I would recommend a grind that would at least pass without pressure/force through the mesh of a common window screen. If it is at least this fine, then that is a good start.stuey said:Does anyone have a photo of the desired grind?
I know its a bit courser than kief but "a bit" is very subjective.
I just want to know what I'm aiming for from the word go.
OK WOW so we really are talking about a powder like grind.magicflight said:I would recommend a grind that would at least pass without pressure/force through the mesh of a common window screen. np, glad i could help.stuey said:Thanks steiner666
I went with the 2" Titanium Space Case you recommended.
The reason I decided against the space case with the storage pot was that the grinder itself was only 1.5" diameter and I just thought this would be too small!
I do that too sometimes, works great and hasn't had any adverse effects on my LB yet. Its just stuff that turns to goo when it gets hot that you need to avoid putting in this thing IMO.sfld said:Got my box yest! WOW is all i can say WOW WOW lol the way this thing conserves is crazy!
quick question, we are vaping kief correct? So does it hurt if i add keef to the the ground up herb and shake it up in the box? Im getting monster hits this way. Regular sprinkled kief that came off while grinding it.....
I don't know that it is recommended that you vape kief in it. I know that when I use kief in my whip type vape, the wand gets super dirty fast. I would imagine it could really gunk up your screen/box. Make sure you do a cleaning cycle with your battery often if you are going to continue to use kief in your mix and I would brush off the screen with every trench.quick question, we are vaping kief correct? Yeah it sucks through in my ssv screen, but the screen in the LB is significantly finer and I havent had any real problems with it there. I also brush and blow the trench out after every session too, so i'm sure that helps avoid build-up. That little brush has become the most valuable tool for sure, esp if you load a powdery bowl up and then carry it around and shake it up for a while b4 hitting it. Brushing everything into the trench b4 the first hit is what i usually do.momofthegoons said:I don't know that it is recommended that you vape kief in it. Thomas Distributimg does not carry La Crosse and if Thomas Distributing does not sell it it is not worth getting. Check out some of the combo packages they have. I like that they provide complete descriptions of every chargers capabilities so you can make an informed decision of what features you want, must have and can live without. Their prices are as good as you will find and their shipping is very fast.stuey said:Well, I'm still waiting for my LB to arrive looks like it will be Monday.
I suppose now is as good a time as any to ask about additional batteries and chargers.
I'm thinking of getting the La Crosse BC-900 charger. Does anyone have any criticisms of this charger or a better recommendation.
Does anyone know how fast this charges on its highest setting?
As for batteries, I gather there are two types, one holds more charge but loses charge over time, the other holds less charge but dosnet lose charge over time.
In laymans terms which do I need? Any does anyone have any make and model suggestions?
I GOT MY LB!! A few little problems though, but first thanks Sti for the tips, sucks about not being able to smoke the real deal huh.. Same situation here..HighSti said:Thats my area of specialty since I have not/will not be able to consume cannabis for about 4 more months. I haven't used bud in 2 months.. GASP. I use the JWH-018 compounds which are added to various herbal blends. These blends do in fact work very well with the launchbox but the technique does vary a little bit from vaping actual cannabis.bigknots said:Just joined the forums, just ordered a LB from vapenow. VERY STOKED! Also have a few questions, does anybody have any experience with vaping spice blends (such as K2) using the LB? I'll be doing so when I get my unit but I was just wondering if anyone else has done so? I'll post my own (future) experiences later if anyone's interested toooo.
With my launchbox at least, I have to suck in quite rapidly with cannabis because the box runs pretty warm and I want to avoid burning or releasing much smell. With the jwh stuff (spice, k2, darwin, etc), you're defiantly going to want to suck slower as to get the herb vaping at higher temperatures. The blends at the higher temperature will extract the compound effectively and deliver a nice punch in the face high.
Play around with it for a bit, you'll get the jist of it. Any additional questions, feel free to shoot a question directed to me or even check out the Darwins Head Stash thread in general vape discussion.
FedEx just showed up with my batteries, and I am very pleased. They were very easy to peel, which was good for me. They also came pre-charged, and the package says they have a year standby time. I also read on the package that they will not get a memory. I tried one out in my LB, and it worked great.Vicki said:You've bought this particular brand before, and you know they peel easy? That is a big plus for me because I have severe RA in my hands, which makes doing even simple things difficult. I'm not even sure I could peel a battery, especially if it were being stubborn. These, if the company/product is as advertised, could be a good option- they are LSD with a high enough capacity rating. Dunno what the quality of the batts are when compared to the maha or sanyo stuff. I have them and use them regularly, seem to be fine. They peel real easy too, which might be a decision making factor

I want to order 4 more batteries tomorrow, unless someone says these aren't good. I not only need them to be peel easy, but also be good quality.
