I didnt say I had lung irritation from hot vapour. I said "If I try to fill my lungs to max capacity with every drag than by the end of a session I can feel the pressure on my lungs." Pressure as in from the resistance. You can not say that inhaling from a mighty 10 times, to maximum lung capacity, is as easy as inhaling 10 times to max lung capacity with a Volcano bag can you? Turning down the heat will help with irritation of the lungs and throat. It will not help with draw resistance. Not that I need any help, as it is not problem. My Mighty's draw resistance is very low, but because of my weak lungs I personally notice it 'sometimes' when I hit it 'hard' consistently.
I am no expert but I believe it is that the products are being delivered in a different method between a bag and a straight draw from the mighty. I will say this my mighty has no draw resitance. A Arizer air per say has some draw resistance . The vapor is hotter from the mighty as opposed to inhaling vapor that is being delivered from a bag. I have both vapes. Two totally different methods of vaping .

@sativasam I hope my post helps you enjoy your mighty even more and helps stop or decrease that pressure you are experiencing. After I applied my mflb technique to the mighty I noticed I could get a really large hit with ease. The mighty is designed to keep up with very strong (make your mighty whistle) draws but technique will take your session to a more relaxing experience. The ease of taking a draw on the mighty should be like breathing. A good way Ive found to work on my technique in the past is to practice how long I can inhale pure air.

sativasam,
I've been lucky enough to have a Mighty by S&B for about a year now when I got one as a gift, and it has been a great year.

Recently I've been noticing an issue that my sessions seem to be much shorter. Even a relatively fully packed chamber amongst three people will only last a round, two at most. Let me recap and provide all the details:

My unit was actually out of commission for about a week because I needed new screens, and decided to go all out and just replace the cooling unit so I picked up a wear & tear kit (shipping took a while). On the first day of using the new cooling unit, I was running a session when my temperature suddenly dropped from 210 to about 195 (celsius), before giving me an ERR04 message. I turned the unit off, waited about 10 minutes more before turning the unit back on and the error message didn't pop up again.

Since then however, it seems as though all of my sessions with the unit are very, very short. Anyone who owns a Mighty will attest to how this baby can vape forever, a tightly packed session with a fine grind used to last me 20 minutes easily. Now, I'm lucky if I can get 5 minutes out of a bowl.

I've tried reducing my starting temp, stirring my material, packing more/less, all of the common sense things to combat the issue, but nonetheless my sessions seem to die extremely quickly. The most confusing part is that my material is still a darker brown when it's finished, it looks quite thoroughly vaporized, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere nearly the same amount of vapour from my product as I used to.

It's dissapointing because this thing has been a game-changer for the past year, I literally do not smoke at all anymore because of how much I prefer my Mighty, but I just don't feel as though it's doing the job anymore! I was looking into picking up a water pipe adapter to, which would have been awesome!

Any advice or tips to try would be very appreciated, obviously if it comes to an RMA then there's nothing I can do but the nature of the problem makes it tricky to report/diagnose, and as it's a gift I no longer have a receipt, that plus shipping to/from California isn't ideal so I figured I would try find a solution myself first. Thanks for any suggestions!

About the drawing....

Mighty draw resistance? Maybe if you're packing too tight....the only times I felt resistance was overpacking, or using the fine screen in the CU. There definitely isn't "no resistance" but compared to everything else out there, it's pretty wide open, like the Crafty.

Ok. The reason why it gets hard is because often is too packed. What I do is the following.

1. I pack the Mighty -0.25/0.3 grams.
2. I turn it on to 120 C/248 F. The I do 2/3 draws. You'll start getting some terpene as they start volatizing at this T and above they get heated too fast.
3. Open the mouthpiece and take away the green. Now it will be really frosty, just changing color.
4. With your hand now you'll be able to turn most of your herb into very fine tritation, so that you'll greatly expose the surface area of the inner portion of you green to heat.
5. You put everything back in the oven AND you put on top the metal cork.
RESULTS: you extract basically much more cannabinoids and you draw is waaaay simpler.
I invite you guys to do this and tell me how it was.

