How would you guys say the Extreme Q bag hits are compared to other bag vapes? Are volcano hits better? and if so, how?

I WANT ONE!

A couple quick questions, Does anyone know where I can get a glass pathway like this one?

Also, I've been told that the vapor does not render until you physically pull the hot air through the product, is it wasteful to turn off in the middle of a session and come back hours later? Sometimes I feel like I get more total hits if I do it all in one go.

I can only compare to the volcano from experience.... volcano fills much faster and is virtually idiot proof (the guy I know that has one proves that!). When I say idiot proof - I mean in getting good thick vapor in the bag every time. With some practice and using lower fan settings (even longer to fill bag) I can get the same thick vapor from the EQ.

So to answer your question.... Do volcano bags hit better? Yes, if you just throw a load in and fill a bag without thinking about it. The vapor is thicker, and takes less time to fill a much bigger bag. But, if you can take a couple of minutes (5 or so instead of 2-3) and use your head instead of your wallet, you can blow the same vapor density through an EQ.

Have never filled the volcano chamber myself, but also seems like I use less material with the EQ.

Other differences - you don't get the cool auto seal bag closures with the EQ (but a thumb, pencil eraser or any other plug works fine). There's no tweaking with the volcano. You get what you get and just follow the directions. With the EQ you can tweak like crazy and get all kinds of great results. The volcano only does bags. I've seen some boneheads try to hook up a cut off plastic bottle as a "mouthpiece" and grab vapor direct, but didn't seem to go too well other than cracking up everybody in the room. The EQ has a whip, and can be easily hooked up to a water piece. With this option, pretty much everybody on here puts the bags away unless they're having a party (or taking vapor to another room).

Bags are neat and can be fun. Plus, no learning curve for combusters who don't want to learn to vape. Not the owner usually, but guests who stop by. However for most, the novelty seems to wear off pretty quickly.

If they could be had for the same price, I think I'd still be happier with the EQ just for the whip availability and conserving material. At 1/4 the price? A no brainer IMO. $300-500 = a lot of vape-a-bles!

Just what I wanted to know. Another similar question. I currently use the Buddha with a glass bong as my main vape. Through very slow draws and low temps I get the thickest, tastiest hits that milk up the glass almost like smoke. How does the bag vapor density, when you know how to use the EQ, compare to such whip hits?

For the lack of easy valve on the EQ.. they don't make an accessory yet that does that?

I think I'm about to buy one. $140? is this the most recent model?

I have come from a volcano to q and the volcano is much better for bag only. If that is all you are looking to do than grab a volcano. The q is amazing that it can do both bags & whip and straight glass. With a bit of learning the q is a very good machine. I also have added a camelback hydration valve to my bag setup to close off the air path and open , very easy to do and $5. Bags are a bit of challenge to change on the q and volcano is very easy and quick at filling bags. Yes the q can be filled just as thick with vapor as volcano but it takes more time and finess.

That's a tough call from here because of so many variables. And, sounds like your ABV probably runs a good bit darker than mine. I don't know if you can do "almost like smoke", but from what I've seen nothing is really going to put that in a bag other than a lung (oven bag on 2 liter bottle) and a LOT of patience.

I use a friend's buddha pretty regularly. IME the Q isn't going to give as thick vapor as you can work out of that. Not in a bag or with the whip. But, I usually don't push mine that high. Know it is blasphemy to say it here in FC, but when I want smoke - I just smoke. Only on occasion if I'm not at a party or similar, but no big deal IMO. I vape because I want the vapor and only the high end (lower temp) actives. For almost free and about 10 minutes work you can build a lunger and draw whatever you want into it. I'm sure you could even adapt it to the buddha if you wanted to.

There are at least a few vids on youtube of filling EQ bags. You can see how thick/thin the vapor is pretty well. Here is a pretty good example.

That looks like latest model, but you may want to check on warranty coverage from Arizer - or be confident that seller will take care of you. I've had mine for a couple years (and have moved on to other vapes for the most part), so haven't kept up with such things. Should be plenty of info here in the thread, though.

