I will bet my lunch money that at some point in the development of the LB Magic-Flight has loaded one up, inserted a fully charged battery, and waited to see what would happen. Hell, I'll throw in the loose change under the couch cushions.

I'll bet my whole stash that when they did it, the LB did not catch on fire.

I've used the LB several times and I'm not particularly pleased with its manufacturing flaws or potential to cause injury.

And yes, apparently I'm currently the Ralph Nader of the vape world these days!

Maybe someday your old convalescing cannabis ingesting grandma won't burn off her pussy hairs because of this device and you can thank me.

Yes, and a fork, used improperly can end up stuck in your eye. Let's Nerf the world for dumb asses.

My grandma died many years ago (from Alzheimer's Disease), no need to thank you.

Personally, I don't think a manufacturer should be responsible for user stupidity/error.

It's more dangerous to combust.

I've caused more serious injury to myself with the VG than any other vape, but it was my fault, I'm not going to be a little bitch about it, you live you learn, it's not UL listed or anything.

What a terrible thing for you to say to me about your grandmother. You sound like a real sweetheart. Almost as good as sundady telling me I'm "being a little bitch about it".

You don't need to be stupid to experience accidents. They can happen to any of us. Sorry to hear of the loss of your grandmother. My mother died a year and a half ago. She was experiencing some serious dementia beforehand. When she medicated with cannabis we insured that she did so safely.

Did you just toss your granny your LB in bed and say have at it granny?

I hope you're paying attention Magic Flight!
You must be one of those people suing McDonald's becuase your cholesterol is up and your ass is fat. I once left my car's lights on over night and in the morning my battery was dead, should I have called up Honda and demanded a new battery because I was too dumb to remember to turn them off?

Straw man argument, grow up.

I'll leave it for now. I hope magic flight was paying attention. It could be someone dear to him who gets hurt.

That brings a tear to my eye, seeing how concerned you are about someone near and dear to the manufacturer of the MFLB injuring themselves with it, you must be very distraught with all of the injustice going on in the world and people needlessly being harmed. Why I would say you must be the most sensitive person I've ever encountered.

Here's a question from an idiot...

Why not just buy the batteries that come with the MFLB?

That's a good question. I'll tell you why I don't, but others may have other reasons. :)

The extra batteries for the LB are expensive at Magic Flight and BlissSville. I can get more batteries, for cheaper prices, at Thomas Distrubuting. Newegg also has good prices as well, but I tend to stick with Thomas because I have always had exceptional customer service with them.

Here are a couple of examples:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/s...html?SP_id=&osCsid=a98rm8a91donrsllit8gi3gna7

I also like to be able to chose the MAH of my battery, and whether they are low discharge, or not. I also have this charger, and I LOVE it. It is a bit expensive, and not really necessary. However, I always know the capacity of my batteries at the end of the charge, and I really like that. :D

i have some noob questions, i apologize. do those powerx batteries need to be peeled? and do i need to get the c9000 charger in order to charge them?

Yes, the Powerex 2700 MAH batteries I have need to be peeled, but it is very easy.

No, the C9000 charger is not really necessary.

Talking about that charger, what's the verdict now?

Would you recommend it to a regular MFLB user? Does it really make a difference with the batteries compared to other chargers you used before? Did it meet your expectations?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer guys. I am seriously considering to buy one, but only if it is a great upgrade over the cheap charger we get with the MFLB.

Recommend it is a hard one as it is expensive, if money is no issue then a definite yes......also if you are going to be a longtime LB user than I think it will pay for itself by keeping batteries going as long as possible. It is not needed for the launch box but it does insure optimal flights each time. Yes it really makes a difference, especially after your batteries are a few months old, the c9000 brings em back to life. It met and exceeded my expectations, it has everything you could ever want in a charger. It is a fantastic upgrade over the one that came with the LB

I agree with everything you said, and that it is hard to recommend as it is expensive. However, IMO, it is well worth it.

Do you really need to recondition LSD batteries such as the Eneloops ?

Well, that has to be the most tasteless thing I've heard at FC, and I've been here a loooong time.

Whatever noble intentions zoo had in bringing his perceived shortcomings of the LB to light, those noble intentions have now just flew out the window.

Tell ya what zoo. Why don't ya head on over to the PD and Zap threads. If you play your cards right, you'll find enough food there to keep ya full for awhile.

From everything I have read apparently so. I can see a huge difference in my batts after being reconditioned in the c9000. I was about to throw my original MFLB batts away they were so weak(Eneloops @ 2000mAh I believe). They now hit like new again and last alot longer. The c9000 is definitely the best investment I have made to keep my MFLB running optimally.

You should keep in mind that there are cheaper chargers with the same "make my batteries last longer" functionality that the c9000 has.

my mflb arrived this morning.

have meetings all day but I managed to fill a 2/3 trench.

will hit it after work. undecided to whether start with a powerex or standard battery. im leaning towards the standard and people seem to agree that the box runs hot when new.

Hi,

I just received my mflb today and unlike some of our friends here, I have been more than impressed by it. I was surprised by the size of the box, much thinner than I expected. This was my first time using a vaporizer.

When I first tried to use it, my box looked almost exactly like the picture vapedg13 took, maybe my herbs were a wee bit finer. Initially, I had tried using the acrylic grinder that was included for free; it did not do a very good job. I resorted to using a shot glass and scissors. In between hits, no matter how I tried to shake it, the brown and black bits will go to the bottom. This and likely poor technique resulted in uneven heating between my herbs.

Despite these problems, I did get very high and was very satisfied with my purchase. I had filled only half of the trench it was not completely vaped. The foam ring in the battery hole is also very good idea, much easier not having to pull out the battery myself.

Questions:

1. How do I get the herb finer other than buying a better metal grinder or coffee grinder? I have read something about taking a few hits to dry the herb out and crumble it with your fingers, will that work?
2. There is a rubber ring that separates the wooden part of the box and the mesh, what is it for?
3. Should I wait 3-5 seconds before drawing or should I start immediately? I have heard both.

yes

just to keep the herb from getting stuck in the corners/sides

3. Should I wait 3-5 seconds before drawing or should I start immediately? I have heard both.

Either one works. But for me, when i want a bigger hit, i wait till i start seeing vapor (3-5 seconds) then start drawing
.