One question. I usually vape at 185C/365F. I used to do 10-12 draws. Now I stop at the 8th/9th maximum even though I see lots of vapor coming out because it tastes not that good and mostly because I start feeling more in my air path. Does anybody do the same or have the same feeling? Basically I know I'm throwing away stuff but I prefer it this way coz I feel that when the green gets too brown, then the vapor could get also too dry or simply changes the vapor composition and that's feeling not right inside... Any comments in this? OBS: I always use a water tool

My errlectric has not been seeing any use due to a lack of concentrates in my area, so I have been relying on my Mighty lately.

As I had a couple of 18mm glass reducers lying around, on Saturday I decided to make myself a muzzmod using my old original CU.

Holy shit, this has injected new life into my Mighty! I am now only filling the chamber half full and using my Mobius dry (no water) for massive hits. Even a half bowl is getting me totally ripped. The muzzmod turns the best portable vape ever into one of the best desktops ever. I am speechless.

Only downfall is after heavy use and hevk even use in general is my mizz mods have failed..to me it seems that i use it so much that reclaim seems to get between the glass and the jb weld??oild can get anywhere..when the reclaim gets hot it just seems to overpower the jbweld..i tried to previously mentioned the locktite weld and same issue..i have made a few with different epoxy and weld so i will keep everyone posted on results and to the ones who i made one for it will be fixed and better than ever..

I wish the easy flow adapter was made like a proper bombproof muzzmod! I don't want to get one because I don't want to be forced to use the liquid pad with it. @subway13029 please keep us posted on the success/longevity of your newer muzzmods!

@sweetherb thanks for your feedback! Your experience matches mine with just the SonG adapter...I was using that with the Mighty fully charged and plugged in as to bypass the battery and it gives my Plenty a run for the money, in fact - I like the Mighty for that purpose much better, as it's "instant" milk on that first hard sweet pull, but with my Plenty I think there is maybe less conduction, and it takes a pull or two to get it pumping, and still isn't as dense/white as the Mighty (bowl pack makes a difference as well, Plenty is MASSIVE in comparison).

I made a muzzmod a couple of weeks ago. So far, not any sign of quitting. Not in the least a critique of subway13029, this is just my recent experience.

Used glass from Oregon Glassblowers that looks to be very nicely made, and JB Weld original. The Cratfy c/u was a well-used one. When I cut it open and cleaned it up a bit it was quite warped and I had to do quite a lot of surface-leveling (rubbing on sandpaper on a flat surface so that the glass would lay flat on it. This requires some finesse, and as I'm a cabinet maker, I have some of that in this area). I would suggest that rather than encounter this, one should really just try using a new c/u for the mod. I also caution that even new c/u's may not be very flat once cut open and should be carefully checked for 'flat" before proceeding.

I was able to get the c/u part of the mod pretty well flat, though not perfect, still a hair of daylight peeking thru in just a spot, and followed through with dry clamping and applying the weld to form as full a weld-bead as possible, before allowing any to spillover the edges. It has great working time. Then 6 hrs clamped, 24 hrs total before a wash in Dawn and first trial. I only tighten it to just snug, not enough to even get the little bumps engage.
Immediate satisfaction ensued. Use it multiple X day, often at 210C, rinse in iso when glass is brown, wash in Dawn. Happy so far. I'll report any change in status...

I have a comment on Ratchett's SonG v2 for Mighty;
Bravo!
Though I haven't experienced one, I applaud that it preserves use of the bottom half of the c/u, which employs positive 'stops' to prevent overtighten (and keeps the screen!).

I used my original muzzmod for 5 months with no issues but one thing is i got some funky rounded glass adapters that didnt work well and im thinking that is one issue too..because everything else i did..

