Level 30 Nature/Healer
I don't notice it from the exhaust unless an herb particle went in or Im heavily heating it.
One of mine melted to my underdog.New hammer gear turned up, went to swap the rubber and it is melted to the metal. Been going for half an hour now and it's pretty well suck and it's such an awkward position. Going to see if I can get a little blade today something a little better. Tweezers and my smallest knife aren't up for the task. Anyone come across this?
One of mine melted to my underdog.
I dunno. Some feel different?
So, I let my friend borrow my Hammer and this happened.

How might I be able to pull the black ring out? It seems like it's stuck and I can't unscrew the top portion of the Hammer.
All you have to do is unscrew the screws and realign everythingSo, I let my friend borrow my Hammer and this happened.

Items you will need:
1. #1 or #0 screw driver (for 10 large screws)
2. #00 screw driver (for 4 small screws)
1.) Using your larger screw driver. Start by removing these six screws and take off the top portion. (How do you like my high tech. skills here?)
2.) Next the trigger can be removed by pulling up and out.
3.) Using your #00 screw driver take out the four screws holding the "heating chamber".
4.) Now you can remove the heating chamber by pulling up.
5.) Next remove these four screws
6.) Using your finger nail separate these two parts carefully.
7.) Here is where you want to take care not to lose any pieces.
Pull off the front.
8.) Next remove the back
9.) You can now remove the igniter and "torch head" from the fuel tank.
10.) Straighten the igniter so it can be slid out of the "torch head"
11.) Remove igniter
12.) I don't know if your new igniter will have these but if not you will want to swap these little "sleeves" before you re-install the igniter.
13.) With your igniter re-installed in the torch head you can now reverse the process and once again enjoy The Hammer.
Oh shit! I just noticed I forgot an to include an important step for The Hammer igniter replacement.
Upon re-assembly of The Hammer do not straighten the igniter (Image 1) until the "middle housing" with the four screws (Image 2) has been assembled.

Sorry it took1517 photos but I didn't want to leave anything out even though I tried to simplify it the best I could.
Happy Vaping!!!

Yes. Are you speaking about my oil video. I boosted my internal dial. At 90% and above it has a tendency to blow out since its so high. I remember the early Hammer days I had much higher heat up times compared to the recent videos.@paytonpenn do you have your hammer pro turned up in any way? I'm curious as I get good results with mine thru water but you seem to get an almost instantaneous burst of vapor and it states that no preheating was done..mine is Def less than 30 seconds but it's slow building milk in the bubbler..yours is like boom..
How bad is the heatup and where is the dial set for it? I normally just have the butane away from me while I hit and let off the heater a few seconds in the hit. I also like to have my dial high for the heat up and reduce for hits.Helped my buddy get a Hammer Pro thanks to @Philreal187! (bud's a member here too but not very active). Anyway it came yesterday and already he's a master with it, pulling great hits with Ed's stem or the GonG (tried it out with my GB187, inline honeycomb, and straight tube icecatch bong).
I had a bit more trouble bc I always use my nose to inhale as I'm hitting, that technique has helped me a lot with mastering pure convection vaping... But here it is a no-no unless you want a nice dose of butane with the hit. Oddly it actually smells kind of good lol, but I know its bad. Best way was for me to hold my nose, only a couple times I was able to not smell while hitting, tough for me. Holding nose also restricts my airflow bc of weaker lungs. I still got some great hits though, dry and mostly through water, this thing definitely hits like a beast. Very Daisy/Lily meets Underdog in its powerful vapor signature, as expected.
The one real negative aside from the smell (which is just me, and maybe I'll get better like I did with Daisy which was tough for me when he first got it, first butane vape we used, course now I have my own Lily), is the long heat up. But maybe my friend will develop better techniques for that as well, its only been one day and I'd say that one day was quite successful considering so things should only improve from here

Conduction will give you a quicker heatup and stonier high if you're will to try but it's a harder curve.
Its hard to turn the dial while the flame is lit. I adjust on the second hit but only if it was heated well enough. I did some testing and 30 seconds seems reasonable if you were looking for a cloudy hit, after 40 it seems like it would be too high and risky. I normally dedicate 20 seconds of preheating for a light first hit but hold the button for 5 to 10 seconds while drawing. After that its 3-7 second preheats and the hits just keep getting bigger.Just a 30sec ish preheat I think? After big 90sec for session start. Tried a variety of settings, medium to medium-high, dial higher was good but risk of scorching too, maybe bc we preheated too long that time? Typically were laying off heat for hits, tried this for smell and even with whip. Whip was great cuz buddy could spark it and I could pull through the bubbler next to him with no smell issue. Since its his I won't get to use it thaaat frequently of course, he's read through the thread though too, maybe he'll pop in
Do you set the dial down in the middle of the hit? Like high then dial down as you hit? Or for the second hit? That's a good thought
@Shit Snacks glad to hear u and ur buddy r enjoying the hammer. Im pretty sure I was checking the tracking as much as u guys, I was a bit worried sending a used vape and especially used ed stem to the capital. But everything worked out well.
My best advice to avoid inhaling butane is when on a water tool face the exhaust outwards away from ur face. And also the under dog mini whip with the glass stems works great at creating a distance from ur face and the exhaust.
Thanks for the quick purchase and hope it treats ur buddy well for a long time!!!
