Hi guys just wanted to let you know I used the LB for the first time last night.

I had a good night sleep last night the box is the bomb. I got 3 hits off it before the battery took a dirtnap.

Hi from Amsterdam! :brow::ko::brow: Even here, where it's easy to partake anywhere you want, I miss my Box. Really. I was seriously considering bringing it, but I won't fly with anything that has residue, and I didn't want to just leave it here...

duh: I'll try to upload a picture of the tubular containers I use to hold pre-ground material in my Box "kit". They really work perfectly; they hold about six loads worth, and you just pop the top off and tap the end of the tube against the wood edge of the Box and it fills perfectly. Comes in six translucent colors. :D Unfortunately, I've only seen the containers here in Amsterdam (I just bought another dozen as they are plastic and start to crack after a month or so of use).

Also, I've been meaning to comment on something you (duh) said eons ago, maybe even back in the beta thread, that I find myself doing all the time now. When I'm finish up a load, and tap the gak out, and brush out the remaining bits, and it's also time to change the battery for the next load, but the battery isn't completely dead, I swivel the top open and push the almost used up battery back in, and it cleans the screen for me!!! This was a really great suggestion and I've been meaning to thank you for it. (If it was someone else that suggested this, very sorry for "mis-remembering" who it was).

Hey guys,

I just ordered my LB a few hours ago. Does anybody have an estimate on how long it will take to get from their shop (In California) to the chicagoland area??

And also,

KingCrimson said....Stay away from the Duracell batts because I found they are kind small and particularly annoying to get in there just right.
Wouldnt one little pice of electrical tape wrapped around the battery fix this problem? Or am i stupid and electrical tape wont work bc of the thickness or bc the tape will burn?

One last question....Do the batteries arrive in the package charged?

And just so you guys know, once i get mine, there will be tons of pics and videos for you guys to enjoy:D

Why not have a "deluxe" edition with a 15-minute charger? I'm thinking of buying one, but the 8 hr charger seems a waste, and likely to be replaced ASAP.

Hi,

Believe me, we wanted to. To include one, we would need to buy at quantity. Energizer corp would not sell to us unless our retail volume was "sufficiently large". We are continuing to work on this.

We bundle the 8 hour charger for those people who do not have any charger at all (most people) so that they have at least _something_ that they can get started with right away. We figure it is better to have something than nothing, while openly acknowledging that other better options are available.

To Fudpucker -- your replacement unit should be in the mail today.

To JeffK1893: wrapping tape on the battery will also prevent electrical contact needed for the device to work. We have been finding that not all batteries are created equal -- some, made by less reputable foreign manufacturers even explicitly misstate their storage capacity. We have a lot of batteries that claim to be 2500 mHa capacity, but consistently test out as having only 800 mHa capacity (and work very poorly besides). The best advice is to get real batteries -- good ones from a known supplier. Battery makers who have invested heavily in disposable cells probably do not really want rechargeable to become popular.

In regards to if the batteries we ship come charged or not, please do not count on them being charged on arrival. The BlissSville distributor has a habit of charging the batteries on behalf of the customer just before shipping. However, this is a voluntary action on their part and for shipments that take a long time to arrive (held in customs, etc), this is not much help (batteries do not remain charged if left sitting for more than 2 weeks). Other distributors and retailers are very unlikely to take similar action, meaning that you must charge the batteries yourself before use in most cases.

First time posting in this thread, been very interested in this product since I got raided last week and lost the majority of my vapes/got in a bunch of trouble.

As you can see, my room was full of crap and 8 police officers had a field day.

2m3miw4.jpg

I've decided to not shit where I sleep anymore, all illegal materials, GONE. These need to be replaced with a tiny vape that can be hid at an alternative location.

I've read this thread a bunch of times and like what I see.

The PD was my main vape and my benchmark, I would vape 2 nicely packed PD bowls in a session. Can someone that has used both (I know there's plenty) tell me how such usage would work in the LB?

I'm looking for an answer like "The equivalent high to 2 PD bowls in a LB... would be ~"x" PD bowls worth of herb, this would fill "x" trenches, require "x" batteries, provide "x" amount of hits"

Thanks very much in advance.

Chubba- I don't know about others but for me I can get about as high from 1 pd stem to 1 LB trench. But the LB trench uses a lot more weed. I don't know the exact amount but if I had to guess the trench could hold up to 5 PD stems (maybe more I'm dumb and can't judge that kind of shit). You can also underpack the trench and still get great results.

Coming from someone that is on a budget and loves weed I only use the PD when at home. It's easier, faster, gets me higher, more efficient, more fun, etc. But for portability the LB is great. I haven't really had the chance to use it to it's full potential but i really do like it. It's hard to compare these 2 vapes.

I don't think you will be disappointed if you get the LB. It's a great vape and I would never consider anything else for portable use. My VG is retired.

Its not about efficiency as its about portability. I use the same in the LB as I use my Da Buddha.

