Just an FYI, I would recommend keeping an eye on ebay for Powerex 2700s. I was searching to grab another four pack as the cheapest I found was $12.50 shipped. Ended up finding an open-box set of 4 for $6 shipped from PCmall. Going to try and pick up additionals if they have them.

I've had the beta Magic-Flight concentrate trays for a while but little access to full melt concentrates, so I haven't used it a lot. This morning I noticed a little resin accumulation building up at the exit hole and I got an inspiration. A while back somebody mentioned heating up the LB and liquefying the resin that accumulates under the screen so you could drain it out, so I thought I'd try this:

That's one of the Magic-Flight super-batteries used for illustration, since I have a PA which is better suited to this. Basically, all I did was hold the LB like this with tray in position for about five minutes. I would have taken a picture of what I got this way but it didn't work out as nicely as I'd have liked. My LB has never been cleaned under the screen but it has been used a lot, so a lot of reclaim drained out and got all over the screen and my LB. I stopped it before it got too bad but no way was I about to post pics of that mess. Oh, everything gets pretty hot too. I didn't get burned or anything but it does get uncomfortable to hold.

This method works but needs some refining. I am hitting the resin right now and it tastes okay but not great, since it's reclaim. It certainly does get the job done, however. Unfortunately, it is not really full melt either, so there's a bit of residue accumulating on my tray screen. :(

Mail Just brought me 4 more batteries and a new brush , the brush is nice with a little wider handle for my clumsy old fingers , Now I have to go out back sit under the oak and dirty up my
trench so I can test it out . :nod:

I stood it at the edge of my coffee table with the 1 ft whip hanging down , after using while it's hot .
I've found that the resin oozes down into the stem/whip over night .
Now , I've never thought of helping it ooze out faster by keeping the battery/PA in it tho .
Yes the reclaim isn't all that tasty but it def. has a kick to it . I like to drip a drop of reclaim
onto a fresh mound of herbs and hit it thru my Solo ....oops wrong thread .

But now , I'm collecting some Budda/wax resin in my LB also . ( nice save )
Looking forward to my next reclaim drip .

Also , have you noticed the waxy buildup on the lid when doing budda ?
What's the best way to reclaim that part ?
That must still hold more THC than the resin on the bottom of the trench .

Anyone ?

Yer welcome, BM, good luck with it.

FWIW I like the concentrate tray, but find you need to feed it good stuff and not to much or it's a big mess. Load it small and it's a lot faster (not much heat there), tastes better and is more mild mannered. I'm used to opening up the box all the time anyway......

Ah, it was you. Thanks for the inspiration. It does have a kick to it. I've never had any budda to try so I can't comment about that.

No and no? I'm loading like .050 at time (less than a BB), maybe even less. I also found it took a lot of heat, even if the metal part was already hot from before (it may cool fast?). I found lots of heat, no air and watching the pot the best way. Once the vapor was happening and filling the trench I'd very gently hit it (steady usually). Then at the end, I'd drop power and clear the box with a fairly brisk end of hit that cools it off.

A PA is a huge plus. Doing it on batteries is not easy, I'm not sure you could really learn it unless you had a pile of the new ones to keep it hot long enough to get to know it?

I haven't had much trouble with reflexively shaking it, but I can see how that could happen. However, it's easy to spill and remember that part of the time the screen of your trench is hotter than it's ever been.....

It is a whole different machine with this simple little gadget I think.

I would say the size of sand or table salt grains , about 3 or 4 is what I put .
If you put 1 big piece/dab , it will take more heat/battery to heat and melt it .
That is why I recommend smaller pieces .
I still do the micro hit technique and collect a big lungful before exhaling .

Poonman has it, spread it out since you're using conduction. And he's about right, you want a raw rice grain (to introduce ethnic food.....) in pieces. You don't want to put in much more than you're going to vape off in a few hits.

Locate the pad under the screen. Keep your goods over the pad, nothing outside, and you'll do better. Think 'how small is too small' when loading and you'll do better IMO.

This is not a Cera here......

That is the only Magic Flight product I have never purchased. I've bought everything else, lol

I'm also interested to hear what people think. :)

I have duplicated each of the blends they make (I have not bought theirs).
I spent a period of almost two years vaporizing "other herbs" as my first "vape" of the day.
I gave each herb 2-3 days by itself to recognize the effects.

At the end of the two years, I made blends, following ingredients of various companies proprietary blends.
When Magic Flight introduced theirs, I also mixed their choices of blend.
They are pleasant tasting, and some do not make much vapor, while others do.
I did notice that anything that had spearmint leaves made me want to relieve my bladder!
The effects are so very subtle... eucalyptus does clear sinuses.
The blends were nice, but when I finished my study, I did not continue vaporizing herbs.....
..they just were not MMJ!

i missed it before when it was mentioned to hold it like that and use the PA.. that's awesome.. just when i thought there was nothing else to know about the MFLB. i have always wondered how to deal w/ that too.. now theres nothing else to know;)
