Excuse my ignorance but why is it all black, burned and cracked on the inside of your cap???

This is why there is a new High Temp cap. Voodoo did really used the Lotus wrong to go this far, as he wrote.
You can blackened the wood by over-heating and you can smell the over-heat if you do it ! However, once you past the running, you can't make it worst
Lotus is powerfull, you need to handle it with consideration. No need to rush and overheat, keep on heating : it's coming !
When you feel the edge of the cap is "hot", it means you probably are doing to much bowl back to back and need to let cool down just a few min...
Let's remember fresh air goes through circuit boards, batteries & electronics in some other "high-end" vape...

Cleaning wise : I use only ISO for the stem and WPA without o-rings. No need to bother with something else.
Also I have a regular "fast-cleaning" process of taking a small 1cm2 (not bigger) paper-towell pushing the build ups back to the bowl right after alcool bath. Make it small enough to not stuck the pipe funnel on the bowl side and just push it in the mouthpiece to make it tight ! Then rinse & dry / heat. 3min done !

I believe it's stainless steel
But I never do anything but scrape it and torch/change my screens.

My only scortch was in a car, I was passenger, on bumpy road.
This vape may be tough in a boat, bumpy car. It will work
but may burn wood, as you want the flame in a small area.

Indeed, you need to be really careful with it and as you said if you do all that running you can't make it any worse. The main plate replacement though did make a difference. The HiTemp cap in that case, worth buying it as an upgrade to the normal one.
Speaking of which, it is sad that the Lotus stopped shipment to my country, don't really know the reason, when on the contrary me and couple of my mates that have it we are promoting it all the way.. Vapefiend that has Lotus accessories and the lotus itself, is almost 20-30% more expensive.

The Lotus is one of the faster vape I own, a few seconds to load, torch and get a very thick hit!

The torch you get make a big difference I think, I got some which work very well with my Vapcap, Vapman or NimbinVap but not enough powerfull for the Lotus (cause the shorter flame).

A large volume bubbler works better for me, when I start to see the first hint of vapor I stop heating and......whitewall smooth hit, cause heat retention i think. And taste is so good...

One of these vapes I will buy again if broken or lost...even if I own a ton of backups.

Funny I got a LOTUS because @natural farmer and @steama were big fans.
Once I got a good angled torch this LOTUS got me feeling just fine.
Then I get it wired and love it these vaporist were talking about the VAPMAN then I realized that maybe they were collectors?

For me the bottom line is do I get a satisfying rip of the CANNABIS I'm enjoying?
The Lotus is basic and works great!

I break glass GonG's all the time.
The best water adapter hands down is made by LOTUS.

I can use a JHOOK however my favorite water path is a large water pipe!

What I like is I can rip insane white clouds that are full of flavor and effect is important! To obtain both Flavor/Effect pretty great really!

I think the diagnostic show he has all the predisposition for developing the syndrome. Might be in the early stage already.
Luckily I'm there to help. Finding a satisfying and versatile tool help us tremendously.

Does it count as VAS if we keep buying the same vape over and over ? Not my case but should be my 3rd Lotus in 2016 (High temp). 1 every year so. We say : never 2 without 3 so had to be for the High temp.
I stated before : I use the original one and the other is "all clean" as a back up.

If I didn't have other vapes I like very much I would surely have another Lotus as backup. I have been contemplating getting the High Temp Cap just to have it, even tho I don't ever see concentrates. I mean, I WILL someday, right? And gosh, maybe mine is a little burned inside. It's possible, right?

I've never use a lotus before but I just bought a high temp one. I can't get concentrates but I might eventually. I wanted to make sure it was the right choice.

Sure might be ... Other than concentrate purpose, my first expectation for the High temp was the ability to take it all apart and clean it ! Plus it's just beautiful ... I'll get some plate with my next order also. All the other people I know who got a Lotus after me never had to change their plate yet.
I still dream of a wooden pipe for the Lotus. I was in contact in the past with Ed and post here got me back to my thoughts !

I am also a little puzzled about Steve stopping sending Lotus to Greece. I am not sure exactly how many friends of mine have bought their vapes from Lotus but I guess they are not few... I will have to order mine from friends in the US next time...

Glad to see you still enjoying your Lotus my friend! Don't mind us talking about the Vapman. Your holy grail is taste and aromas as I have come to understand (aside from the herb itself) and the Lotus still surpass the Vapman at that department. My priorities nowadays though is economy, efficiency and stealth and the Vapman really excels there. I can also still get spare parts and accessories in Greece with Vapman so... I HOPE I could be a collector but unfortunately so far I usually have to sell vapes I love in order to try new ones...

I'm so excited guys!! Just collected my precious bong today!! It was ordered from dhgate and I actually collected it in less than 15 days!! WOW that was fast for me. The item was perfectly packed, came in perfect condition and I just can't wait to finish work and go home to test that little motherfucker with my WPA!!!
I'm waiting another gift as well, an inline bubbler for my J hook, that should be delivered any day now.

edit: Since this is my 1st bubbler, to what level do I pour the water in? Does it have to be more than the 1st "layer" or less?
