If you did find one in a head shop it won't be for $100! It will be marked up for sure! Thats the way she goes! You can buy an Iolite for $200 online but in my local head shop $250 + taxes! Just buy from Blissville. Easy as pie.

I just got mine and I love it. batteries came fully charged and I had a nice vapor hit the first time. All you have to do is follow the simple instruction, the most important keep box level, and I got a nice buzz.:)

The PowerEx (Maha) 2700 mAH batteries also work very well. And Maha has a good reputation for battery technology and quality, like Sanyo.

For chargers, also consider the Maha/PowerEx MH-C401FS (see http://www.mahaenergy.com/store/item.asp?idproduct=178). It is microchip controlled, and claims to provide advantages over other chargers, including more complete charging of batteries. And it is absolutely simple, just put the batteries in, and each is individually optimally charged -- no switches, break-in regimens or anything to think about.

Can i charge 1 battery with the sanyo charger that comes with the box?

I thought i read that it only worked in pairs...

Well, got mine last week 2 days after ordering it. It's been working pretty good so far. I say "pretty good" because the herb i'm loading into it isn't really ideal. It's very moist and is hard to grind up fine, so it's a bit tricky to get going in this little box. I knew when i got this batch last week and had to vape at 2oclock instead of 12 oclock on my DBV that it would be a challenge for this.

I spent the first night of ownership at walmart, a wedding and 2 bars (and vaped at all locations, had to evacuate the bathroom at walmart when someone in an adjacent stall started taking a really stinky poo - this box may be magic, but it couldnt filter out THAT). I pretty much had to vape and get a couple thin hits and then regrind the stuff and load it again to get anything decent. I was getting annoyed with it by the time i got to teh bar, but when i woke up the next day and regrinded the same bowl and loaded up freshly, fully charged batteries, i got some solid hits.

However, i was still able to get a couple more hits when i re-ran the bowls through my DBV, so it's still not gettin it all. I can tell it isnt heating as evenly as the DBV because there are some dark pieces and some green pieces, whereas in the DBV its pretty much evenly colored.

As i said tho, this stuff is really moist, wasn't harvested right obviously, and because of that it's also hard to grind. All 3 of my grinders cant get it to the powdery substance i want it to be, it just pulls it apart a bit. I dont think properly dried herb will be an issue to vape in this thing tho, so i remain optimistic. But even the performance with this stuff is pretty acceptable, vaping some green while i'm out and about and then revaping the same stuff in my DBV later on at home is pretty nice. That way i can get the less-pleasant hits through my water and ice and much longer delivery system lol.

I gotta say though, i don't know how anyone hits this thing without using the stem. I found it to be pretty harsh that way, if i hit it slow enough to get a worthwhile hit. I think some sort of portable water filtration would be a nice product to have for an add-on. i've thought about taking a couple pieces of tube, connecting one to the stem and feeding it through a hole in a bottlecap, with it hanging down far enough that it will be below waterlevel in most bottles and then attach another hose to the cap in another hole to suck on. That way, all someone would have to do have some sort of pop/water bottle to replace the cap with this, and instant vapebong hits w/o any glass or breakable parts really. the tubes/cap could be easily coiled up and stored in a small container of some sort, like a snuff/mint tin.

and i can't wait for the power adapter! i'm really happy that magic flight is giving its customers what they want :D it will be great knowing that batteries are optional instead of mandatory. I love that there's an LED that helps you not only tell battery strength but also to see the vapor forming. I also really like the tin that everything comes in, it's nice to see that they seem to be constantly improving not only the product itself, but the accessories also. coming with two long stems is great for me, since i dont find them a bother to bring along since they're the length of the box itself so i just tuck them under the rubber band along teh side of the box for carrying in my pocket.

Overall i'm really happy with this vape (the fact that i had a $50 amazon giftcard which i was able to use to buy this through vapeworld.com with made it an even sweeter deal). i don't think it could get any stealthier w/o sacrificing performance, and i wouldnt want a portable vape thats any bigger or more complex/breakable than this simple yet genius little invention. I look forward to trying some properly prepared herb through this, and i'm sure i'll be posting back later on. big thanks to MF and everyone who influenced me into this purchase :peace:

I am psyched (and slightly confused), O fellow vapers.