What Newcastle posted will work, unless the basket screens don't fit but that piece should come with its own.

It's a litte wasteful, a little less so if you pull the elbow with the herb out of the bowl so it's not receiving al the residual heat as the Q cools down. With he cyclone bowl being so tall, the herb sits a good distance from the heater, so you only get vapor when pulling but all the heat underneath will slowly degrade the product , for sure, if it sits there for more than a few minutes with the heater running. Flavour will go first, then the "higher" components of the resin.

Definitely better to load in only as much as you 're going to use in one session, but very small amounts seem to not get vaped thoroughly.

Hi Guys. Been browsing FC for the last couple of months but now first time poster. Im wanting to buy a couple of solid Vaporizers. The last vaporizer I got was a pinnacle pro with water attachment. It lasted less than a month and due to water damage they wont replace it :(. Anyway currently not having a vaporizer now im looking at buying a plugin and a portable (for stealth). Im sold on the Magic flight Launch Box which is super cheap and by the looks of things reliable which is really important to me since the pinnacle.

The Plugin though is another story. Im split between The Plenty & the Extreme Q. I have never used whips or Bags before but ive got a feeling I will be using a whip alot more. I also use a little bit of liquid flavour with my herb as I like the feeling of thick cloud (almost chewable). Has anyone here used both of these vaporizers and might be able to help me out making my purchase considering the fact I could buy the Extreme Q & The Magic Flight Box for the same price as a Plenty?

I received this 18mm X 2 F/F adapter:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281298661281?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Guess it's not what DDave was recommending, as it grabs all six of my elbow screens upon removal. It does cut the time down and gives a much fuller cloud of vapor, but the elbow thing is a deal breaker. I can kind of see why he went to a DBV wand.
I may try this one after I hear back from the seller:

This wont be my first vaporizer. But im more excited for this than any of my other vapes only because ive been without for a couple of weeks after my pinnacle pro died and before that my mate dropped my butane lit vaponic glass vaporizer and smashed it. I've never really smoked but for a while between making bud muffins and my last vaporizer I smoked dubies and I won't go back there.

@Sungodv, did you try to flip the adapter over? I've seen reports of one side grabbing the screen and one not.‎
Yes, it was the second thing I tried. I may make and try one of those paper clip springs that I read about somebody here doing (for what, I can't remember) to push up on the elbow screen so it will come out with the whip elbow when removed. It's gonna cost almost as much to ship the damn adapter back to the seller as it did to buy it.

on that chance that it is, is the elbow screen very loose fitting in the elbow?

There is an adjustment that can be done on the screen itself to tighten it up.

This is the seller that DDave has posted under his information. I have ordered twice and both held a screen. The second time I ordered, two this time, they looked different but held a screen so I didn't care. The middle where the screen goes was square on the outside instead of pictured. Hard to explain, but what I am trying to say is I would order this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/18MM-FEMALE...328?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d4424440

Well I did try six (6) different elbow screens, but I do remember how some tightened up their screens and I have another way using a thick dowel to open up the screen to fit better. I'll see...

You know, from the picture in the listing, that looks like what I have, just a bit more costly. However, I wouldn't want something that didn't take a typical quarter size round screen. Squareness doesn't sound right.
Maybe I need to buy locally where I can try before I buy. Well, to a certain extent.

Modnote: Posts merged.

It won't let me edit my previous message, nor add a quote here, so please forgive me. If it doesn't grab the elbow screen I may consider it as I was so hoping this would work flawlessly. While the one I got doesn't grab the screen cold, it sure does while hot...once the steel of the screen expands a bit. Nevermind trying to use two screens with oil. I wonder if my rotary tool and carbide bits could do a bit of carving?

The DDave adapter should take at least a 1 inch screen. There is a void in the middle that hold a screen. If your using a quarter size screen that isn't the correct one. I found one locally and they wanted 49 dollars! I hope you have better luck.

Hey NC:
Yes, the screen is an inch...also the size of a quarter. Dollar that is. Hope I can find an adapter that works and is under $12 or take away material somewhere...
