Wow, what a treat - huge welcome and props to
@Engineer for not only helping to design what I think is the best vaporizer on the market, but also to grace us with his presence and knowledge. We are very, very appreciative that you are now a regular part of this thread! I was SO excited reading through the last page of posts from my mobile at work, but now i'm able to contribute and ask some of my own questions (
@lazylathe stole them all)
I
think what
@lazylathe meant by his last question was, will there be a more affordable, stripped down, sleeker smaller Herbie down the road? Unless i'm mistaken, and he's inquiring about a battery operated portable or similar? I assume Josh, that you have a greater plan ahead of you? I also assume, that Herbalizer will be biz as usual, and nothing else is really affected?
The reason i'm asking about the sleeker cheaper alternative is that i'm a huge fan of simplicity and minimalism. I choose quality over quantity every time, and i've already made some cost cutting modifications to my unit. These are just my own personal opinions/observations: I took the lid mechanism right off....I have zero use for it, and opening/closing became pointless so I removed the entire lid/mezz. I still don't understand how proprietary the mezz is, meaning you must only fit that tiny bottle of defunk, and IMO it seemed like something quickly thrown together...I would have much preferred the latch and no aromatherapy.. why even include that option? Am I doing something wrong? With defunk, or any of my 2 dozen aromatherapy oils, I literally have to be smelling right above the unit to get any effect, unless that's the point. Regardless, I could very easily live without it...my E-Nano does a much better job at diffusing with a tiny bit of water in a glass aromatherapy cup.
Even with what was mentioned in the airpath, the taste of this vape is awesome! The odour that was coming from the heater port is pretty much gone, or at least just smells like "hot" now. Great explanation for the tubing smell/taste! I had no idea! I actually love using the whip now that it doesn't have its own taste. Do you recommend any other tubing other than the stock white silicon? Are the easy valves replaceable, if so do you have any recommendations to purchase bags to use with the existing valves?
I don't have issues with leaking bags....I find the fan works awesome and a bag is filled in a half minute. I actually love using the fan, and I think it's the best way to get the most out of the load.
Is the buzzing noise anything to be concerned about when the unit is plugged into a/c power and yet not powered on? I assume this is a normal sound from transformer?
Thanks again Josh! I feel so fortunate to be a part of the limited edition Herbie family! I have NEVER EVER experienced such smooth and comfortable vapour even at higher temps. Thanks for changing the game!
PS. What's with this easter egg thing I keep reading about? lol Is it the screen saver that pops up after being on for a while?
I enjoy herbie LE/1.0 as a daily driver for months now, he managed to equal nano on the vape station. By its ease and preciseness he even won the 1st place.
Like you, I love my E-Nano....the thing is bombproof and can have more intense flavour than the Herbie. For some reason though, I keep using the Herbie over Nano, but maybe it's due to the honeymoon period, but there will always be room in my arsenal for the Nano. Or maybe it's just because the Herbie is so dang awesome.
Edit: Just wanted to add, that it is a very weird feeling not having VAS anymore! I'm done (until the Grasshopper hehe).