On the Blisssville site the price for the LB is $99, short of a buck.

Ppl are talking about $80-$88, where can we buy one at this price.

One (more) toke, over the line, please.

*TQ, Lo. CC for VapeWorld FC-2010!

I think for the first few days of owning the LB, the hits seemed kind of harsh but either my body got used to it, or I got the technique down because it is very comfortable for me now. It does get a little warm, however you can always inhale faster to cool it. I used to vape with a stem but I read this quote from Magic-Flight and wonder why I never tried it without the stem. It is much better. No more hot spots and MUCH better taste. I strongly recommend you guys to try it without the stem, the better taste alone is awesome (to me).

magicflight said:
We recommend using the Box native -- without any stem at all. This has the dual advantage of not confining and directing the vapor stream to any one spot (avoids the issue mentioned above) and allows for greater sensitivity to taste.

my friends and I included, had about 5 separate orders to the GTA (east Canada)...some of the orders had 2 boxes...and only once was it taxed...and that was on the very first order of just 1 box...and the tax was not that much...if i had to guess...$10...but after that...no taxes on any order..so its hit n miss (mostly misses in my cases)..and worst case..its $10...shipping is quite fast too to Canada...

even if you were to order it from Canada (assuming they had a distributer in the future), there is a good chance you'd be taxed anyways...gst/pst...so at least ordering from the states you have a good chance you won't have to pay taxes....so really you may be better off ordering from the states...$10 for a small chance (based on my exp) isn't bad at all for all you Canadians who are hesistant

I agree, first few days (probably 6-7 trenches, always with a fresh battery) the LB seemed a bit harsh, i.e. always a bit of a cough, but it's tamed now...either by way of tolerance, or of the LB "break-in". I think I recalled seeing in this thread about new LBs being a little on the warm side, and they'd naturally calm down a bit.

I was thinking though, since THC is a natural and powerful expectorant, a few coughs out of a vape (not combusting) wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing no? Indicative of higher THC/tar ratio? Not sure.

Still loving on the LB though! :D

I think as a person "gets to know" the box, the better it works for them!:ko:
I'm sure there's a bit of a... not really a learning curve, since i already understand how to get hits off this as best as the herb in it will allow for, but maybe more like a familiarization that needs to develop. I'm looking forward to getting to teh point where i feel as comfortable using it as my DBV. I don't know that i'll ever be able to get as thick and delicious of hits through this as buddha, but that's understandable really when you compare the units and what they were designed for. it seems to me this uses conduction and a bit of convection (someone, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) whereas DBV is largely convection vaporization, which i think will always been smoother and more even than conduction, especially if whats loaded isn't grinded down finely.

Anyways, I've been vaping wandhash for the past couple days tho, so i've been using DBV a lot. I suck in a layer of this moist herb and then coat it with a layer of wand hash and wheeeeew  what fun :brow: So the LB has been kinda on a bit of a break, but i do use it to kick me back up a notch while in the office, and for that it works very well.

And as for using it without a stem... I can understand how it being directed down a thing tube would direct the heat to a smaller area, but it hasnt seemed to heat any part of my mouth uncomfortably like w/o it did, if i wasnt angled just right on the box.

And my Energizer rechargable 2450mA ( i think.. i know it was well above 2000) batteries only get the LED to light faintly. Thats with labels fully (and really easily) pealed off and fully charged. I tried charging them in ths Sanyo charger that comes with the LB just to see if that got them enough juice, but they were still dim.

So what type of batteries are the ones that this comes with? they seem pretty good. i've been getting about 1.5-2 bowls out of each on a full charge.

I have a question for those of you who are using this in public, or not getting any smell from it. I agree that there is less of an odor, but when I use it, there is a definite weed smell, though it doesn't linger a long time. The way I've been using it, there is no way I could do it in public.

So, are you inhaling faster? I usually inhale slowly, and the weed doesn't burn, but I get a nice big vapor cloud. I'm just wondering if inhaling faster is what allows you to vape in public, and not have the smell become a problem.

