I called the owner some days before the package arrived, that it's from me. Maybe he thought it will be a normal parcel, not just an envelope....
I gave MF the address and state/province in english and I shortened the street name to xxxxx Str. 30. I don't know if I should give them the address in english or german (because I live in Germany).
What can I do next time, to prevent problems? The packet was a long time "On vehicle for delivery" but just one delivery attempt was made. I really don't know what I can do. And as I contacted UPS via email, they wanted to communicate with the shipper first.
Can I submit another warranty claim, because MF will get the box back? I would have the new one a lot faster, if I don't have to wait till the first one arrived at MF.
You should have asked the owner, before contacting MF. Always give the address in your own language. As long the parcel has "Germany" or "Deutschland" on it, it will arive in the destination`s country, from there the mail-service from your own country will handle it, and they will understand german addresses;)

You can contact MF, explain the situation, tell them it`s your fault, and ask them politely to contact UPS. Provide MF with all info you have.

First off, very sorry you're having troubles. Hopefully it can be put right quickly/easily.

First off, yes I think you should contact MF and explain. They can see what's going on by the tracking and I'm sure would move on a replacement before they have the package back in hand (which can take a while).

Secondly, while I'm not there (of course) I've come to understand that the Postman and regular UPS (independent parcel delivery only) drivers know their routes very well. My postman has 280 'customers' (maybe 800 names typically) and he refers to locations by the name of the occupant. It's not 'the second house down, two streets over' it's 'Mrs. Hemple's'. The UPS guy is about the same.

That is, I can guess that the carrier saw 'the wrong name' on an international shipment to a know "LHS" and decided it was a mistake. It could easiy happen to me here. A package to my house with your name is at least going to be questioned. Therefore, as others have suggested, get permission from the owner of the shop to ship it in his (or the shop's) name. I bet it sails through.

Good luck, MF will hang with you until it right.......they always have. They know how important that is.

Good point. Here we don`t have a "personal delivery man" 10 parcels will be delivered by 10 different delivery services and every time it`s another person. So it does not matter what name is on the package.

mAti, i do hope for you MF will soon find a solution for the problem. It`s no fun to have no working FB around:(

How should I contact them best? It's not really a "online store order" problem, but I think this is the best way?
I think I will ask the owner for permission, to use his name. I don't want to see my second package going back to america again :)

It's a small outfit, I'd use any of the links, they're sure to route it to the right 'desk' quickly. That sounds as good as another. The idea is to make personal contact there and probably 'trade a few emails'.

Good folks, they'll work with you. They too want (and value) happy customers.

if anyone has a suggestion of Aussie brands that are the same as the MFLB uses feel free to let me know as I may as well buy a few as back up.

Not an "Aussie brand" but can you get Duracell down there? I've had good luck with their NiMH rechargeables.

I recently got a Finishing Grinder and that has made a significant difference in the vapor quality and cannabinoid extraction. The herb is super-fine and fluffy. I think the finer the grind with the MFLB the better. Slow 10 second draws produce a lot more noticeable vapor and I seem to be getting higher on less material. Or maybe it was just because the Grape Ape was almost 27% THC :o

Picked up some new Glyph batteries, wow my old ones were so shot I had no idea!

Yeah, it can kind of creep up on ya for sure. Sorta like your jump shot, it slides so slowly down......

There's an old bit about frogs and pans of water.

The Glyphs not only fix that, it's not just 'just like brand new' since it redefines what new should be like. I'll be buying more I'm sure.

Hey there mflb-ers.

I'm educating myself, and have a question.

Does the mflb stay put when connected to the orbiter? Seems like it might easily be flung around at the end of a whip.

Thanks in advance.

Anyway you go about it, you either push the button or push the battery. So you gotta hold on to it. They do have a Launch Pad that will hold it for you, but you still have to push something to get it hot.
Speaking of heat, has anyone used a microwave to warm up the glass on the Orbiter for easier cleaning?

I have not, but I wouldn't hesitate if I thought it would help. It just never occurred to me that it would. Do you mean with something in it, like maybe PBW?

Any tips for a Flight Box that isn't running as hot as it used to? Like a Step 1-2-3 troubleshooting guide?

Absent damage or heavy fouling this is perfectly normal. All boxes 'cool off' some early on. My take is the oxide layer (darkening) slows the heat transfer, or perhaps thinning of the wires a bit? In any case it stabilizes and you should get long service from it.

Upping the drive (either with the PA or 'glyph' batteries) can offset much or all of this. But there's nothing to troubleshoot most likely because it's perfectly normal.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. Here's how I got my dirty year-old box with the heavily-used original batteries working again at a satisfactory temperature:

Did a "burn off" of the empty trench. (Thanks, KidFated!)
Dipped the brush in 91% iso alcohol and gently brushed all the particles and resin from the screen. (It was caked on thickest at the ends, where the seams in the screen are.)
Let it air dry to evap any excess iso.
Another burn off cycle with an empty trench.
Cleaned the lid with toothpaste (unrelated to the temperature issue but helps the box look brand new).

I just tested it and was able to bring a trench to the point of combustion, so I'd say it's as hot as it needs to be!

Why did you clean the lid with toothpaste? Normally I just use ISO on it and it looks great.

The Plexiglas cover is starting to get grungy on the inside just over the trench, how can I clean it?
Open the Box and turn it over. Place the cover on a sturdy flat surface. Apply a light coating of toothpaste, just enough to cover the dirty area. Use an old toothbrush or even a paper towel to rub gently in a circular motion until the cover is clean. Be careful not to apply pressure in a way that could snap the cover. Rinse with a little water. (Most people aren't aware that toothpaste contains a fine abrasive that is excellent for cleaning Plexiglas. It will even remove fine scratches.)

Sold my MFLB yesterday with a bit more than a year of use. Too much VAS and I was just not using it, still a great vape.

Hope it's new owner will appreciate and enjoy it as much as I did and may it turn many others to vapor.

Farewell to my beloved steampunk matchbox, fly high my friend...
