I don't know if I'd agree with this sentiment. I don't think what is going on at GC can be drawn in parallel to what goes on here, with any vaporizer. Here, people discuss vapes on their merits. If you say something as fact, you'd better be able to back it up if someone questions it. And you get a wide cross-section of opinions on all sorts of different vapes.
At Grasscity, and some parts of reddit, people see their choice of vaporizer as an extension of their own personalities. If you do not unequivocally agree with their choice, you are insulting a part of their very essence and they get very defensive, angry and usually end up saying anything to make it seem like they are right and you are wrong. For these communities, it's usually the MFLB. Thank goodness this does not happen much here, as in my opinion it embarrasses all vaporists when it happens, making us look like pedantic, territorial children. I enjoy reading this thread because it is one of the few places to get information about the box without letting fanboyism get in the way of the fact.
When I posted that post, it was in reply to a thread that was entitled "Why do some people dislike the MFLB". These aren't so much all my own reasons for disliking the box as they are what I think may be the reasons other people don't like the box. For me, it's just the high - I just don't like the tired high I get off of it. It's not so much about being able to master the box - I have (made a video a while back when someone tried to claim I just didn't like it because I couldn't use it) and still don't like it, but I appreciate it on it's own pro's and cons rather than affiliation with another product.
I can see where you're coming from. I think a lot of people do hate on the MFLB as a counter-reaction to separate themselves from what they deem as MFLB "rabble" - its kind of a shame. Personally I get the most mileage out of MFLB but I've definitely learned to handle it pretty efficiently. I've actually owned a Solo and Pax before but sold both to get another MFLB. I just like how it works for me and like the company that stands behind their product 100%. The only other vape I own now is the E-Nano. With all that said.. when a random person new to vaping asks me what my opinion for a good overall portable, I'd recommend the Solo over the MFLB because for most people its far easier to use (though I'd recommend an E-Nano over Solo by far if one doesn't care about cordless capabilities). MFLB requires a little more time to get "the feel" down for it even though its easy to operate - it can be difficult for some to get better mileage out of it.
