The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Just checking in after 9 weeks of using the heck out of my Mighty. This product is a good vindication of the machinist\engineer mindset that you should always spend top dollar to get the best quality tool for the job (as opposed to buying cheap tools and then having to replace or fix them later). I normally don't follow that philosophy; instead I tend to buy the cheaper alternatives, whether it's a power drill or an automobile.

But this time was different. I basically said "screw it, I don't care if it costs $400 I want the best vaping experience I can get!" And boy am I glad I did... I could have spent half that amount on a cheaper vape, but would have ended up quickly yearning for something better. With the Mighty you just aren't making any compromises. It has impressed me from the beginning and continues to do so.

After 9 weeks of almost daily use I can list some of the positives about this vape that really stand out:

1) Cool vapor! (this thing is so easy on my throat and lungs - I can't believe what I was putting up with before!)
2) Awesome clouds that just go on and on (the Mighty extracts vapor so effortlessly and so efficiently; I've never gotten so much mileage from my weed)
3) No accessories! (no need for water pipes, bong adapters, special stems, etc - you can add these things but it truly works just fine on its own)
4) Ease of loading (the screw-on loading tool is awesome)
5) Temperature display and fine adjustment (I've gotten used to having a real-time temperature display, and being able to adjust temp to whatever I want. That luxury feature has now become a necessity for me).
6) Easy cleaning (I just disassemble the Mighty and immerse everything in a jar of ISO for 15 minutes, shaking vigorously every few minutes, and all comes out clean. The heating chamber is also easy to clean with those tough foam q-tips and ISO).

If you're considering the Mighty, just do yourself a big favor and buy the thing. Yes it's pricey, but if you go with one of the cheaper vapes, chances are you'll end up wanting something better, and then you'll buy another vape... and another... before you know it spending well over $400 and beyond. Trust me, at least when it comes to vapes, you might as well just buy the best product and be done with it. And besides, at $400 the Mighty is still a better bang for your dollar (IMO) than the MiniVAP at $520 or the Volcano at $750.

Got a few of my vapes stolen (that's what I get for keeping them together and also for letting people try them out) so I jumped on the mighty train hoping for it to cheer me up since not only did I get robbed I dropped two of my rigs, over all its been a pretty terrible week but as my grandmother always said "more was lost in the war " :{

Nice job! Looks good as new. Thanks for the fabrication advice. Really, no ISO or cleaning solution? Amazing!

Also a good idea! But @olysh method was solvent free ..

Yes, really no iso or cleaning solution.

I am waiting Mighty is dirty again to use only a piece of sponge (rough face) to clean bowl; I think it cleans really well too.

Owners of Mighty AND miniVAP,
OK, I'm considering adding a Mighty and have a question.

I've seen one creative souled Mighty owner who put a miniVAP wire basket/flexicone module into their Mighty and used it "open-faced" , without the cooling unit.

Can you use a miniVAP basket/herb/ screen on top of the herb module and drop that into the Mighty chamber AND still attach the cooling unit?

Thanks, inquiring minds want to know ;)

Hmmmm interesting

I'll give this a go tonight and report back

Edit: ok, big basket no, roughly about 1mm too tall

Little basket yes! Fits in nicely and hangs around the rim. Worked pretty good too, not as good as a full bowl but worthy of further testing :)

You can indeed! However, when I tried it, I found I preferred the taste and vapor density just packing the chamber directly.

PS: Anyone try the Arizer baskets that are midway between the large and small MiniVAP baskets in size?

got my mighty in the mail from s&b about two weeks ago
been loving it
originally i bought one off of ebay at a discount only to find out that it was a fake..
it actually kind of works but not 1/10 the power of the real deal
this vape is amazing - stopped smoking except for the occasional test puff - hardly been using my desktop even

That sucks that you got a fake, why weren't you able to return it?

Ugh, I want to buy a set of the fine screens from the S&B website but they charge $8 for shipping on orders under $25, so I would be paying $13.33 for a few screens.

Anyone have an alternative for fine screens that would fit in the cooling unit?

Well, I've had my Mighty less than 8 hours and I've already dropped it on concrete from pocket height. Ffs! It's working fine but how sturdy are these things? Any long term users dropped theirs and had problems?

I had something similar happen, except I dropped it on a tough tile floor. Good news is, the unit still works fine. It heats up the same and performs the same. Bad news is, there is a bit of a rattle to the unit now. Fairly minor issue, but it makes it louder if I throw it in my pocket and walk around. You should be OK though.

I dropped my first one and broke the casing quite bad ,s&b changed it for a new one for £50 so it was all good apart from being without it for a week or so.....

just to note though it was only the case that broke the vaporizer still functioned ok and t went flying out of my pocket also onto concrete....

Wow! That is cool of them to do. You just told them you dropped it and they swapped it at a lesser price? I may have to do the same.

These stories amaze me. I am deathly afraid of dropping mine, and frequently picture it smashing to bits in my mind. I drop stuff all the time....I can't have glass because it'll break, I drink from bottles with lids because if you give me a glass of liquid you might as well just pour it on the floor....lets just say "kid gloves" doesn't do justice to the treatment I give my Mighty. A baby should be handled so gently.

I'm sure I'll drop and break it anyway.:uhoh:

I've had many a clumsy, vape finger drops, might still on beast mode.

Recently gave it an ISO clean, and brushed off the dust, gotta say, its looking like I just got it yesterday!

About to head out to a restaurant with the Mighty and a loaded filling chamber. Plan on vaping after appetizers outside on a bench before the main course.

Lots of seafood and Mighty action.
Why not before and after? Lol. I love to eat sea food, or any food, while blazed off the Mighty.

Oh what sad times are these when passing ruffians can steal vaporizers from their friend's homes. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress in this period of history.

I puts the balls on the table and vape the mighty inside...i just turn it down a bump and don't miss a beat.

It all depends where it lands, mine dropped on the upper corner and broke one of the support pillars that connect the battery to the middle of the heating unit...it was nearly done for...i used a rubber band to hold it together for a while
