Been contemplating buying this for a long time, just wish it was a little bit cheaper.

All the mflb owners should consider buying a high quality smart charger, the type which can charge one battery at a time or 4 batteries of different voltages and give you an individual reading of whether each battery is charging or done. These also tend to charge alot faster than cheapie chargers.

I got mine on shnoop for like 14 bucks and it's awesome. You can even use the charger with 4 Nimh batteries as a mobile phone/appliance charger! With a backpack full of high quality nimh aa's you could be vaping in the jungle chatting on your cell phone for weeks!

Lifetime Warranty = WIN!

All these stories of lax concert security is pretty scary and sad consider how Dimebag Darrell of Pantera was shot and killed on stage while performing in '07. Guess he wasn't an important enough death to take some extra care to protect the artist and the audience in the future? Seriously sad... :(

And I know it's nice to be able to bring the MFLB in but I rather just be sober for the concert and not have it be extremely easy for someone to bring a knife, gun or some other sort of weapon in. I would think if one just crotched it all they would be fine, since your zipper can set off a metal detector, right?

Hey everybody,

I've had my box for about a couple months, and I'm loving it!

I have some questions, and a suggestion for a new way I learned how too use my box.

First off can anybody recommenced some good batteries?

I know it's probably somewhere in those 200 + pages back there, but looking for the most up too date stuff!

Also I noticed my Manufacture batteries from MFLB are starting too not hold up.

They seem too go super quick, and once I take them off the charger and in to their case, I notice a depletion of that battery.

Example I took the battery off the charger, and had in it's plastic storage box for a few hours, then put it back on the charger, and it took awhile for it too charge up again.

Does MFLB warranty the batteries in this type of situation?

Cool technique that I've started using a beach ball (haha) as a bag with my box, I get an awesome gravity hit with it!

I'll post some pics, and instructions if anyone is interested!

Thanks guys.

fstim,
fstim dont inhale from a beach ball, it made with alot of vinyl pvc, offgases voc's, can't b healthy.
don't recharge batts after already charged, kinda wears em out or sumting, dunno if magic-flite warranty the batteries in this type of situation, prolly not.
best batterys have highest actual milla amps ratin about 2700 or so, there's regular & slow discharge is about 2500 may b. info may b in a search here or on vaporpedia

I would recommend the powerex imedion 2400mah batteries.
They are low (self?) discharge batteries and if you charge them full, they have 85% of their power left after a year of storage. This makes them practically always full when in our situation.

The normal powerex batteries discharge themselves very fast. So you allways want to have some freshly charged. With the imedions you don't need that.

I agree. I just picked up a package of 16, and I'm loving them so far. I also have the Powerex 2700's, but they don't hold a charge for a while like the Imedions. I'm glad I have both now, though. :)

Anyone enjoy vaping nicotine with this thing?
I use it for the gree too of course, but recently I've been experimenting with tobacco with good success.

Well, except for the first time where I over did it and ended up puking all over the place and couldn't walk.. sometimes you gotta learn the hard way

Only thing I'm worried about is getting addicted and then being without my vape at some point and craving a cig.. :/

I want to get my brother, who really really needs to quit smoking, to use the LB. He tried it but I didn't convince him to switch. I was wondering if we didn't use enough tobacco or the right kind or something.

I tried to find information about vaping tobacco but didn't turn up much. I did read that cigarette tobacco is nasty and that we should use rolling tobacco. I got some and dried it and crumbled it pretty fine. We only used a small amount because we were afraid of overdosing. I read somewhere that vaping tobacco is about six times more powerful than smoking it. Do you think that's accurate?

So, in preparation for Round 2, and to help me make a cool addition to the MFLB Vaporpedia entry, what kind of tobacco do you use? Do you prep it in any way? How much do you put in the trench? How many hits are equivalent to a cigarette or one session? Also, since I will absolutely not try tobacco myself (I am afraid that one hit would probably hook me again) I am curious to know how you think it tastes.

I've tried tobacco in it. I used American Spirit rolling tobacco. It was okay but i've never really gotten much out of smoking/nicotene as far as a buzz goes. I could feel the effect when i tried it in my LB, but it wasnt something that i wanted to do again.

Needing to quit and wanting to quit are two different things. He might want to check into e-cigs. You get the nic fix and the experience is closer to cig smoking. Being able to pull out an e-cig and hit it whenever, vs. messing with a vape, is a better 'quit method' IMO. Even if it takes a long while to give up the nicotine, e-cigs are considerably cheaper (not to mention safer) than cancer sticks. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

I would recommend him an E-Cig. That's where vaping nicotine is really at. It's a specially made device just for that purpose, so if your serious about vaping nicotine that's where you should go. You buy little nicotine (not tobacco) packs and pop them in. The device looks quite stylish and charges via USB I believe. I have a few friends who like them, but haven't tried one myself. Of course it's still addicting, but nicotine isn't all that bad for you all considered.

