I appreciate the honesty in your reporting @BuzzDanklin. I'm glad the last couple days there's some actual info instead of a lot of guessing.

All vaporizers have their good points and not so good. This vaporizer might be one that will fill the niche of an herb pen.

I personally have a sensitivity to hot, harsh vapor and often need an extended air flow. I would assume this vaporizer would work for me if I kept the temperature down.

IMO, harshness of vapor is a problem they can easily solve by producing an optional extension (0.5 to 1.0 inch) with an insert to absorb heat and make a spiral or serpentine path so the vapor travels farther. On the other hand, I'm thinking people may just adapt to the GH by using lower temps...

Why not just shove a 1 inch piece of tubing over it?

Or just hook it to a waterpipe when at home! (I still normally use it w/o water because it's not too warm for me)

Gah! I didn't realize the stainless steel version was so affordable!!!! Damnit, this is making it really hard to not purchase one.

Anyone wanna take bets on when I might actually see this vaporizer if I order one today?

I guarantee a lot sooner than the backers had to wait. Ha-ha

By the end of May I would guess.

Hey it could be worse, you could wait 10 years for a average fps game like Duke Nukem Forever :-D! That said the DLC for its was amazing imo...everyone ignored it though by that point.

I ordered one a stainless steel grasshopper.

While I wait, I might as well order a bubbler as well. Can anyone recommend a good, but relatively inexpensive one that will be a good match? Ideally, one which won't need an adaptor?

Possibly one of these 4 which seem to be a popular choice, although these are all 18mm :(

Yeah most are 18mm on dhgate, but you can find some 14s.

I love my inline honeycomb from Kathy. Super smooth pull, best for convection

Trying to figure out if a Ti grasshopper is worth it. I mean it's not that much extra, it will be lighter, it should be slightly more electrically conductive (don't know if it will affect actual run times or how anodizing affects this because there are so many different type of anodizing coatings and processes), it will be more impact resistant to the outside but a hard impact may damage electronics anyway, the black would be less reflective and possibly a bit more stealth, comes with the leather case ($10), anything I am missing?

Damn it, I am such an indecisive over analytical bastard :mental: .

I feel your pain. My decision process stalled on that same question. Finally, I said the hell with it and went Ti. Right decision? Beats the hell out of me but the die is cast...

The only real advantage with the Ti version for me could be it being slightly more emmissive which means the mouthpiece might not get as warm and seemingly will cool down slightly quicker but thats it. I always take great care of my purchases so the Ti being tougher doesnt really make any odds for me hence I went for a SS. Although I wish the little leather case came with the SS as well to protect it that little bit more. Also think the standard finishes look a little more classy than the coloured versions which do nothing for me and can see the anodizing getting marked/scratched over time making it look a little tired.

Could you please elaborate?
Yes, please!

If the grasshopper team used their connections to source some right sized bubblers, ideally with a built-in silicon adapter so one could just pop the grasshopper in without the mouthpiece, I'd totally add it to my order.

I bet a lot of people would. That would be a killer combination!

In what way? Basically the inline helps put the vapor beneath the center of the honeycomb, so it can then diffuse through all the honeycomb. I used to have a similar styled ratchet disk perc, without the inline, and the vapor tends to take the path of least resistance near the joint, so part of the perc was kind of wasted and it chugged a bit more. The inline helps it be really smooth pull with very little resistance so you can pull a big cloud through. It helped me get the hang of my Underdog, and works great with my T1 too. Also a 18-14mm reducer was only like $8 on eBay, got it for my underdog, and the bubbler was only $40

@delloy all Hoppers come with the leather sleeve.

My logic for Ti is it may be useful for groups moreso than the ss, since it stays cooler. But with the silicone protector may not be much of an issue. But also my logic is to order both so....

@Puffers Found a website where some pen geeks discuss the pros and cons of Stainless Steel vs Titanium. To sum it up, several people mention they like that Titanium weighs less. Titanium is slower to corrode vs SS, but apparently SS can be buffed of it's scratches, while Titanium can't. I understand in comparison to other vapes the SS is still going to be light. I guess if you would like to go super light, or live in a humid place where corrosion would be a concern, go Titanium. There's also the heating up and cooling down factor - but I'm not sure how much of a difference that really makes. I've read Titanium heats up faster and then cools down faster, and SS heats up slower but stays hot longer. This doesn't affect the vaporizing (of course), just the outer shell. I look forward to hearing more solid comparisons about the Temp. of the Titanium vs SS shell.

@BuzzDanklin I think I read a comment from you about Titanium vs SS, but I can quite recall. What did you think of the Titanium vs SS? (If you tried them both). Was the heat up, cool down a significant factor? Was there a noticeable difference in the weight of the units?

Yep. I am interested in this inline honeycomb gizmo from Kathy.

Actually, I was stuck on that question for about 10 minutes. The answer was simple to me: Save money and buy the SS version. That way, I'll have something to lust for with the next revision/iteration of the Grasshopper :D

Still, I've been reviewing the market for stealth flower vapes and the grasshopper is one of the very few I'm considering. The only down side is the wait.........

Soooooo tempted to finish this order. SS GH and 2 spare batteries
