No contest.
I like the P2 a lot. It is about as stealthy as you can get. But either FF model is light years ahead in flavor. They are very different devices in almost every respect. Different tools for different applications. Don't sell the P2 unless you need the funds...you'll find it useful or even optimal sometimes, even if you use it a whole lot less.
Yes, quite different. Pax 2 is a much more ''involved'' vape. For starters, grinding fine is an absolute must (I use an MFLB Finishing Grinder to great effect), and even if I now pre-grind my bud for a night out (and carry in a JyAR), I still have to wait for the thing to heat up while my buddies are already puffing on their Js. The device also requires frequent, rather involved cleaning for the taste to remain decent (nothing beats that first sesh after a good clean!), and that's using an aftermarket screen and pusher. I'd say these aftermarket parts are pretty much a must for me because even tho my tolerance has gone up a bit I still very rarely do a full pack unless I'm with people. The pusher not only reduces the chamber, but enables a more even avb without having to stir at all. Without it the vapor path gets gummed up faster and you need a lil' stirring for best results.
All the above is, of course, pretty much the exact opposite of the FF2's ''plug and play'' nature. Save for the app, you just pack, engage the heat and go for it. I don't understand the people who are turned off by having to stir this one
. I mean, from what I've seen, it's just a few taps on your palm! That's like ''tipping" a J pretty much, nothing wrong with that. I also have absolutely no qualms with the frequent yet EXTREMELY simple cleaning it requires. Doesn't really get any easier than that from what I've seen.
While my Pax is great, I feel the FF2 will be a much better daily driver as it seems much less finicky and will allow me to have to think less and just go with the flow of things. It's not as stealthy as the Pax 2 (I don't think anything is
) so the latter will probably be the one tagging along to hockey games/concerts/etc. but the vast majority of the time I'm just vaping out on the balcony in the backyard (indoors when the girl is out and about
) or at a friend's place so stealth isn't a big factor for me. Plus, it can do concentrates (something I could dab into at some point) and will likely have firmware updates, hence new feature(s) and/or added functionality in the future, which not only extends it's lifespan in this fast-paced tech era, but keeps the unit itself simpler, which can only improve reliability.
Long story short, I'm very much looking forward to driving a pretty, flashy, modern, easy to use and ultra performing blue Tesla most days and taking out the ol faithful, seemingly immortal, elegant yet very inconspicuous Honda Civic when I don't want to stand out too much. This should be a very happy relationship indeed!
I don't think you'll be disappointed. Other than the waiting part, which is hard on all of us.
I must admit that as an early April pre-order, I've yet to go 24hrs without FF2 content showing up in my browsing history
p.s. I hope all these quotes work.... #noob
