How are people scratching their ovens?
You are supposed to deform the wire mesh screen in the bottom of the oven before trying to remove it (by reducing its diameter it will almost fall out)...an appropriate-sized socket worked for me to squish a doughnut type of impression on it.
The bowl is also just plain old soft aluminium...it scratches easily so only use wooden scrapers (at most) when trying to get the walls clean.

That's awesome! where you get that? I have to look into that.

EDIT : found it https://www.vaporisateur.net/access...educteur-de-chambre-en-verre-microdosing.html
Thanks for the link, awesome idea over those aluminum caps! I love you guys doing all the leg work for me…. I pulled the trigger on the Crafty+ in the end. My #1 goal will be the keep that oven clean

The mighty+ is tempting! My mighty from page 1 of this thread is still going strong but the new model looks great.
Oh yeah I remember… you came up with that dyi wpa when the Mighty was launched!

Anybody wanting to remove their bowl screen in a "+" model by deforming it like on the old ones, be careful,
Or don't do it at all.
(On the first Crafty+ models anyway for sure) It's now supported by four feet across a much wider area instead of a small central post so you might do damage if you don't work very carefully.
Personally I wouldn't try it again unless really needed.

Troy & Jerry have found some “interesting things” regarding the Crafty+ and Mighty+ & will go into detail in next week’s stream. They recommend to wait before buying until you hear what they have to say. Convo starts at 4:07 in this vid.

Some other guesses from me about these interesting things:
I found the new Crafty+C manual and it says charging is not possible during use, or don't use while charging.
So on that model they've dropped a less than ideal pass through charging system (which I would never use anyway), for no pass through at all.
Also, when I calculate what they are doing with the Mighty+ USB-C Supercharger plug, there's a slight possibility in my mind that the device might charge a bit slower while using the device to vape (pass through charging). But it should be a true pass through system which is not hard on the battery and continuously charges in use.
And, that without the USB-C Supercharger, which is not included, no pass through is possible and even just charging alone may take place very slowly if using any old 1 or 2 amp USB A charging plug that you may have lying around.

Maybe also that the vapor is in their opinion, similar, not much stronger, or has a harsher edge to the taste near the end like the Crafty+ might have also had, and they feel they slightly prefer the taste of the old one?
Then the fact that some aftermarket stands will still fit, but on some it blocks out the USB-C port.
I don't need it to stand at all and would prefer it without any legs!

Almost broke down and ordered one last night, I might not make it through tonight!
(Things have been tough lately, think I need to treat myself)

Yeah Troy and Jerry will definitely mention the lack of being able to stand without the pick trick and issue with aftermarket stands not being compatible.

Mighty's advertisement has been so deceptive with claiming it can stand to the point that people might be requesting refunds for false advertising. To quote Storz n Bickel video "We added these great fins to make the Mighty + stand securely"

No mention that it's being propped up by the pick and every shot is done specifically to avoid showing that, when they show off the device explain that it can stand they show the pick inside the unit, implying it doesn't need the pick to stand. All advertisement hides using the pick to support the Mighty.

You could be right also about pass through not being as good via usb-C or needing a special specific super charger in order to even be used in pass through mode.

Well, the Mighty+ manual is also available now and it mentions if you use too low a capacity USB socket you will get a "slo" message and it recommends using a higher capacity socket.
Also if the socket is adequate to supply direct mains power pass through you will get a "dct" message.
And there's some recommendations from the manual here:

So I wonder how long General charging takes, and if supercharging works while in use, or is any way harsher on batteries.
All worth knowing before you buy but it wouldn't put someone like me off.
Maybe that's some of what they want to talk about on the next stream anyway?

Very interesting about the super charger and the outputs.
I think SLO will mean 1amp, as the older generic usb outputs were, or it could say VERYSLO.
I don't recall if the video said how long general charging would take, only that the super type would get to 80% in blah, blah, blah. I guess after that the charger will throttle back to reduce strain on the batteries?

The og charger output is 12VDC 3amp (36W), and by the numbers I'm seeing here, I can guess (but I've been wrong before!) that in order, by elapsed charge time to full, will be;

1. USB-C PD @(45W)
2. OG Mighty charger @(36W)
3. USB-C PD @(27W)
4. USB-C 2a @(12W)
5. USB-C 1a @(let's not even go there)

This may be one of the reasons for a raise of the Troy/Jerry eyebrow?
If I am grossly mistaken, would someone please untangle for me?

Tip for La Central Vapeur orders: If you add accessories to your order, or maybe enough of them, the FC code works again!
So say I was already going to pay the €318 for the Mighty+, well then I added a large round Newvape FP stand and 6 pre-made S&B balloons, normally both totalling €139, for just €80 more overall using the code.
Or I saved almost €60 plus the 20% already off the Mighty rrp.
Hope it keeps working for everyone!

Now I just have to wait till they dispatch my order! Mighty+ for €286 is good this close to launch though.
Btw. If you want to avoid delays make sure everything you choose besides the Mighty+ is in stock or "disponsible", as some things are out or have 10 day delays but it's hard to see this with everything in French language.

Oh, I didn't think about that. I took a little blue accessorie for capsules so didn't had any problem for the code. Nice find!

the heating chamber on the mighty+ looks identical to the heating chamber on the mighty im using now that i bought a week ago
I thought the whole aluminium part would be coated in ceramic?
Not that it matters to me about aluminium i never go high temps on the mighty (i do high temps later on the extreme q with a water bong attatched)

the only way i can see me scratching the aluminium oven is when i change the wire mesh screen at the bottom, other than that id only use the nylon brushes , plastic or wood tools to remove debris (when its not hot of course) im not sure how it would get scratched otherwise

A lot of the new heating changes are internal.

Pretty sure the top is still aluminium, it's the inner bowl that has the ceramic coating.

As well as when changing filter screens, just using the S&B capsules will scratch it, it also stains very badly and hangs onto residue that some get frustrated with and use more than the S&B brush. This brush can also scratch the soft aluminium (definitely not 7075 like a BCG) walls of the Mighty when the bristles get shorter (the crimp that holds the bristles is the culprit)

Once a bowl has a couple of scratches, those scratches become resin traps, in turn those are additional collection points and then one gets the urge to, oh, maybe try a little with a magic eraser, or even a plastic kitchen scrubbie. Maybe worse? The road to ruin is paved with good intentions...
That's how it went with my first one anyway. Now I'm 8 months on with a new one and keeping it clean is easier simply knowing I that want to, and so, being reasonable in my behavior with it.
