I was getting very close to purchasing a Mighty until I caught wind of these "bugs" you guys are experiencing. Should I wait on getting this device till all bugs are fixed and grab a Air or something less expensive till then???

Loving the taste from the Volcano so far, so much better than the mighty in that regard! I'll post a review at the weekend mate ;)

I would agree, at least the first bag tastes great from a volcano. Then like any vape the great taste fades as you vape more and the herb gets heated.

But, like my volcano on its second or third bag, the mighty's taste fades but remains cool and fully acceptable tasting vapors right up to the max temps, at least for me. I cough a lot on my volcanos second bag, so I've taken to just doing one big bag and saving the abv for extracting later. So my volcano might be a bit more wasteful than the mighty.

For strickly taste, I like my enano, ssv, volcano, then mighty in that order. But I use my mighty the most because it's so damn convenient, and like I said the taste is fully acceptable all the way through, even after those first couple great tasting hits.

Now if we had a portable convection vape, that traveled well and had the battery life of a mighty......

Vapin' with my Mighty
Does anyone find it odd that my serial number is at 11k? I bought Mighty a few days ago directly from Storz & Bickel and the serial (SN) is MY011xxx. I see people talking about 15k and whatnot, so wouldnt that mean that my unit is for some reason a lot older than people normally get when theyve both Mighty directly from S&B as of late?

No, why should you wait to buy, it's under warranty....
If you want an inferior vape go ahead!
But speaking of bugs...my auto shut off stopped working a couple days ago

I just don't want stuff going wrong with it is all. Seems like some people right off the bat have some issues. I get that it's the best or one of the top but it scares me to drop 400 and have problems with it

If the engineers at Hermes iron out all the reliability and quality control issues surrounding the Minivap, that might be the device you're looking for [waves hand, nerdy Star Wars reference]. Apparently when it works, it's meant to be a beast.

I don't find it that weird, and I wouldn't be alarmed if mine was below 12k. I'd be concerned if it was below 3k, because that to me would indicate it came from an early batch.

S&B have good customer service standards, so in the event of your device failing, I'm sure the returns process is pretty smooth. Can't really ask for more.

There was a discussion about using Minivap baskets for more convection. I don't know if you read this. I didn't like it too much.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. The concept itself is the best I saw so far.

I ordered mine from Toronto Vaporizer on Tuesday. Man are they slow. It still hasn't been shipped out and they assured me it would by by 4:30 today. I ordered a Plenty from vaporizers.ca on a Tuesday at around 4:30 and it was at my house by 11am the following day....ans they're in Ottawa. I live about half an hour outside of Toronto. They assured me it's the latest model so it better be. The bugs are a bit of a worry. Haze paid for all shipping related expenses when I had an issue and I can't recommend them enough. It doesn't seem S&B are as big on service but hopefully I won't have to find out. It sucks having to ship to the states.

I totally understand now... I love my Mighty too and the taste is awesome, and for me very sweet tasting until the very end, but I know how flavour can taste as well, through other vapes and can appreciate that.
Hey hacker how long does your initial bar of charge last? How many minutes of use would you say? Or sessions for that matter

That's not my experience at all, both times I ordered the Mighty I received tracking within hours, but I also ordered in the morning. I only live 50km away from them, and shipping took longer than I expected, but still it was only maybe 3 days. Vaporizers.ca wouldn't budge below $469!

Not sure, haven't really timed it but it never drops in the first session like the Crafty. I'll keep an eye on it!

EDIT: Vapeworld Canada has increased the price of the Mighty (and Crafty). I wonder when TorontoV will plug the plug on this sale? Perhaps S&B is cracking down on MAP? Glad I snagged mine at such a deal when I did!

No body wants anything to happen to their vape. My serial number is in the 7k range, and I bought from S and about a month ago. If you want the best portable, right now it's a mighty. No question. Its way better than an air.

The reliability is not perfect yet, but this vape is still fairly new, and most of the problems were firmware and S and B took care of owners quickly. And we have at least two years on our warranty, and because of these issues I would not be surprised if S and B went above and beyond their warranty. It's up to you, and they are expensive, but if you try one you'll know why it's valuable. Happy vaping no matter what you choose.

That sounds like a good thing
My thoughts exactly, it was unexpected though

The "bugs" you speak of don't seem to scare any owners off since CS takes care of them quick and easy. My Mighty is a serial number in the 1500 range and while I have had a hiccup it has not been bad enough to part with my beloved. I have used it as a daily driver of 3-8 bowls a day since the beginning of November. so my unit does not behave anymore like it did when it was brand new but it still blows the doors off my solo in every respect and I still have 1.5 years of warranty. I was going to send it in but before I did I broke out the solo to make sure it would fill the 12 day void, it won't. I will most likely buy a second Mighty or recently thinking a Crafty to cover the time the Mighty will be away.

I was just going through my vape boxes and found 30 brand new 1.5-2.4 ohm Omni carts at $50 a 5 pack, lmao that is $300 of trash. Plus the $600 of battery packs and batteries that ran those 601 carts and the previous $800 in carts I had bought, used, and tossed in the trash, now that was a money pit. I don't see the Mighty/Crafty as a waste of any money since anyone that has used one is simply amazed at how well it extracts and medicated. Honestly when I gave up smoking herb the only thing that cut it was extracts to get me medicated until the Moghty/Crafty came along my path.

it seems to me that something might be up with my batteries. the first bar of battery went down on my second session(my sessions usually 15-20 mins) the second bar went down on my third session, and the third bar went down on my fourth. I just received it and im not too sure of wether or not the batteries are meant to be drained that quick or not.

@radiant34 : you liked my post #2479 on page 100 where I tested how my batterie behaves.
Your device should be good!

Edit: Am I alone with the resin build up under the air intake?

Honestly the bar indicator seems to be a bit inaccurate.

When my Mighty was new in Nov. it could do 3 bowls of decent length sessions before loosing a bar with a total of 6 sessions before hitting 3 bars. Eventually I pushed it beyond 3 bars and only got 1.5 sessions more. Now I drop bars fast but I am still getting 5-6 bowls out of the unit if I decide to push it but prefer to charge after the 3rd or 4th bowl for optimum battery health. Not much has changed except what the battery indicator is telling me and that I count bowls not bars anymore to decide when best to charge.

yea haha, but you manage to get to the third bowl before your battery drops, mine drops unfortunatelly on the second bowl . It's just strange to me since i just received the unit last week and it would take 3 bowls before battery would drop and now its 2. Maybe like GR said the battery meter probably blows. I cant seem to wrap my mind as to how they degraded that quick.

I've read somewhere that compressing weed in the oven causes buildup. It's better to keep the grass loose and not tight. That could be why theres resin build up.
