almost felt I wasn't getting as much use out of it as I should be. I was actually highly considering buying a Crafty, because for me, the Mighty is not that portable. I mean, it is, but it's a vaporizer that I'm bringing in my car to the bar, and then going out to the car, loading it up and vaping it. Or movies, etc.

At a friends house, its something I bring inside with me, but if this was a few years back and I had to worry about hiding it from parents, it would be real obnoxious with the case to fit in any of my pockets. And without the case, I'd worry about it breaking.

While it certainly can fit in my inside jacket pocket without the case, it is much too bulky with the case. The case honestly kills the portability for me, just makes it much bigger across the board, but I just encountered my first scratch on the sticker last week lol. So it does it's job really well for protecting it, but it kills the portability on an already pretty big portable vape.

I also wonder if that is why so many people have structural problems with the Crafty. It's smaller, it's much easier to just toss in your pocket for a night on the town. Which is why I was thinking of grabbing one, but I could imagine it getting much more fucked up being in my pocket with me sitting up and standing and moving around, and in general things just going in and out of the pocket.

Don't sweat the interior of the bowl though bro! This is me 8 months in.

Need to snag me one of those Magic Eraser's or whatever. Thing still works like a boss:rockon:

Actually, just snapped a photo of the Mighty in the foam sleeve/case I have it in, you can see how it truly kills the "portable" aspect of this vape.....not quite as thick as the EVO, but damn near as tall and wide with the case! It's a little less thick, but not much.

Magic erasers really are magic. It will also boost performance.

But the state my mighty is in I am reluctant...the housing over the heating unit, in the middle isn't fully locked and I don't want to break it out of its seat.

I know this isn't a very relevant question overall, but I thought I'd follow up with my early inquiry about the Mighty charge port.

So I went to my favorite head shop the other day and brought my Firefly charger with me, they let me open a Mighty box and see if the cables were a match. Not at all, the Firefly's was clearly smaller in diameter. I noticed the Mighty power adapter looks exactly like old 9-12v chargers that I used to use as a kid for RC cars and such. I'm sure these cables are quite common around some houses, if you ever find any then compare the output/input to the Mighty. I'd imagine they could make decent spare chargers.

I really wanted the Mighty, but the power adapter was a deal breaker for me due to my daily needs. Instead I opted for a $275 dollar Crafty (that I'm now in love with), which I felt was a good enough deal to justify my eccentric spending habits, due to the microUSB cable support.

I have a Crafty and store it in a RYOT PackRatz case. It is (supposed to be) smell proof and fits like a glove! Adds almost nothing to the size of the Crafty. I don't know if the Mighty will fit as well in the large, but you may want to look into it. MUCH cheaper alternative to buying another vape.

But far be it from me to get between you and your vas...

Dude, the mighty lasts 2 1/2 times the length of the crafty.

The crafty takes 3 hours to charge, while the mighty takes only one.

The crafty is still prone to breakage.

You have to use the app anytime you want to tweak something.

I likes the crafty when I had it....but the mighty is a better deal no matter how you slice it.

But good luck you made the second best choice ;)

Do not take this the wrong way my previous comment ... please. I think it has had any effect on you at least looking at your last post here.
Gives a strong cleaning in your mighty, just a bit of ISO and some cotton buds ... you can also use the brush with ISO with the mighty upside down.
Think about it... you will send it in this state for assistance? It does not seem like a good idea. I already had a mighty but sold it and now have 2 craftys which in total have been for warranty 5 times! Always received a new crafty!

I have a cleaning video I made somewhere online. I know how to clean my unit. That is not the problem, and I have sent in a dirty mighty before and they sent it back with a brand new casing and the same dirty bowl. Lol.

I'm not really concerned about it. And like I said cleaning it will most likely further break it at this point...so I will most likely just give it a light surface clean.

LOL..That's why you should clean it before sending.:mental:
If you don't shows minimum care with your device is perfectly understandable to me that they have sent you the same dirty mighty.

Yeah, at times when I hold the Crafty in my hand and think about how small it is I wish I went with the Mighty. But at the same time, I've been loving being able to throw it on any USB charger near me. The main reason I went with it was just because I'm out driving/stopping at peoples houses throughout half the day - I already have multiple car chargers and wall chargers for things and it started to become an issue carrying and keeping track of everything since purchasing my Firefly.

When things settle down in the next few months I may revisit the Mighty - or even a Volcano xD - for most of my home needs.

Last time I received a warranty replacement I tested a two month old dirty oven against a brand new shiny one to see if there was any point in cleaning the oven. There was no difference whatsoever. Nothing different with the taste or performance or anything. I don't bother cleaning mine after that.

What ARE the point of your comments? At this point it almost sounds like your trying to be helpful...but with what I explained already, your clearly not reading the things im saying and instead picking certain phrases to throw lightweight insults.

Have a good day.

For some reason, my experience seemed the opposite, but I was high.
I'll have to document more closely next time.

I don't get it, I have seen some pretty beat up units. My two OG units were pretty much flawless! One teeny tiny crack on the top rib that was completely my fault for having it in a cargo pocket during a trail run! My recent 30XXX Mighty still looks brand new and i've used it plenty as well.

oh don't get me wrong, nearly all of the cracks on my babies are 100% operator error:lol:

Damn @WakeAndVape ... I hope mine never becomes like that. I'm pretty careful with my Mighty and have had it for about 8 months now. I vape anywhere from 385F to 400 six times a day with the Mighty. I always open up the CU after a session even when it's super hot and so far... knock on wood... nothing has happened yet.

I hope not either. Like I said. Once it started to chip around the heating unit, the rest went pretty fast over a few months.

There was no single big event. At times like this I'm definetly happy I have a warranty.
