I have two other questions. Maybe you anserd them already:
- What about the smell when you use the grasshopper?
- Do you have to use a grinder for herbs: Do you naeedto grind your herbs fine?

Thanksb

It works better than most vapes w/o grinding, however it still performs better when ground up.

After seeing your question I loaded a single nug into the chamber, set the temp a bit below 4.5, and took 5 draws. After I emptied the chamber, and broke the herb apart, I would say it was around 50% vaped.

If I had loaded a ground up bowl, it would have been at least 75% vaped.

As far as smell goes, it is about as minimal as a vape can be since it is on demand, heats up really fast, and it also requires very few draws to get medicated.

With that said, if you set the temp to 5 and take a monster rip, you are going to exhale a large dense cloud that is going to smell very strongly.

You can clearly see from this picture, that they are free to leave at any time.

LOL It's a
Grounding strap to protect against static discharge.

Yes! Its definitely a grounding strap. Ive been in quite a few circuit board assembly plants and can tell you, with 100% confidence, that the strap is there for quality control. Also worth noting that the picture is that of a hand soldering station (DIP rework or assembly) - i.e. a fairly high skill job that would pay $40k-$75k in the US or Canada. That makes it very unlikely for me that the job is being performed by children. Nothing in this photo implies to me that this is not a quality PCB vendor, of which there are many in China.

The thing about the grounding strap was just a joke you know....

But anyway, the GH uses SMT- they aren't even working on the GH boards in that picture, way too big.

That's a big ammount for a small pen. Where did you see this?

Edit: that's more than a half inch.

...just comparing photos old and new...the prototype tip is shorter and the space bewteen the holes and the bowl is clearly longer on the newer one. Actually...I retract that bit, I forgot it goes over the thread now!

edit: Im not in any way saying its a problem, just something I noticed. Being a cabinet maker I have a very keen eye for margins/measurments etc ;)

So is the heater 45W @BuzzDanklin or 30W as the site says?

I was told that the heater with the current software was maxing out at 45w with the current software, however it could be raised even further if they wanted.

What I want to know Buzz is when you actually medicate with the thing did you cough like the girls in the video? Vapor quality wasn't really addressed in your review and the videos you posted didn't really help with that. Hot hot/harsh is it?

The taste is good, the density is amazing, but it is a bit hotter/harsher than other vapes that have a longer vapor path.

I don't cough like the girls in the video, unless I am hitting it like they did. They were using max temp and full chamber (.25-.3g). With max temp, you clear a full chamber in 4-5 hits, so they are very large hits, and also make me cough often. If you use lower temp's its definitely not near as hot/harsh and I don't cough.

@BuzzDanklin I saw u rated the firefly a 9.2 and the GH a 8.9. What aspects made u rate the ff higher? Just wondering so can get a better overall idea...

I love the taste of the Firefly, none of my portables or desktops taste as good in my opinion, I like the way it feels in my hand, and I just enjoy using it a lot for some reason.

Now that I'm in, I think my attention has gotten a bit more focused. Sorry if I missed it but must you use their charger or can you also throw the battery into a nitecore? If you must use their charger, do you also need the pen? If so, extra batteries seem a little less meaningful.

They both work well, if I am just going to be vaping alone or with one other person, or if I need to vape in short/quick situations then the Grasshopper is best imo. But if I am going to be vaping with multiple friends, or plan to stop at some point for a longer more relaxed session the Pax2 is tough to beat, although the GH is small enough, I might as well just take both? :)

As of right now you can only charge the battery in the unit, with the supplied usb charger that magnetically hooks to the back of the unit. However Trevor was talking about a dual slot external charger in the works. I got the vibe it was one of the first things they would tackle once they got assembly/shipping rolling out smoothly (I was told they were going to be running 24hrs with 3 shifts once they got rolling after getting back from China.)

You can use a digital charger (Use Settings: LiPo, 3.7v, 1 or 2amp, and 1cell) if you have a slot to fit the battery, the problem is the battery is a custom can size, so they digital charger in their shop was using a 3d printed battery holder:
