I'm in that same tough place! I'm just borrowing this Swagger HT from @lazylathe and feel bad to rob him of his precious! But now that Herbie is my daily driver i'll need more than one HT!

The Doughboy recycle tube is far and away my favorite piece of glass. I would highly recommend anyone in the market for a HT gives these a look!
Also intrigued by what you mentioned concerning grind bio,the grinder I have now is well over 5 years old and I get a medium grind from it. Your saying a finer grind may yield me, dare I say, even better results ?! Guess I need to add a grinder to the list..funny the only thing this list does is get bigger
EDIT-oh just got a fresh pickup for this fine Sunday. Who's vaping with me
When folks are talking fine grind, is it to the level of MF finishing grinder fine or just along the lines of really running it through the grinder? What grinder are folks using?
Inexpensive is subjective. Here's a link to my thoughts on the Doughboy recycler and flavor/diffusion and some comparison to other tubes I have used. Since Doughboy does custom pieces, a sidecar could be done, but I'm not sure if that would mess up the vortex. VapeXhale has a few sidecar options. That's all I am aware of.Doughboy recycle tube ?
I know little about recyclers and my experience was in looking for bubblers.
I was under the "impression' that a recycler piece (bubbler or HT) would have
more diffusion of vapor = less taste.
Is that a correct impression?
Everyone vapes for different reason/ results but I want maximum flavor. Does a HT recycler
take away from full flavor? Shortest vapor path = fullest flavor?
I'd like to find inexpensive HT with minimal diffusion, would add a little moisture to the vapor,
one with 18 mm female joint, and with a mouthpiece of to the side like a bubbler.
I'd like to hear more about HT options, as others have mentioned. Ratchett will be making a 18 mm male jointed HT adapter piece. Does anyone offer a cheap 18 mm female jointed HT? Does anyone make a HT that's not just a straight tube but more like a bubbler, with a mouthpiece off to the side.
Please, let's hear more on HT options--------inquiring minds want to know
edit..........? Racthett adapter will be 18 MM male so--- 18 mm Femail to 14 mm male. HTs I have seen had 14 mm F fitting. anybody do HT with 18 mm??
Does the nug seem any more or less efficient?
You probably aren't going to find any HT's in head shops. They were invented and are patented by VapeXHale. They are all 18mm except the mini ones that originally came out for the Pinnacle, which were 14mm.
If you already have some glass, you can use that. All the HT does is get rid of the tubing in the air path. You can ram your stock tubing and mouthpiece into a 14mm joint and hold it in place. I just got an Extreme elbow adapter which fits nicely into the stock tubing and mates with any 18mm piece. I suggest you go find some cheap glass you like and use that at first. The HT setup is cool, but Herbie can feel awkward under the HT. But when you use the tubing to mate with glass you have a lot of leeway in how much you can move around. I actually like it hooked up to a small $20 dollar bubbler that is easy to hold with one hand and pass around.
The whip will stay in better if you give it a little twist when inserting it into the bowl.(if I move at all the thing pops out).
