Just got PA in the Mail today! Can honestly say that this changes the MFLB forever. I never knew the box could hit like this

Okay, if you may have read my post from a few days ago, I have had a lot of trouble pushing the battery to make contact because of my small, weak hand. So yesterday I took out the rubber push ring and it is a lot easier now to make contact, with less pressure and I can keep the battery in contact longer. I read the Vaperpedia today and it says I need to take the battery out each time after I finish the draw. Now does that mean completely out of the Launch Box or just no longer in contact with the metal contact thingy (okay, I forget the correct term...semi-senior moment :) ) but still inside the Launch Box?
Thanks!

it is ok to leave in . pull the battery out just a tad so there is no contact with the metal wire inside mflb.

Hey guys, check what I found in a local battery store when I wanted to get new eneloops...

Yeah, they've been around for a bit, but as far as I know, they weren't available in the US yet. Did you find them here?

Testing on these have found that while they have a lot more capacity than standard Eneloops, the amount of cycles that they can deal with over the life of the battery has been greatly reduced.

Here's 5 page thread on them started about 4 months ago: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=293553

And here's a comparative performance thread comparing the performance of all the top AAA batts on the market including the new Eneloops mentioned here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?298090-The-AA-NiMH-Performance-Test-Thread
It's a bit geeky, but for those into this kind of thing, it's a good read.

No, Europe. I tried the first pair immediately, they hit pretty good, while topping off the other two. I'll try the other two when the charging finishes (it seems to take some time, though they were manufactured last August).

Thanks for the extra info. I think the rapid charge-discharge cycles strain any battery. Although the packaging does reinforce that they're good for 500 cycles (as opposed to 1500 for normal eneloops).

I'll try to report back in a few days with a MFLB-centric point of view about these batts.

I'd also like to add that the packaging says that "Suitable for temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius!" For you ski enthusiasts. :)

Awesome. I have to get my hands on some.

george,
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but my inside screen has become damaged/separated at one end (i.e. unusable) and I need a replacement.

I've sent an e-mail out to CustomerService@blisssville.com late last night, but haven't heard back yet. Should I just wait out until they respond...or is there a better way to get a replacement?

Thanks in advance, I was having trouble using the "search" bar at the top to find the relevant information.

That's the correct email. In my past experience with them they replied within 24 hours from that email, so I'm sure they'll be in contact with you soon.

What do you guys think?

I can vouch (as can many others on this board) for the Powerex 2700's. I haven't tried the Sanyo bats, but you won't go wrong with the Powerex.

With a sanyo 4 batt charger, Eneloop 2000mah work the same as the Powerex 2700mah for me anyway.

Wolface,
Seriously thinking about ordering this little gem as our first vape. Interested in the PA too!

It might go backpacking with us ... with a backup if/when the batts die.

So I emailed magicvape@gmail on 12/26 and CustomerService@blissville on 1/18 with the serial number, my issue, and pictures of the screen torn but still still havent gotten a reply. I had the issue once before and got a reply the night I sent the email and shortly received a replacement. So the customer service was excellent for me before but whats the deal this time?

Are you fucking with your screen too much? You gotta be gentle with that screen, you shouldn't even be reaching in there with your fingers.
Bet you they'll get back to you soon/

It has been only 4 months since I got my MFLB but my batteries seem to be losing a lot of juice. Would the best option be to just go for the MAHA with some new batteries and refresh and all that jazz?

I have been thinking about the PA, and I do normally use my PA indoors and stuff, but I just love the battery concept. haha

I was using my magic flight box as normal yesterday, and suddenly inside was like a HUGE vapor storm (it was actually on fire). I opened it as quickly as possible and stopped the flame - its left a burn mark but it ''seems'' to be OK.

Anyone know what happened? Never done that before...

Also, I have the space case grinder which was quite expensive - but it never grinds it as much as i'd like. How does everyone else grind it well? I end up having some greenish, and some black bits in the magic flight when i'm done (I'd rather not burn any).

Excellent piece of kit and customer service with this btw.

I personally have got great results from a Duracell 15 min charger. Batteries peeled easily, and I can go through 5-6 trenches with 1 battery.

How small are your trenches ?!?! I cant see fully vaping 5-6 trenches on a single batt even with a good charger and some 2700's.....

Tiny, 4 or 5 hit trenches maybe

Elluzion: Adjustable temp is where its at :) being able to dial in on taste is fucking great

Congratulations! You combusted your first trench. Not a big deal. The spot on the screen will go away. If you want try {very} lightly cleaning it with some ISO on a q-tip. Then put a fresh battery in, with an empty trench, and just hold it down for a minute or two. Should clean up nicely. It will probably happen again. Just be careful not to leave a battery in for too long or cover any of the holes.

Yeah, 5 hit trenches. A little less than half full. But that's basically all day. BTW- hope your Steelers pull it out.
