That tracker is a. * great * tool , I've been enjoying referring to it!It's been another good Friday for the campaign (actually the best day since day 1). Not only that, but I just did the numbers and they've averaged $800 more per day in week 2 than in week 1 (excluding the outlier of day 1). We'll see if week 3 will brubg the expected mid-campaign lull, but so far the first half of the campaign has only shown acceleration.
By the way, if you haven't looked at my spreadsheet in a while, I've managed to make it a lot easier on the eyes now. I also added some back-of-the-hand projections, which should of course be taken with a grain of salt. They depend upon a constant momentum which, although it has held up so far, isn't a given. I think it's still fun to look at where things could go, though!
Wow your projection is alittle over a 1/4 of a million? Pretty wildIt's been another good Friday for the campaign (actually the best day since day 1). Glad to hear it!That tracker is a. * great * tool , I've been enjoying referring to it!
The projection is only a simple multiplication of the average daily contributions times the number of days remaining, added to the current total. So it all depends on whether the momentum remains as steady as it has, which admittedly isn't usual for Kickstarter-style campaigns.Wow your projection is alittle over a 1/4 of a million? Pretty wild

For real. What is the next stretch goal, HMMMMMMMM.
Aww, just one? Don't keep all the fun for yourself (or figure out a way to fly me out to help!)If they hit 200k we'll see a third party review?

Tempting... 4/20-ish or is there a cup being held there in April that's not the 4/20 one?Come hang out with me in Denver in April. I'll show you how I review

I'll shoot ya a PM in a sec, we should probably stop spamming the threadIt is! It's the 4/20 Cannabis Cup

Let me ask an honest question. I have followed many crowdfunded projects. I have never seen one that has independant reviews.

Has anyone in this thread? I understand that it's a leap of faith that not everyone is willing to take but berating an IndieGoGo for not having reviews is such a strange concept to me. If they had the money to manufacture the final versions there would be no reason for this campaign to exist. Yes it's a risk. The reward is that you get it first and for cheaper if it should work out. But only you can decide if that's worth it or not.
Edit: Accidentally a word.
I think most of the problem that GH is facing is limited funds to get more protos/review units built. They won't get any money until after the fundraiser is over, so unless they're already working on assembling review units, we'll probably have to wait until they can secure financials for it. Anyways, I'd hope for at least some test units to be shipped next month, possibly before the end of the year? They're aiming for a Feb. release date, but we all know how that works out... I'm really hoping that they'll push them out as soon as they can, sure they might find bugs and stuff but their usage patterns vs. everyone else's will probably lead to some interesting discoveries. You're saying that we shouldn't expect to have pre shipment item reviews because it doesn't/hasn't happened in the past.
Why don't we break the mold?
How much would I need to contribute to get an acceptable quantity of review units made and shipped. How many review units will Grasshopper designate?
