By the way...
I thought the original warranty was 2 years, but then if it stops working within 3 years after that they will offer you the device for half price.
I remember reading that the bulb was rated to last for 35,000 hours or something? I'm thinking it should last a good while for most users.
Id bite in a flash if it wasnt a USA/Canada only thing. Meanwhile waiting, waiting (for export model and a reply email LOL)Good post Sticks. I hope you're right, the tune might change when we find out how much it costs to replace the bulb, but you're right....it's pretty damn rock solid so far, but it's still electronics, and this thread overall is super quiet for a vape so good and popular on FC, but much of that has to do with not too many owners given its high price. I look forward to the future with Herbalizer, and Josh's endevours...it's such a good time to be alive! For the future Herbie, I would wish for less plastic. After putting the Herbie away for weeks, and firing it back up again, I couldn't but help notice the same odour I did when I first bought it, which put me off a bit. I wish the member who bought it from me would post on his experience with it, I haven't heard boo (but he only joined to buy it I think). I also can't believe there are STILL 2 Herbie's alive in the Classifieds....especially one for only $400, and nobody is biting?
To put this into a comparative perspective:
I use a cheap porcelain aromatic wax defuser with a halogen bulb of the same appearance. Since I run it at full power (only choice, not adjustable), every day for 7 hours and have had it for 2 yrs, that means my cheap bulb has lasted 7 x 365 x 2 = 2,110 hrs . Sure, electronic shit may/can happen but I'm expecting that I'll have a very long life with Herby considering the usage difference
So I've been loving my herbie with buds and wanted to try some concentrates. I made my first batch of bho and pre-heated the ss pad a few times. I melted some oil on the hot pad and blew four bags starting with decent clouds. I noticed the taste of the ss pad alot and was hoping someone could give me some insight on how to get rid of that taste. I was vaping at 420 and 445 . Thanks for any advice or comments.
Yeah, the start up messages, 5 year quality guarantee, and exclusive paint job were the three main "limited edition" features as far as I remember. No idea when they'll stop selling the LE in favor of "regular" units. It's been nearly a year at this point, so how limited is it really?
Ok I gotta ask again who has a Herbie outside of USA/Canad that has a voltage change only and has had NO ISSUES??? PLEASE respond ThanksGood post Sticks. I am starting to wonder about there service record of the Herbie company.
I have a question for you guys and girls regarding the LE warranty.
Has anyone ever seen a non "limited edition" herbalizer?

In fairness, you have left out details here that were included in the comments on your video on your Youtube "Public Service Warning" about Herbie's Dangers.I 'd like to share my experience with herbie...

They are for information's sake available for anyone to read by following this video to youtube.
You purchased the unit from an unauthorized seller, presumably to get a bargain.
You got it on amazon and used the unit in costa rica.
You explained they say that the warranty can't cover it because it was used abroad.
The power cord was connected to ups to avoid electricity fluctuation.
One fellow told you:
Wow I'd say you just had some bad luck. Never buy used. I had mine for almost a year with no problems. I even contacted support about more balloons and they sent me 4 over for free! So I dont know bro I'd really contact them and find out if they can compensate you about this. They are a reputable company.
Good advice!
I told you:
If the seller were authorized you could get replacement or repair
The unit was used connected to unfamiliar current that was likely not considered in it's creation, and this less than consistent current was paired with a self prescribed auxiliary Power device.
I will have to agree with you, that I also would not use any Vaporizer with circuitry under conditions of foreign electrical current with "backup".
I am sympathetic to you, as a user that has had an unsatisfactory (and scary) experience. You did not log in here and make a first post to be constructive. I suspect it is to further vent your understandable frustration, and then in the final run warn off some potential users.
I wish I personally could remedy this so you would have a great vape to use.
I am sorry you had a bad time, but with all facts clear I do not think you are scaring off any Herbalizer fans here.
I don't know where you find this false info, maybe in the com I am watcingment of other people in my video, here the truth:
-I purchased the herbalizer from herbalizer company via amazon they ship it directly
-it was brand new not used .
-i paid 729 usd
-the seller was authorized of course.
-My warranty was not valid because I used the unit in costa rica.
-speaking with an electrician he said there not purest form of electricity than one coming from an UPS
i just share what happen to me everyone is free to think what they want but it happen and was it scary and the fact the company don't want to investigate the cause scary me more.
the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ask me to keep the unit for further investigation , I don't know maybe there were other cases...
I can't accept anyway that a 700 usd state of the art vape could catch fire !!!!
