The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Old & In the Way
the warranty is transferable they told me.
I bought the mighty without certain warranty security of eBay.

It did not perform like i am used to with S&B products.
So I mailed them the SN to check how old my unit is.
Had no receipt so they only could check when they sold the unit to a vendor.

As the entire mighty-line is not 2 years old yet every mighty out there is still under warranty !

the eBay unit had a strange smell when hot, the old housing, back sticker scratched away, no reliable vibration feature but was legit.

now i have a brand new mighty for a real bargain.

c´mon, beers on me

:D
Sounds like you've decided to keep it!

I had a feeling you might.

Anyone load their mighty after its up to temp to reduce any cooking done by the conduction of the bowl???

Full hot air convection!!!

(With conduction)

Lol
No, I actually prefer to have some conduction going on because it makes the vapor thicker and more consistent.

For those with dosing capsules , I just received mine. They forgot 2 in the package but besides that , are you just dropping them in or removing the bottom screen in the mighty ? They are kinda tight with the bottom screen in and I don't like the feeling of when i lock the mp on. I can see it wearing down quicker .

Got to use the dosing capsules. Love the convenience but there is definitely less vapor and it is less tasty. Resin seems to be collecting on top of the capsule. When I remove the capsules they are coated in resin that drips down from the CU. Maybe it gets hotter than without? This happened every so often before but now almost every capsule is coated, even after I do a quick clean of the CU.

Anything in the vapor path will condense it look at the design of the capsules and tell me does it not seem like a 40% reduction in area free for the vapor to pass through? It can only go through the hole or is this just the effect of cooked vapor rising and sticking to the top of the caps?

When you stop taking hits, Conduction cooks your bowls still and im sure some vapor rises so is it that or is it the holes? Im taking a drill to my caps personally and will drill out the holes leaving the rims and insert a screen. This way u have options it seems S&B made a bad design choice because we have taste complaints also. So thats two cons now condensing and flavour.

I think these were solely for people who cannot manage to load it normally.

My capsules fit the mighty very tight . I used a few last night and happened to like them, perfect for a small single session , I got about 15 hits out of one capsule at 386F , Are they meant to be re-used or thrown out after use as I am having trouble re-opening them after my session ?

S&B told me they are single use units.
but they also say this in a slightly different manner about the easy valve bags.

been testing the AIR vs Mighty lately.

I used my Air all day yesterday, it was my first real vape if u don't count a launch box I got 6 years ago....tastes from Air is great..effect not so much but the glass air path is best for flavor and loading imo but the air could never seem to fully extract.

Dude I dunno why your going around in all the threads and bashing the air , I suggest you check out the arizer air thread for some help. The thread has a big following and it happens to be a great vape and extracts very well so you possibly got a fake or your using it wrong.

true,
it leaves a light brown with a hint of green.

the mighty delivers a dark brown.

i usually vape AIR on white 3 draws dry
than green,orange,red through d020.

collect ABV and run a big load through the verdamper

i think i have no real need for a mighty.
damn you VAS

Air always left material light yellow/brown not the dark crispy brown like my other unit. And u gotta stir at least once...mines legit from Canada and will for sure outlast all my others.

I suggest you post in the air thread about it as this is not the place for it. Mines always dark and fully extracted so your prob not packing or grinding correctly. Go to the air thread you'll get a ton of help there and have your air working the way it was intended too.

Now I know hat the mighty smell reminds me of:

-
hairdryer, a warm hairdryer

not nice but not tolerable, i guess.

not the tastiest portable mainstream vape, I postulate.

Fuck that. Maybe for doctors to prescribe, but I've already used the same one three times and it's fine. I see no reason they can't be used indefinitely. You will crush them before they wear out.

Agreed. I just used one, and it easily fell right out of the bowl and was easier to take apart when warm.

Flavor was still great, and vapor production was even better than normal. Keeps the bowl and CU cleaner. I like.

Wow...just finished first session, Loaded about .1 of course ground orange diesel, it came up to the top with light tamp. First hit at 356F was amazing, super sweet orange peel flavor followed by A+buzz. Only took about 5-7 long slow draws. I was afraid the factory taste would come thru, the dry hit after the burnoff was unpleasant German factory taste but not detectable during sess. Ima shove the pad on top to kill it.

Mmmm that cool vapor...i think h.r. giger designed the s&b portables . Piu had them in stock for less than 2 days, wow...the initial charge was maybe 5 minutes so it couldn't have been sitting in the warehouse for long. The manual stated that when its fully charged to first unplug the wall wart then disconnect the plug from the mighty..anyone follow this protocol?

Wonder if it's possible to sandwich some loose kief between two liquid pads.

people recommend different techniques for concentrates (by themselves, not mixed w/flower):
- on top of liquid pad (S&B's recommendation)
- slice (somehow) a pad in half and put concentrate in the 'sandwich'
- buy thinner concentrate pads made by (I forget which) a different maker, use them to 'sandwich'

based on what people report back, all work fine (one of my favorite things about the mighty: not fussy).
