@Aimless Ryan, the filler funnel, which is the lid of the magazine, might be helpful for you. I use that all the time.
I imagine the other problem for anyone with limited dexterity would be removal/opening of the capsule lids after use.

The sticking - of capsule to cooling unit screen - is of course a factor of cleanliness and from letting Mighty cool down with the capsule still in it. Capsule lids may sometimes also be harder to remove when allowed to cool all the way.

I usually can do up all 8 capsules without having to charge the battery.

Before I figured out the CU removes the lid most of the time, I figured out a pretty easy way to remove the lid. I just put the lid between my front teeth and pull on the bigger part with my finger and thumb. However, since the CU usually removes the lid, this is usually unnecessary.

Now that I've expressed concern about my battery, I'm not so sure there's anything wrong with it. After my comment about potentially having a crappy battery, I timed some of my usage. From a full charge my battery indicator stayed on 6/6 through one heat-up cycle (410°), then 6 minutes of use, then another heat-up cycle and 4 minutes of use before the battery indicator dropped to 5/6.

It also took about that long before the battery indicator dropped to 4/6.

So my battery seems pretty good now. Apparently I'm just crazy.

Now that I have used a capsule several times, I have the feeling capsules help the Mighty operate more efficiently by providing a little extra thermal mass. That is, I feel like the capsule may have aided my extra battery life because the oven didn't have to constantly heat up (as much as usual).

I have been using the capsules exclusively since I got my Mighty last Wednesday.

In order to use less material, I put a 1/2" screen on the bottom of my capsule, load it about half full, place another 1/2" screen on top of the herb then set a thin-walled, stainless steel washer (as in nut & bolt washer, about 1/8" thick) on top to fill up the empty space before attaching the lid. I'm certain it adds extra thermal mass as my ABV is coming out a darker color after being spent.

EDIT: I decided to use a dome screen on top of the 1/2" screen as a spacer instead of the washers. Didn't want all that extra metal in the capsule and it may have impeded airflow a bit.

Man, this thing sure does produce thick clouds! I crank it to 210C (410F) for the whole session which only takes about 6 or 7 minutes. Found myself coughing a few times (which never happens to me) on larger draws. And it medicates really, really well. This thing is a little powerhouse for sure.

Technically, I could get about eight or nine sessions per full charge but usually recharge when I am down to two bars. I follow @OF's advice on making the batteries last longer by only charging to five of six bars and not completely depleting the battery at any point.

I'll be heading to Myanmar (Burma) next month for a one year contract and this will be the vaporizer I bring with me. I'll see if I can get a Buddhist monk to hold it for a photo op...

To eliminate sticky capsules:

• Remove CU screen
• Swab inlet area after each session (easy with no screen)

To reduce herb bits escaping capsule:

• Fill the capsule
• Or, stabilize a partially filled capsule with a spacer

I will have owned my mighty 3 years in november, and I'm still learning new things about it. Yesterday I learned not to soak the cooling unit in simple green, lol.

I have two cooling units and one was sticky from rosin resin. After scraping out some resin, I did my normal wash with iso alcohol, then rinsed. But it was sticky sticky. So I used what I use on my pipes. Simple green.

It worked great took all the resin off and after rinsing the simple green off I let it dry and didn't use it for a few weeks. So yesterday I decide to clean my other cooling unit. So I scraped a little resin out then put it in a cup of simple green.

Sometime after that my wife and I were vaping what tasted like simple green flavored rosn from the first cooling unit that I thought was clean and ready to use.

Since then I recleaned it with iso alcohol, rinsed that off, then soaked it about 30 hours in water with Lemon concentrate.

Today we detected a slight simple green taste at the very end of the session when the cooling unit was hot. I think it will be ok.

The other cover got rinsed real well then spent the night in white vinegar and water. It still has a slight simple green smell, so it's now soaking in lemon water for a day or two.

Moral of this story is, not every idea that pops into your head after a mighty concentrate session is a winner.

Hi I have a question about he temp readout on the mighty? Mine has from time to time started to skip a degree when I'm using it and then go up by two the next time. It's not all the time or on specific temps either more just randomly. Is this problem anyone else gets or is it just a normal thing that can happen as there has been no noticeable change in performance. I have a video of the problem to better show you guys.

