This has me concerned and is kind of a deal breaker for me. Although that's just me so please no reason to get offended - is there such thing as a vape that is made in the USA with an all glass air path? PS: I don't need you to tell me why these things are not important to you - they are important to me.
Thanks
@ButterMan totally agree. I hate plastics. IMHO plastics and heat don't go well together for taste or other aspects (which I won't go into at the risk of starting a sh1t strorm).
Although not too many people are reporting plastic taste with the crafty thus far, I'm sure they use a high quality plastic.
I was a long time lurker on these forums and other review sites before I bought a vape because I had similar concerns to you.
If you are talking portables and glass path, only 2 come to mind, Davinci ascent and arizer solo.
The davinci ascent has an all glass vapor path, however, the air path goes through some of the circuitry in the middle (where the 2 glass stems meet and have an air gap) and there have been many reports of plasticy robot fart tastes. I think there are ways to improve the seal and vapor to air ratio, but it's all too much hassle for me to rip open a brand new vape. If they release a v2 with this problem fixed, and no circuitry in the air path, I would buy it.
It is made in China.
The solo is a stainless steel oven (most recent model) and a glass stem (so effectively a glass vapor path). I never got a plasticy taste. Not even the first pull. There are very little, to no, reports of plasticy robot fart tastes.
I think some air is drawn from the bottom through the same area as the battery but it has never been a problem for me.
It is made in Canada.
Both have somewhat restricted draws from report; I think you mentioned that was a concern. But for me the latest model solo with a pvhes stem is an easy draw (but I'm young and fit).
If you don't mind stainless steel think about the firefly! Heard lots of good things about that. Or wait and see if there are more plastic taste complaints for the crafty/mighty.
