@EveryDayAmnesiac - Thanks for posting the photos and explanation of the Wine Cork Tube. It does have a lot of little piece parts to assemble but holds together very well.

Just finished up a project on some wood that Snappo sent to me. It turned out very well. It was the first time I had ever turned buckeye burl wood. Had enough extra wood to make some roasting tubes and a tube holder. Very light weight wood with crazy figuring. One HI has a glass heater cover and the other has a ss heater cover. A very true comparison of how the ss compares to the glass since the wood is identical.

Sigh, the ss core and hibrid core are both so appealing. I feel like I have to go for the hibrid though to get the best of both worlds. I figure I want to sip on flavorful vapor more than I need the extra density and heat.

The buckeye burl is gorgeous and makes me glad I didn't go with a hi lite. Really liked the lightweight metal look but everything that comes out of Alans factory is too breathtaking!

That is the prettiest log vaporizer I've seen.
The stem with a glass tip is well designed!

How do you like this set up?
From the looks of it I'm truly impressed!
Agreed @ataxian - the @Rrose Selavy Hi is stunning!!! Congratulations & ENJOY!!!
@Snappo...Thank-you for your assistance in seeing my project come to fruition. I especially appreciate guiding me through your dense selection of inventory; finally narrowing it down to the Buckeye Burl. Your customer service is stellar, and beyond reproach... I look forward to doing business with you in the future; and would encourage others to do the same. Thanks again...I wish nothing but good fortune to you in your enterprise.
@Chicken Charlie - You are most welcome! It was my great pleasure helping you to see this through! The end result was well worth it - ENJOY!!!

Alan these are stunning. I was thinking spalted maple but now I'm gonna have to consider buckeye burl. Really loving that wong.

@Alan - This Luddite member thanks you for posting the pictures of our project. Descriptive adjectives don't do justice to your art form - you are very gifted!...(Further) - a collective thanks to members of this forum. Your impremators and testimonials were key prior to placing my order; and now (like so many others) I anxiously await the arrival of my postal carrier. Thank-you all!

Wow... just chopped a tiny *piece* of a top cola getting a little to close to the lamp last night and after drying it out in the microwave on defrost a couple of times and sitting near the window all day, I came home and put the HIsaber on 13.1v for a couple of minutes to warm it up from dead cold, used the wood on nylon 18mm adapter with the SG Mini King, backed it down to 12v just before hitting and boy... was I in for a treat!

Three good clouds (I'm paraphrasing Three Cups of Tea here) and man, just what a little T-break can do for one's MMJ experience! Headphones turn into the highest of hi-fi systems and my mood is SUPER elevated!!

Herb in question here is TH Seeds' MK-Ultra (G13 x OG Kush). Not the best and most resistant plant there is, but she can sure yield like a mofo and has decent potency to boot.:leaf:

Just curious if your HIsaber is SS or hibrid core? Just curious, nothing more.

(Post a pic of your hisaber though! I don't think i've ever seen a HI'd out saber. I still wanted to HI heater mod my SSV but I heard messing with a SSV is potentially dangerous!)

The HI's warm-up time is nothing short of incredible. From dead cold to being able to vape, I'd estimate it being under 10 minutes. Of course you have to overshoot your normal target voltage and it's a bit of a guessing game, but it works fine nonetheless!

I'll leave mine plugged in all day, but not overnight. I like to give my HI a good night's rest after it's been working so hard and faithfully all day.

Since I have a Solo if I wake up in the middle of the night, and a Firefly for first thing in the morning, I feel it's best to let the HI have some time off. I want mine to last forever. I want mine to be passed on after I'm gone (unless I choose to be buried with it) and to continue giving, so... only plugged in when needed! :brow:

Although, sometimes (often) I forget to unplug it (get too drunk and pass out) and find it ready and waiting in the morning - and then I am instantly in a better mood...

I leave my larger log vapes plugged in 24/7, but I don't feel the need to do that with the HI since it heats up ridiculously fast. I took my first (extremely satisfying) hit today no more than 8 minutes after turning it on at 11.5v. My HI has very little mass (it only weighs 52g) so it doesn't take long at all to be ready to go.