Yes, me too. It also sometimes shows the temp without displaying F or C No idea why, and the problem always goes away in a sec.

i have of course come across the firefly 2 in my research.. and while i dont mind waiting for a unit to heat up, the on-demand vapour seems by all accounts much more appropriate to my way of consumption

Stay away from the FF2 imo, the Mighty can do micro loads using the mesh pad. Good Luck!

I always use 99% iso alcohol.
Separate two halves of cu (no further dis-assembly needed) and put them in a ziplock with 1 or 2 ounces of iso, then suspend that in a bowl or glass of very hot tap water, maybe 15 minutes. Take baggie out of water for occasional shake. Rinse with either a tad of clear iso or a lot of clear water.

My bowl has gotten all scraped up. I don't remember it getting this bad with the Crafty; could it be the capsules scratching it up? I'm sure that leaving spent capsules in overnight doesn't help, but any thoughts on this?

How many minutes of actual use should I be getting off a full battery charge when vaping entirely at the max temperature? I realize that S&B's claim of 90 minutes of use per charge will not apply to me because of my high temperature use.

My mighty is 34 months old and I get roughly 5, maybe 6 sessions vaping rosin at 410F. I don't keep track of time. When new, obviously, it lasted longer.

Idk about pass through charging use as I never tried that.

This is from S&B support page, under Mghty/FAQ's:

"Yes. If the MIGHTY is operated while plugged in, the batteries will be bypassed. Therefore, the MIGHTY can be used even with completely drained batteries if it is plugged in and switched on."

I love using Mighty plugged in and watching the charge level actually go UP during use. This is one huge difference between Crafty and Mighty; with Mighty you never have to wait for re-charge as long as power is nearby. It seems to bypass the battery, except when desired temp is reached (no heat being created), then it goes into charge mode.

But I do understand that your question is still not fully answered. The statement above (from S&B) describes a depleted battery situation, not necessarily a dead battery situation. I, too, have often wondered whether Mighty could just live on forever as a plug-in even after battery death.

only way to find out is kill the batteries - maybe only charge it from zero to one bar all the time
but it's really astonishing that there are no reports about that till now, batteries seem to hold up even degraded pretty long...

Me too! This is the only vape I know of that can do that. (as we all know, Crafty and IQ need 20% to turn on and neither can charge faster than depletion...)

Yeah that 10W USB charging would suck - 12V DC is perfect for cars and esp for self sufficent solar systems, no unnecessary conversion losses

Can't say I've heard of a combustion event with the Mighty, it it did happen, I'm sure it was a faulty device.

Thru water I go straight to 410f and sometimes work get hard, I've never been close. We're well clear of combustion temps.

Second ?, yes. Some work them slow and low, some how after it and don't back off. For a regulated portable, it's incredibly versatile. I haven't used another unregulated portable, that can do everything like this. Others may excel at something specific, but can't be used easily for the whole gamut.

I use both the stock CU, and @Ratchett 's v3 adapter which I highly recommend. More often I prefer it thru water with the adapter. But stock is nothing but great also.

It's a wonderful all around vape that's rock solid for reliability and delivers a great session.

I don't know about 'overcharge'! I don't think that's even a realistic possibility. Conditioning the battery isn't necessary.
It should arrive at about 80% or so. Put it on charger until full, which won't take very long. Then maybe run it up to full temp once or twice (empty chamber burn-off) just to be sure it's not going put out a weird smell or anything.
First bowl or two might have a slight "new vape" taste, but that will quickly fade away.

Either side is fine, I tend to put it MP right facing the screen day to day, and reverse it to cover the screen with my hand when discretion or dark is wanted.

Stop at the nubs. @Ratchett made it semi-firm to keep from creating pressure, which was a problem with other manufacturers. Going past those will start adding that pressure again.

if youre using it holding it in your hand - it changes the side the display faces

..but is annoying - damaging smallest o-ring

at some point later on when youre cleaning c/u
youll push the two halves of the c/u back together
and try to slide the latch with the hologram on the top -it wont want to fully close

..dont make mistake of giving it a little extra push - the o-ring is trapped
it has slipped - you reopen it and re-seat the little o-ring
