Old & In the Way
I haven't read of anyone being busted for using the device with a water tool. One member reported being denied warranty because the moisture detection strip was activated. I didn't think he was bullshitting at all, and he reported an eventual resolution to the dispute. That member said his proximity to water was when kayaking. Even if the strip were activated, they wouldn't know the specific reason, only that it happened.Yeah this has been a truly humbling experience to be without my mighty for going on 2 weeks and its scheduled for delivery today. Its bedn sitting at fedex in my vity wince xmas day..waiting for its scheduled delivery date. Oh well it will be here today and i havent recieved a single word from s and b wince i sent mine in besides me bugging them and they saying they had it. So i font know if they fixed mine or sent me new one or what? Ill tell u one thing. All of the people who say if u use mighty with water they will know and not warranty it..i call bull crap on that..i use mighty thru water 95 percent if time and looks like i got something coming to me .theur moisture meter must be broken.
The fact that S&B specifically state that the device is not to be used "over water" causes me and others to think twice about using water tools. After thinking twice, I do it anyway! just carefully so's not to bump it all over and get everything soaking wet!
If you think this is bull crap, maybe next time your device legitimately craps out, drop it in the toilet then dry it off real good before sending it in and let us know how that goes!
Your frustrations will soon be a distant memory!
Enjoy your Mighty in the New Year.
