Hope you don't put your food in it! (sorry, couldn't resist)mflores213 said:I am planning on buying the lunch box from vape world. Planning on getting 2 extra batteries and was wondering if the warranty still applied to me if I buy it from vape world.
Ah yes! AKA the spoof! Thank you for the nostalgic college memories.tdavie said:If you're worried about smell, then use a doobie tube.
I've found that the screen cleans quite easily, even with just gentle scraping with a pen knife. It really hasn't been an issue for me.It's difficult, and a nuisance, to constantly have to knock this duff loose from the screen.
You're right, it's no problem to CLEAN the LB screen. I was referring to the necessity of clearing the screen BETWEEN hits. The fine stuff gets stuck (without combusting) to the trench bottom on the first good hit. I don't want to have to CLEAN the LB between hits. That's why I'm going to try a coarser grind, and slower hits. I'll post my results, good or bad.max said:I've found that the screen cleans quite easily, even with just gentle scraping with a pen knife. I'm actually finding a very fine grind to be better myself. I'm double grinding, just for the LB.Mr. Natural said:Although I'm a big fan of the LB, I'm not so sure that FINELY ground herb is a good fit. The LB is basically a CONDUCTION vape, and finely ground material in contact with the screen/heater tends to get stuck to the screen. It's difficult, and a nuisance, to constantly have to knock this duff loose from the screen. I'm going to try a coarser grind to see if that makes it easier to evenly vape a trench. Has anyone already tried this?
Hi Progress,Progress said:Magic Flight,
It states in the Launch Box directions not to use the batteries unless they are fully charged.
Is this because they will not perform as well, or that it will damage the batteries?
For example, is it OK to pull a fully-charged battery out of the charger, use it for a trench, place it back in the charger, and grab the other battery for another trench (and then use the first battery again before it is fully charged...rinse and repeat...)? Possibly until one completely runs out of juice?
Yes, it is OK to do this, as long as you perform these steps in immediate sequence. This is a technique that anyone can use once they have become fairly familiar with the performance characteristics of the Box, etc. The fast cycling method is an alternative for using the Box, but requires that the person be fairly accurate in their timing, else they will either get too little vapor or significantly changed taste.Progress said:Also, on an unrelated note, is it OK to draw hard/shake/draw hard/shake/draw hard/shake... until a trench is basically done without removing the battery until just before one stops drawing (in effect, finishing a whole trench in one draw hard/shake/draw hard/shake/draw hard/shake...)?
Hmm . . . I don't feel paranoid about it at all--I just know that using my LB in my garage, the smell is noticeable for a good 20-30 minutes, so I definitely wouldn't want to pull that bad boy out in say, a movie theater like some other posters have stated.Qbit said:What you can do to prepare your weed for public MFLB consumption (when you're as paranoid as you are) is to pull out that Vapezilla of yours and run your weed through it on a really low setting - below what you would set it for vaping. The most odor-producing oils are the first to go, and as long as you don't get it too hot, you will have weed that will get you high without smelling much like anything except maybe dusty old socks.buck824 said:I have a question for those of you who are using this in public, or not getting any smell from it. I agree that there is less of an odor, but when I use it, there is a definite weed smell, though it doesn't linger a long time. The way I've been using it, there is no way I could do it in public.
So, are you inhaling faster? I usually inhale slowly, and the weed doesn't burn, but I get a nice big vapor cloud. I'm just wondering if inhaling faster is what allows you to vape in public, and not have the smell become a problem.
Love this vape---have put my Vapezilla in semi-retirement.
Part of the reason is that, used as directed, the Box only produces vapor when you need it -- there is never any vapor/odor directly vented to the room. Most vaporizers, once started, will also stay going until the load is completely spent (constant heating). Since the user can only take in vapor intermittently with the breath, that means that with most vaporizers there will always be occasions where the heated materials will be venting to the room -- hence the smell. With the Box, the heating is itself intermittent and matches consumption. The user consumes and adsorbs the smell along with the medicine -- hence no aroma is ever directly vented to the room.stickstones said:I don't know why this thing puts out less smell than other units. Makes no sense to me, but that seems to be my unquantifyable experience.
The charger that ships with the Box kit can charge one battery at a time. It is also a microprocessor controlled smart charger that will recondition the batteries so as to extend their overall life.caseball2051 said:Can i charge 1 battery with the sanyo charger that comes with the box?
I thought i read that it only worked in pairs...
Somewhere between $50 and 80. We would prefer it to be lower, but the components required do not give us much negotiating room.synaesthetique said:...an approximate price for the (power adapter) add-on?
Unfortunately not -- the standard USB port simply does not deliver enough power to run the Box directly. However, there are USB chargers for the provided batteries. We used to sell them ourselves but discontinued stocking them due to lack of demand.synaesthetique said:is there any possibility for a USB based power adaptor?