Oh noes, 1 stem to 1 trench and the trench holds 5x the amount of herb :o

I guess it's time to cut back a bit on my usage :) perhaps I can't expect to vape everyday on ~1.5g a week.

I'm pretty set on this box, even if it means I cut down from 7 days to 2 - 3 days and go for a stroll/vape larger quantities.

Can't put a price on piece of mind :brow:

Its not about efficiency as its about portability.
Yeah I know, my situation is a pickle though, can't afford the luxury of having a desktop vape atm. Not trying to compare them at all, it was just a reference.

Just trying to figure out how many times a week I can get "high" (high being 2 PD bowls) off "x" amount of herb (being 1.5g in my case) in a LB.

If the answer was 3-4+ that's good enough for me.

If you are just gonna be vaping at home I'd say just stay with the PD. If you plan on vaping outside of your home/car then get the LB. They both are great vapes and you will enjoy both. But if you are like me your LB might just be sitting there not being used. I don't regret buying the LB even though it rarely gets used.

Can't have anything, at anytime at my home now.

The LB will be hidden at another location.

As much as I love my PD, I don't have anywhere to store it/use it and can't risk sitting in my home with it plugged in for multiple hours :|

God damn bogus warrants kicking my ass.

I guess I'll have to be happy with whatever the portables can deliver, I always got nicely baked off my VG, I hate butane though (counts out IO too), so LB it is.

Beggars can't be choosers

after some more daily usage...I think this is a device that can develop a cult following.....i've been vaping in front of people and then afterwards I'd ask them if they smelled anything...people would be like 3 ft way (indoors most of the time).....and the only smell they picked up on was the burnt popcorn when i was just trying to get the last vape out near the end.....but before that they couldn't detect anything....what i like most is the freedom of this thing....it really is plug n play easy...reason why I did not want to get the vapor genie...

and as far as attachment goes...i actually like all of them and use all of them depending on what i'm doing and the mood i'm in...my fav for sharing is the whip....my fav for around the house outside (by the pool) is the small stem....my fav indoor by myself is the the med. sized bubble one...and i use the long stem when it is inside the mcdonalds cup...

Have you tried no attachment at all? I used to prefer the long bent stem that comes with the Launch Tube, but since I tried no tube, I haven't gone back. I still use the short tube when I share with friends.

After several days of anticipation, my Launch Box arrived earlier today and I am very impressed with it. I love the small, discrete, natural looking design and I also like the nice words about love on the back. It's totally silent and leaves no odor behind, which, for a first-time vape owner, is very nice. I even love the little pouch is comes with, making it much easier to carry all the LB gear together!

Awesome!!!! I am so jealous! Thanks for thinking of us in Amsterdam! :D

Yes, I did suggest emptying batteries as a way to help clean the LB. Supposedly, many of these modern rechargeables don't have 'memory effects' - that is charging a half empty battery. However, I like to KNOW that a battery is empty anyway.

Haywood, please keep us posted w/the canisters. I'm looking too. Right now, I'm using a plastic toolbox I bought at the 99 cent store - a bit big but I could sit on it and the LB would be fine. :p

Glad to hear the newbies are coming along! Please tell us your new experiences! Any other rigs like kingcrimson's?

did i miss any warnings not to clean LB parts with ISO or rubbing alcohol? I left my short stem in iso for about 10hrs while at work, and i just threw it out after. The stem itself warped and no longer fits my LB. The material become cloudy and actually shrank down. Almost as if it were melted... Did i miss a warning not to do this? Just wondering.

Magic Flight.... What is the suggested cleaning method? i love my short stem guess i have to buy another.... anything else, is just uncivilized.

Hi,

You did not "miss" a directive not to soak the draw tubes in ISO -- we should have put this in the directions -- it is an oversight on our part -- we will correct in future printings. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Also, even if it *had* been in the directions, your situation would still come under the functional warranty -- please send me an email (privately) with your postal address and we will send you a new Peg tube (at no additional cost to you).

For future reference, it is ok to use ISO to clean the draw tube accessory, as long as you do not leave it in the ISO for too long (minutes are ok; hours not are good). I would recommend using a regular pipe cleaner soaked in ISO to clean the Peg, and then allow it to dry.

I've read a lot about the LB recently and am intrigued. I currently own a Vapor Warez for home use and use a VG as a portable. The VG is a great little device, but as stated it has it's share of problems. I find myself often in situations where I'm with one or two other non-vapers who I have to show how to use the Genie. It get' the job down, but it is a hassle. Having to use and refill lighters constantly is also annoying.

Could the LB act as a vape for two to three people? Especially un-initiated? I've read about its lack of odor and sound, but how covert is it in a pocket? I generally vape probably 1-2 small VG bowls myself/1 small VW bowl and 3 VG bowls in a gorup/2 VW bowls. Is two trenches similar?

One of my problems with the VG is that it noticeably looks like a pipe in my pocket, so it makes carrying it around annoying. Now, I wouldn't hit it in public, but would it be low-key in my pocket?
