I just noticed something interesting....well, 2 things really.

The first is that since I took out my pushback ring a couple of days ago, I began to experience a somewhat dimmer than normal light when I put the battery into position. I just tried pressing on the battery (old habit from using the pushback ring) and the light got brighter. It seems to me that if you just push the battery in and leave it there (obviously this can only be done sans pushback ring) you are not getting as much juice because the connection must not be as good as when pressure is being applied. I have just tested this theory several times by looking at the light and pressing on the battery and releasing over and over. I can now say with certainty that unless the battery has pressure applied to it, you are not getting the full juice that you would get with the pressire applied. It must have something to do with making better contact with the positive connector inside the box. That's the only thing that makes sense to me anyway. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I crazy?

The second interesting thing that just happened was that I'm here in my garage enjoying a nice trench and I spotted my old acoustic guitar in the corner in a nylon case. I thought to myself "I remember when I used to hide weed in the zipper compartment of that guitar case". For shits and giggles I decided to open the zipper compartment of this old Fender acoustic guitar case and I was astonished to find about 1/4 of weed that I had totally forgotten about!! I had sealed it in an airtight foodsaver bag, so I think it's still good even though it's probablly 2-5 years old.

Has anyone ever vaped weed this old before? I'll try some out tomorrow.... I hope it's aged well! :p

Well, thanks for the recommendations, but the problem is that i live in Germany, and shipping times can be a pain in the ass...specially considering that i wanna have mine within the next 18 days...crap..i ran outta time =S
Is the grinder that puffitup includes in the package the same one from vape world?
Puffitup looks like a great idea, but theyre currently outta stock...any other ideas, considering my location?
Is funny how it is cheaper to get it from the USA, shipping included, than to buy it fro the stores i've visited in the UK...

You can get it from vapor-sunshine.com, they will probably ship it overnight (they are Germany-based).

what a good find stu...I did something like that a few days ago when looking through my snowboard gear and found a few gm's in a foodsaver bag.

the problem is that it would be really expensive to get it from them, and they don't include the batteries, nor the charger or the cool grinder...

They did include 2 LSD batteries in my order, as well as the battery caps, tin box, velvet pouch, rubber bans, brush... I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just recommending them because of the speedy service.

Also, the blissville guys recommended them for me.

derp,
Thought I'd lost my MFLB for 3 days when I got a little too drunk at Beer Revolution, then found it waaaaaaaaay in the corner underneath the couch, at home. I thought I'd have to email blissville with a sob story and probably shell out for another.

All praises be to our dark lord and master, Satan.

FYI, I bought mine from Vapeworld - call them up and they'll give you a great deal as mentioned, no tax unless you're in Florida. Puffitup is also completely awesome, and both carry the newest MFLBs I believe.

Does anyone have a stainless steel heating element one for comparisons sake against the copper-covered ones?

You're very lucky! I recently lost my Iolite :'(

Fortunately, I have my MFLB which I'm presently using, and I must say I'm quite vaked ^.^, lovin' it. Except it's kind of difficult to get the battery in, I almost have to force it, which is not something I feel can be good for the battery. It's not the pushback ring though, it's the metal ring inside it's as if it's almost out of place, and it kinda looking slightly uneven too.

I could probably push it back in position, but I wouldn't wanna mess it up even further.

I know I saw this in the thread somewhere, but I can't find it now. It looks like i have a slight tear at the edge of my trench. I can see the silver as shiny in spots, and it looks like it is separating and exposing the metal underneath the screen material.

I love this thing, and it still works great. I am using it right now, in fact. I contacted Blissville and told them about it, but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem- or if it's a problem at all. I looked at it under a loop, and it looks like it got worn down somehow.

I know these have a lifetime warranty, so I am not really concerned. I just hope I didn't damage it somehow. I only use the brush to clean it, but I do break up herbs that are in the trench sometimes to get a finer grind.

I know some manufacturers don't like it when people talk about warranty issues on here, so I hope I did not offend. I love my LB, and maybe this is nothing. I guess a picture would help...