Love this vape---have put my Vapezilla in semi-retirement.

I've used a couple different kinds of Energizer's with widely varying results. The ones where the labels peeled off easily, sucked, I would barely get any vapor, and maybe 2-3 small hits. It took a lot of time and money to figure out which ones to buy. The ones that kick ass, I got from Wal-Mart. The way to identify them is, at the top right it says NEW and right under that says NOUVEAU. On the left side of the pack it says 4X in pink and on the right side it has a pink number 150 on it... now these rock! The labels have an adhesive which makes it a little of a bitch to peel, but well worth it. I can get around 15-20 good hits off of each battery.

What allows me to use it in public is how quickly the smell is dispersed, in any decent sized space the smell is hardly noticeable . While walking around it works great because no one can tell where the smell is coming from. Also, it helps to hold the hit in for as long as possible so no smelly vapor goes back out into the world. This is hard to do with out looking like a complete crazy though... I take long slow hits regardless of where im using it.

Just received my LB (haven't tried it yet). There is a note in the plastic battery storage case which warns against allowing the batteries to touch one another or other metal items to avoid a unwanted discharge (and I assume potentially a fire risk. My question is that the batteries seem to touch one another while housed in the case. I assume this is a not a problem, or the case would not have been designed as such. However, since they are in fact touching, I am not sure why it isn't a problem. So, is it ok for the batteries to be stored touching one another? Also, is it ok to leave the batteries in the supplied charger.

the parts of the batteries that you don't want to be making contact with eachother or other metal items are the ends of the batteries., having them touching sides together is nothing to worry about, just guard the tips :)

and as far as using this in public, i usually try to find a bathroom, as there's usually proper ventilation there, and no one is really trying to identify smells in there usually lol. I think most of it is just paranoia on your part, you probably only notice the smell because its immediately around you and you're trying to smell it. I usually try to blow my hits straight up, or let them slowly come out and rise up, or if you have a drink with a straw you can blow it in there, which is my favorite (great for movie theaters, as long as you dont blow too hard.

Me and my friends have done testing while in different clean, smokeffree public areas. Basically, as long as you dont blow it on/towards someone, they usually can't smell it. If you're in like, a really confined space with low ceilings, it might linger for a min or so, but not badly.

What you can do to prepare your weed for public MFLB consumption (when you're as paranoid as you are) is to pull out that Vapezilla of yours and run your weed through it on a really low setting - below what you would set it for vaping. The most odor-producing oils are the first to go, and as long as you don't get it too hot, you will have weed that will get you high without smelling much like anything except maybe dusty old socks.

Perhaps you could also diminish the smell by preheating everything in an oven on a low setting.

I am planning on buying the lunch box from vape world. Planning on getting 2 extra batteries and was wondering if the warranty still applied to me if I buy it from vape world.

It also says the it comes with 2 acrylic stems....

is this true? aint that plastic?

nvm

"" What is this thing made out of? Is it safe?
The following materials are used in the construction of the Box: Select birch hardwood, Stainless steel screen (the same material used in high-end cookware), copper plated steel rods, Acrylic (Plexi-glass) cover, and a stainless steel spring clip (for the cover). There is no solder (no lead) used in the screen bonding. The added/optional draw pipe accessories (not necessary to use the Box) are also made of Acrylic.

There are no hazardous materials used anywhere in the Box, so yes, the Box is safe. None of these components or materials ever get hot enough to be of any concern. ""

warranty should apply to all LB, no matter what reseller you get it through. And yes, the stems are acrylic. it doesnt really get hot enough to worry about tho, and it's optional to use. I've been thinking about trying to find a glass replacement, just so i could clean it out w/ iso and save the hash, put portability ranks most important, and glass, especially glass as small as the stem is, would be too fragile.

Yes Vape World is an authorized dealer and your warranty will be honored.

Yes acrylic is a type of plastic. The 'stems' are pegs that slide into the box to hit with, they don't get heated. You can also use the box 'native' without any stems at all.

Good luck! My LB is right next to me ;)
