No worries mate!
No residual heat with the Lotus, it heats up instantly and cools down instantly as well... With the T1 and Firefly you need to try a bit for each hit and takes longer to get that hit (you need to try harder with the T1). With the Lotus it's as easy and fast as 1,2,3! By the time the FF starts producing vapor, your eyes are already watering from a big Lotus cloud. It's THAT faster!!!

Yeah. The speed of this device is a major draw. After owning the T1, Evo and Cera, I can say that I enjoy and find easier the greater responsiveness of the T1.
The responsiveness of the Lotus sounds fantastic! That and the lack of fussing around with batteries have me very excited about getting this vape!
I would still like to pick up a Vapolution when funds permit but a quick hitter that is low maintainance is both what I need and desire the most. I like driving a manual vape, and on the medical side of my use, I also need to be able to take a quick, low fuss hit when I get migraines.

My D020 is getting pretty mucky with bits of ABV from stirring the Lotus between hits. My friend called it "barnacles" growing on the side of the perc stem. I'm thinking about adding an ash catcher to it, but I've really never bought any, and I don't know which would fit the D020 female connection (DAMF connect? I forget what it's referred to). Obviously I can use a finer screen - but I think I still want some way to keep my D020 looking clean.
Actually, the Stainless Steel body of the WPA doesn't transfer heat very well at all, the Lotus use's nearly pure convection heating to cook your herbs. I have never actually felt my WPA warm to the touch (granted, I use the handle to lift, but still, even when refilling mid-session, it's cool to the touch). The only "residual" heat comes from the nickle heat plate. Typically, once I've stopped heating with the torch, I continue to draw for 1 or 2 seconds afterwards to pull through the high heat.
Before I pack up my J-hook when out and about, I make sure I take a few long draw's with an empty chamber to cool down the plate before I put it in it's case.
Enjoy the Lotus! I didn't know what it felt like to milk a vape, until I had the Lotus. And with no electronics or moving parts, the Lotus is EXTREMELY reliable. The torch lighters on the other hand.....

This is the most dangerous vaporizer I've ever operated.
Not only is there an increased risk of burn caused by operator error, it also delivers medicine incredibly fast. I've been getting incredible output from 1/3 chamber loads.
This Lotus is dangerously potent - exactly what I'm looking for out of my daily driver.

I have a nice bit of lotus rash on one knuckle wear it with pride it's like a battle scar!
I'm quite impressed I've not managed to give myself a full lotus flower branding on my hand being a clumsy clot and all that.
It should be a rite of passage all lotus owners brand themselves then we could all be ITK and form the cult of the lotus

You may find it a stupid question, but...
the aluminum stem has a hole at the back right? (opposite from where you sip)...
Question is... Do you guys cover that hole with your finger at least partially>?
Also ... Is it possible to vape concentrates such as traditional hash? how?

Stem hole has a screw that is removable for cleaning, and I have not done this yet but a lot of people say the Lotus works well with "hash sandwiches" (hash sandwiched between leaf).
I do have to say that this one was a better buy at $22.00 shipped (see link below), but out of all the other glass I have been getting in, this is still my daily. For some reason even though it shows over 900 in stock thru that link, it also says sold out.
And the only email I got back from them after I tried explaining that if they removed the top 2 or 3 showerheads how much better the piece would be was......
"Yes, we have more glass."
Kind of gave up after that.

Traditional hash either by itself or by adding screens, especially if concentrate is more liquid/melty
Often people will put their dab or bho on cotton balls and vape those
I learned kief by itself works fine in the Lotus.

Right before I took that I killed a loosely-packed 7/8-full bowl in a single rip,
best yet out of the roor and highly recommended
