The MFLB has been treating me wonderfully when well set up, although I've found the battery-management to be a real downside for me. It requires a good brand of battery and a fresh charge - either from careful preparation (dedicating many batteries to it and charging every day), or from additional equipment such as a fast charger.
I'd say with a fast charger it is ready for heavy use, but even then, there's definitely a learning curve with friends. The MFLB's learning curve seems to be about "halfway through the second session". I never thought of "inhale slow and warm, remove and shake" as being too advanced, but it seems like each person just has to see for themselves - watch it brown a little, and then get caught off guard by a smile.
My favorite "additional" equipment though, is the power adapter. Rather than a fast charger at $60, I'd get it. The car use is incomparable, and even indoors it isn't terribly inconvenient. And ... it's super super reliable. Draw speed no longer is a learning curve issue, it's just down to taste and preference. SUPER SUPER controllable, with a spot on the knob for anyone. When first trying it, the only accident was getting too excited and overloading the trench. With a slow inhale (open your nose a little so you could breathe through it, but instead go as slow as possible through your mouth) I had milky thick smoke, and STILL only a lightly after smell. It kept going and going, with plenty more waiting for another go.
Stock was out on the car portion of the PA, however it's an inexpensive adapter ($10) since it just needs to take 12V from the car with no conversion.
PS: The button on the simulated battery for my PA is ... partly or completely non-functional. (It doesn't toggle the power, however when I don't push the button sometimes the power indicator in the MFLB draw appears weaker and no vapor is produced). Is this something that is remotely user serviceable? I know the MFLB guys will set it straight if not.
This was posted earlier in the thread and should help you fix the problem with the PA

We recommend that one quick fix if you hare having problems with either not enough heat or not turning on is to use a small paperclip bent to fit the two small holes on that end, and tightening the ring (please don't make the ring too tight)...
Could you be more specific or post a picture? I'm not sure what you mean by the "ring" on the "switch end". Is that the battery-like thing, the adapter, or the cylinder converter? I'm guessing switch means its on the converter but I don't see any holes.
Hi,
In the passage above, I was referring to one end of the 'battery-like thing' -- the part that you plug into the Box itself instead of inserting a battery. Once you have plugged the PA into a Box, the switch end sticks out and has a little black button in the center (ie, the button that when pressed usually turns the PA on). That switch button is surrounded by a silver ring nut with two tiny holes on either side of the button. Sometimes that ring loosens and the PA stops working -- a problem we are retooling to fix in the planned production build. This is exactly this sort of thing we do a beta build to find out -- to identify any remaining issues in testing before a general product release.
If you think that you want to tighten the ring, find a smaller paperclip and open/bend it until the two ends of the paperclip wire are aligned and parallel to one another at about the same distance apart as the two holes mentioned above. With the PA in the Box (makes it easier to hold), you can insert the two paperclip ends into the holes. Holding or pinching the paperclip as close to the PA as possible, try turning it to the right (clockwise). If the ring is loose, it will tighten easily. Note, if you make it too tight, you will be compressing the switch itself and it will not turn off correctly.
