Buildozer

Baked & Fried
Well, Buildozer did, and said as much.
There IS a perspective that keeps coming up in thread that is getting really tedious though....
BTW I didn't delete my post because I was embarrassed, I deleted it because it was the right thing to do.. First of all, it was all over the place and had no structure, and second, I was typing just to do it for me never intending to post and ruffle dem feathers.. I left for 30 mins or so and came back to find that I had unknowingly posted in this thread and I found myself in some passionate debate, or whatever it was.. I don't care to debate about anything, I don't feel the need.. That is another reason why I never intended to post.. If you will notice I don't post shit like that usually, but I do type out posts and delete them often.. I trust that I know what I am looking at, I don't need agreement from anyone.. So arguing and trying to convince any one of anything, is not a role I typically care to fill.. I will leave that up to any of you that care about it.. Agreement, Approval, Acceptance, Attention, Attachment are 5 A's I have learned to not want, and I gotta say.. It's great. :peace:

* Sorry for keeping things derailed, I'm done.

No amount of derailment can stop the Grasshopper train!

Even the indiegogo comments are hopeful: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/grasshopper-vaporizer?c=comments

A couple of weeks ago, I got this message:

"Our new website is 99% complete, and will launch very soon. The minute it goes live, Indiegogo backers will be able to check the details of their individual orders, and get updates as their specific Hopper comes off of the line."

I have joined/subscribed the wait list, which has been "confirmed".

I also submitted my "contribution confirmation", but have not heard back regarding this. I believe that correlating these contributions with the indiegogo orders must be taking longer than they thought.

Has anybody had their contribution confirmed, or heard any recent news on the new GH website?

edit: Nvm, I just noticed that they have another update scheduled for tomorrow!

...it's that last 1% of the website that takes the longest...

Wanna bet that their next update says that the website is practically almost nearly finished?

I think I remember something about issues with importing the indiegogo data?
If so they will have to correlate every order manually, no easy task.

I am glad I only went with the standard $99 perk maybe I will get it sometime in 2015...
Why would you say something as negative as that when it's just turned into March, the recently-announced delivery month? The early birds or whatever it's called should get theirs relatively soon, then the rest of the ss backers, hopefully right after that they start shipping the ti models.

I thought the original delivery month was February which has come and gone...not trying to be negative just more realistic. Look how long it took VapeXhale to get their IGG orders complete, they still haven't sent out the international units when they originally said expected delivery was Oct 2013. So if VXL a company who already successful launched a top vaporizer had delays of 6+ months from their originally release date I would expect a company with no previous track record (not sure they even have any business experience, looks like they just graduated college) to have even longer delays. Just my :2c:

Edit:
Cause people are high as fuuuuck when they come on here and like to stir the pot (pun intended).

Keep calm and Vape on!

And yes I just woke up with 2 ELBs from my EVO.

Yes February was the original delivery month.
I guess you haven't been keeping up.

Keeping up with what?

Last update I got was on Feb 15th saying their website was 99% complete and they just secured a large manufacturing space. When I worked for a manufacturing company we set up a new manufacturing space, I worked extensively on the project and it took us 1 year to be operational in the new space after acquiring it. I know grasshopper is much smaller than the company I worked for but if they are just now securing the space do really think they will be production ready in a month? Again not trying to be negative just more realistic on when I will actually be getting my grasshopper.

Definitely not March.

INDIGOGO SITE said:
Due to the 30 day lead-time that our injection molds and extruder tooling require, the timetable has been pushed back slightly. We’re waiting on the manufacturers for the exact date that the tooling will be ready. Our estimated delivery date has been moved to April. You contributed for a revolutionary vaporizer, and we won’t be satisfied with delivering anything less than that.

Today's update:

The Grasshopper is moving along steadily. Over the last 13 days, we’ve placed preliminary battery orders, smoothed out details with the charging circuit, and made solid progress in manufacturing. We’ve also finished adding fast-charging support for all major USB charger brands. If you have a high-current USB charger, you’ll be able to take full advantage of it’s power to charge your Hopper in 20 minutes or less!

Required tooling is on-order, and production-ready parts will be arriving this month. We‘ve encountered some problems with manufactures not meeting our specifications, and this is a major time-sink for us. Due to the optimized design of the Hopper, there is no room for mistakes. Every dimension on every piece is critical to the proper assembly and functioning of the device. We’ve pushed machining tolerances to the limit to achieve the size and performance, and getting every part perfect in a batch of 4,000 has proved to be serious challenge.

We wish things could happen faster, and we are trying our absolute best to prevent another delay. But we remain committed to delivering a great product above all else. When the Grasshopper ships, you will not be disappointed.

Every day is a challenge, and although 16-hour workdays and 7 day work-weeks can be tiring at times, there’s nothing else we’d rather be doing. We’re more excited than ever to get the Hopper into your hands.

Check out the site, and stay tuned for the March 17th update!

Works for me:popcorn:!

The $99 price looks like that is the price for the backers.
That's what I thought at first too, but I'm not sure. The site is of use for backers only right now. But the update does say that the site is the future home of the owners forum, which would mean backers plus everyone who buys one later on. And though only backers will be able to log in before the Grasshopper launches, the $99 part IS on a publicly assessable page.