I was also using the Mighty with my various glass pieces through some tubing and an 18mm GG adapter, but the vapor then still goes through the CU and out the mouthpiece.

I knew that eliminating the CU from the path would also eliminate one source of reclaim, but the benefits in terms of the hit definitely outweigh the benefits of the reclaim for me personally. I would rather get all the goodies in one go.

I followed Muzz's instructions to the letter (had to go out and buy a decent clamp) and my mod came out great. I honestly can't imagine using the Mighty without it now. I also find it more than a little odd that S&B did not think of this themselves, as the Mighty is more than capable!

I was actually considering a log vape to conserve material, but the Mighty with mod is definitely just as good.

@Ratchett can the Mighty be hands free inverted with your adapter? I love your SonG, but it would be nice to have hands free like a muzzmod.

It's still pliable like my other adapters, but I did beef up the wall thickness a smidge so it's slightly less pliable. I was able to balance it on my D020 waterpipe, but it does still bounce around a little. Using the CU-Mod with a Hydratube is pretty trippy experience

I'm still looking for a high-temp vapor safe material to work with. I've found a few - but the sky-high prices put the accessories out of reach of most users - hopefully in another year or so I'll have some new materials to work with, but for now I'm stuck with Silicone.

I just bought one of these last week and the unit is nowhere near as good as I thought it would be, my experiences are way different to most people.

Firstly, I read that the clouds are comparible to the SSV but my findings are quite the opposite, I cant get a decent cloud really, yet with the same herbs I can get huge clouds on the SSV.
I also used to have quite a long sessions, 10 + draws almost every time on SSV and da buddha if I started low and worked my way up, but with this Mighty I am lucky to get four or five..

I also get plenty of draw resistance even with a long slow pull using dry herb or concentrates.
I reckon that maybe there might be something wrong with it although im hoping that I just need to get used to it, I remember being gutted when I switched from DBV to SSV at first as well.

I was looking for something to replace my daily SSV with but so far this thing is comparible to one of those fifty quid units like the iolite /puffit/ MFLB.
I will pecevere though, I had high hopes with this one and atm i feel a bit robbed.

I only just tried the Mighty with some top quality Caramello hash and am hugely impressed.

Small amounts went a very long way. Vapour was thick and flavour was strong. I am amazed that this is possible in a portable.

------------
Edit: Downside. Now opening up my Mighty hash is stuck to the gauze on the cooling unit and I cant get it off. Which means it must be changed. Frustrating as I only have one left at the moment. :shit:

Posts like the above just make me think I have been given a dodgy unit, I put up with the SSV needing more herb than the DBV, but this one just seems a step down again, I have tried hash and oil.

Small amounts get me next to nothing in this POS so far and even large amounts get me very little return.

How's your tolerance? Have you checked with S&B whether you were sold a counterfeit unit?

I don't get any clouds whatsoever from my Mighty.

When using sticky moroccan hash, if I want to stop it sticking to the upper gauze, should i be putting a fine mesh screen between the liquid pad and the gauze?

It goes slightly brown after four or five draws, with a full bowl packed in, they are long drawn out affairs like sucking on a cheap pen vape, really not what I expected.

Its not my tolerence, i put a third of what I am putting in the mighty, in the DBV and it batters me.

I think it must not be working correctly.

I don't get any clouds whatsoever from my Mighty.

And you still get effect (?) so, materials and temps., if I may ask? Can you expand on 'no clouds whatsoever'? No pun intended!

I still look for reinforcement from clouds (from flowers; occasionally I use some reclaimed oil, and that seems to produce less visible clouds.) and it's an additional help seeing them to gauge whether or not the ride is over. I usually tend to want to extract as much as possible and get pretty baked, not just a maintenance high.
I wonder if there's another direction to explore beside higher temperature? I'm using water tool pretty often, lately. This seems like a broad question, though I'm just curious about your statement/habits.

I don't breathe out any visible vapour, never have with these units. Top shelf connoisseur grade. 185, 198.
