Seems like a lot of people are a fan of this vape. Convection vs conduction took a little reading for me (used to have a solo and a pax) both cool in their own way but the pax drove me nuts with a couple different things. Solo was awesome but huge. Hated the draw resistance though.
Due to me being a sipper, little hits throughout the day, this convection style vape is definitely better at conserving herb correct? Flavor from
This vapor is good? Big clouds? I found one on Craigslist that a guy has and doesn't vape so he's selling it for 150, made an offer and am waiting to hear back. We will see
Yeah I started with a Thermovape T1, and then got a Solo months later. Yeah Solo is easy with huge clouds and playing with temps (Pax, and similar vapes usually not as good taste and temps, save for Indica imo, with their pure session conduction designs, I've also had Ascent/FlowerMate/TVape/Imag+/Herbstick Deluxe/xmaxV2 and used Haze and Pax). Makes it a great gateway vape really, bc it eventually leaves you wanting more, at least in my experience since I recently sold mine and my Air, to vapor novices.
Also more recently I have come to appreciate these pure convection on demand vapes more than any session vape really. The T1 was a great starter, got lucky with that purchase, but battery life terrible, it is now a plug in unit for me with the PA and WPA. No temp control but great power and taste, but no more lifetime warranty on even a new one of those either anymore since company folded...
Elevape was next and pretty incredible imo, very impressive once you figure out how to handle its learning curve (some have no trouble, some have very much!) and get it set up for you with consistent results. It is my ultimate quick hit anywhere vape, but like most pure convection suffers from needing to stir nearly every hit. It was $260 very well spent for me, great customer service and lasting product to me. Efficient, super smooth, first hits can taste so incredible...
Next Firefly for $240 with extra battery, and been through 4 total now, and on my second, harsher needing stirring unit (I posted my tweaks to it a page or so ago, have an amazing stirrer tool that sticks to the lid) Still have a working 750 and a new 770. Can get 3 bowls in each ish (maybe a tad less in the 750, tad more in the 770). It was easy to learn, and passing to others including combusters always leads to an impressed reaction. Despite having already been happy with the elevape I use the firefly all the time, its mostly ESV on the go and FF round a house (both in car). Its a very elegant and fancy feeling device, despite the single temp working like T1. Taste is great, though my current one gets more of a hit spot, so loses it like the others, I'd say all even probably really for these units...
Oh yeah somewhere in between there before esv even was underdog, plugin pure convection on demand, can't go wrong with a log. Huge clouds off so little and so smooth through a bubbler, amazing taste et al. (had an LSV for a month, sold it when got UD bc it was too big and too much power, didnt need for groups, like vapexhale cloud)
Finally got Lily (my friend has Daisy, and its wonderful). Torch powered pure convection is also pretty incredible, totally different, and temp control with Lily is carbs/draw/torch but doable. Also amazing through water (see also, Lotus)
Basically, you really can't go wrong with an on demand pure convection unit. Might have a learning curve, or other down sides, but you'll quickly discover that its all well worth the unmatched vaping experience, it is the true transition of hitting a pipe or bong to hitting a vape or vong...
But yeah 150 is solid, just know the warranty will be tricky and is useful to have, unless this guy is willing to help you out and email (or register it under your name if he hasnt yet, maybe give you copy of original receipt etc)? If you can make sure you're covered then all the better, dont wanna lose 150 if it has a problem at some point