That just happened...
It's not out of place. It's like a spring to provide tension on the battery. The newer units have it coiled tighter so even skinny AA batteries make good contact.

I'm wondering where is the best/fastest place to order from.

I found:
a) Warehousegoods on ebay - comes with free grinder and extra batteries
b) Blisssville - What does this show up as on credit card statement?
c) Vaporworld - Does this show up as Six5 on a statement?

I'm concerned about the rents ;(

Maybe it would be best to wait till you're old enough to move out so you don't have any "rents" to worry about.

Just an fyi, from the forum rules (of which I have broken more than a few myself ;) )

"This forum is for mature adults only. We don't want to hear about you needing to hide things from your parents."

Of course, this is coming from a parent who raised his twin-sons as a single parent, so hiding things from them and doing shit behind their back kinda rubs me the wrong way. But hey, that's just my perspective, but it takes this thread off topic but it is kinda interesting, so I'll post this topic over at the lounge.

A wise decision. A dislodged or distorted contact coil is a warranty issue. See:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...fety_bent_or_pushed_to_be_a_little_tighter.3F

The contact coil is supposed to intrude into the battery chamber a little.

How old is your LB? Early LBs were delivered with Tenergy and then Eneloop batteries. I know the Eneloops have a smaller diameter than the current Imedion stock batteries, and I think the original Tenergy batteries did as well. (They certainly did after they changed the form factor.) If you've since changed batteries then that would explain the tight fit, especially if you went to Powerex or Imedions.

I understand that you might be concerned about how the damage occurred so that you can avoid a repeat, but to clarify just in case: even if you damaged it yourself it is still covered under the Magic-Flight warranty.

I can't speak for Magic-Flight, but warranty issues are discussed in this thread all the time. I can't see them objecting because they always come out looking like heroes. There is no better warranty than the one for your LB.

Edited to add response to Tstat

Thanks for the info :)

Two more quick questions for anyone who can answere:
a) Any idea what puffitup.com shows up as?
b) Is it worth getting a visa gift card for something like this? I mean, it's completely legal, correct?

I appreciate the quick replies and help :) Can't wait to order.

I've never bought that specific thing.. but my buddy got a thing piece of stainless steel and drilled a few holes in them for quickly curing buds at his dispensary, and then realized that if he drilled the holes at certain angles, alternating this and that-- it would be a great 'bud cheese grater!' His homemade one seems to work fantastic for his PD and any other vapes I own myself. (one being the mflb) It obviously does not seem to work as well with fluffier, leafy buds, but performs outstanding with some dense thick nugs.

What a good day for my mail , I got my new LB ( push-back ring ) and 8 more 2700's . :D This mini grinder is  I havnt used it yet but it looks nice plus has a slip ring and magnet like some of the big ones . I'll post after I give it a go .

So far I like the idea of the o-ring to hold the screen down , I tried the pushback for a few hits but I just dont like it yet . I'll try it again later , maybe . I'm not 100% sure if I like the intake change yet , not sure why I dont like it because I changed the intake on my other box and this does close to the same thing . On my old one I used some wet paper and stuffed the area between the copper ring , wood and lid full so the air could not come from around the battery , I then notched the wood out so my intake was coming out 90 dregrees from the line it was making . The new groove seems to let a lot of shit fall in .

Much more testing is needed . :ko: :ko:

Puffitup shows up as Six5, you can read this page http://www.puffitup.com/Config_FullStoreURLShipping_a/241.htm

If you dont need to get a visa gift card, then dont. Nothing illegal about ordering a brand new vaporizer.

Here's a funny thing.

Today I dropped my freshly loaded LB and one of my two batteries (with a cap on) into my pond.
I said "fuck" a lot of times.
I found the box right away, but the battery took some time. They both slid out of the pocket my sweatshirt. The box was all covered in nasty.
I wiped off the outside on said sweatshirt, then looked at it.
The trench was untouched. I opened it and wiped the wood under the lid with a paper towel.
I found the battery several minutes later and the cap kept the + side completely dry.

Moments later, I felt much better. And now I'm going to change my sweatshirt.