I tried to find information about vaping tobacco but didn't turn up much. I did read that cigarette tobacco is nasty and that we should use rolling tobacco. I've heard the exact same thing, six times. Can't recall where but I imagine it's accurate. I don't have much experience with cigs, just cigars, so I can't compare. However a fully vaped bowl of cig baccy only gives me a small buzz, but that's only like a third of a cigarette. It's certainly true that cig tobacco is filled with countless poisions, many of which are probably vaped right along with the nicotine.

So, in preparation for Round 2, and to help me make a cool addition to the MFLB Vaporpedia entry, what kind of tobacco do you use? Do you prep it in any way? How much do you put in the trench? Its quite a pure taste in my opinion because you don't have all that smoke in your mouth. I enjoy the taste about as much as a black and mild cigar, but wouldn't do either simply for the taste.

If anyone's interested in vaping baccy, try it with your LB first with some good quality tobacco. If you like it, invest in an E-Cig. Gets the job done better and has that classic feel of smoking (shaped like a pen not a box)

Thanks for the information, kinkster. Thanks also max for mentioning e-cigs, but I am aware of those and have a friend who uses them. In the long run they might be the answer for him but right now I just want to find out how he could use the LB with tobacco. One step at a time.

Incidentally, it's not about trying to get a buzz. He just needs to satisfy the nicotine craving. By way of heading off a lot of off-topic posts, he's tried just about everything else.

I'd still like to put together something about using tobacco in the LB for Vaporpedia, so if anyone has anything to offer along that line I'd like to see it. Thanks in advance.

pakalolo,
Is this the newest version of the magic flight, the one with the new o-ring which apparently runs a little warmer and people like better? It sounds like it, but I want to be certain.

http://www.vapeworld.com/vaporizers/magic-flight-launch-box-portable-vaporizer

This place has a 12 forum discount too.

They also apparently have a 5 dollar whip n mouthpiece attachment, any one try one of these? Apparently the site has free shipping no minimum so you can just pick that up for a sawbuck if you want.

That's.. odd^. I guess it would be cool to watch the vape flow threw a foot long tube, though.

They list o-ring as a feature so you should be good to go.

Pakalolo I wish him luck. The MFLB might be slower but it'll def give him his nicotine. Tell him to grab a bag of legit baccy and it'll prolly be cheaper, safer, and maybe even as fast as cigs. On the speed issue of getting his buzz I don't really know, but at least a bag of tobacco would probably be more finely ground then splitting open cigs, and thus faster thicker vape?

I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I encourage you to experiment.

kinkster,
Just bought from vapeworld, was 91 bucks free shipping w/ the whip attachment.

Alot of you might not know that some retailers have discounts for FC forum members, check it out. It allowed me to get the MFLB w/ whip for 9 bucks less than just the box. And indeed, the whip can be had for 5 bucks no shipping.

Goddamn I'm wasting alot of money on vapes, but I have never, ever seen a vaporizer get such unanimously good reviews. I'd like to really get someones honest opinion on how this vaporizer, which is apparently conduction, really compares to convection vapes? Am I not truly understanding the heating action of the MFLB? What is the heating element made up of anyway?

And check out this 13 buck pollen press: http://www.vapeworld.com/herb-grinders/cnc-aluminum-pollen-herb-press

I managed to drop the plastic 2x AA battery case my MFLB came with the other night and snapped the end off.

Does anyone know where I can get some more of the 2x AA cases online for cheap? I'm having a tough time finding any actually. I've already got some 4x AA cases but they're too large to carry in my pockets comfortably.

Also, does anyone know of any cheap places to buy 4 packs of Sanyo Eneloop batteries online? The best price I've found so far is on DealExtreme ($US12 with free shipping).

I own the LB (conduction) and the Extreme (convection) but I'm not sure what you mean. With the right technique, you can get thick clouds, if that's what you're asking. For the rest of your questions, see the link in my sig.

Look on forums like slickdeals. People are always clamoring when good battery deals come up, rechargable or no.

So do you have to skin conventional batteries? Or you just have to twist and finagle them a bit?

As far as I'm aware you need to skin or at least partially skin batteries for them to work with the MFLB. But yeah, I do find that I have to twist the Eneloop batteries to get them to make full contact sometimes. Other than that they work great.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Meritline or Digitalextreme have those battery case things, probably in the the 2 battery size. Digital Extreme also has some very nice jet lighters for ridiculously cheap for those who need them for other vapes.
