Harvest time again! Which means popcorn buds getting thrown in the original bowl I use for large amounts of mediocre bud I don't really care about the taste off.

Found a new trick, for me anyway, I got some screens thrown in free with my vaporgenie and tried dropping one into the bowl on top of the load. It stopped any being sucked up into the elbow and seemed to give better extraction, I puffed away for quite a while then stirred once before I whacked it up to 260 and filled the bag, took some hits at 260 after the bag filled and they were pretty thick, all the abv dark brown even when I tipped it out.

That looks a gorgeous knife, I'm jealous. I love knives and edged weapons, unfortunately due to UK law the only legal ones to carry are folding unassisted with a blade 3 inches long or less that doesn't lock.
That Venom isn't even legal to import, gravity knives are completely banned.

Naturally, this doesn't actually stop knife crime at all, it just pisses off collectors.

I just had an interesting question posed on my youtube posting for the Arizer EQ mod. One person claims the top portion of their EQ is plastic. So, I did a double take and had to check mine, metal. Called a friend, his was metal.

Is there anyone in the FC Arizer Family who has either an EQ or VTower for which the very top piece is plastic?

2017 model V-tower. Black ring is plastic covering the metal.

So my first vape was an arizer air . Then a firefly 2 and now the Q . Wow I love it getting wrecked off it using cyclone bowl at 190 . It does seem to hit forever. I bought it originally for the balloons but the whip is so good I cant leave it . I've tried the elbow pack once. I will have to experiment more with it. Qhenninordered from arizer thwy sent the v tower i believe (i thought they just forgot to send remote) and I couldn't get fan to come on so hit it with the whip. After investigating realized they sent wrong one. I contacted them and they asked if I used it I said yes . They told me they couldn't refund my money because I used it. So after explaining that I dont belive I should have to verify with them once my order comes in that they sent me the right one, they agreed to take it back and sent me the right one and paid for shipping to return wrong one. Customer service was eventually good . They sent me with the correct vape whole new set of balloons whip ,cyclone ect.. for free and a glass jar . So in the end really happy with customer service and product quality. I haven't touched my portable vapes since this came in .

I've been doing a bunch of 'research' the past couple of months on desktop vapes. It's the gaping hole in my vape collection.

Ultimately it came down to a decision between log-vapes and balloon vapes and since I have an OG Solo and a Lil' Bud Classic I've decided that with a desktop I want to use them for balloons. And the EQ is the clear winner for value/price. I'm just not dropping $500 on a Volcano when I can get a device that works nearly as well for less than a third of that price. I know I'll have to learn to tie balloons but hell, I string a harp guitar and I'm getting a classical guitar so I think I can handle it.

Since I'm planning on mostly using the balloons with it is it still a good idea to get the @DDave mod kit?

imho yes. it enhances the device so much that it is a waste to buy the original device without the mod...

I always think it's worth getting @DDave mod kits. It enhances the performance of the Arizer EQ, taking it from really good to exceptional. It increases the versatility as well as performance. I can't think of the last time I used stock. Last Summer I bought my daughter in law an Arizer Extreme Q, and if I hadn't been so broke at the time, I would have ordered the @DDave mod at the same time . As it was, she got the biggest EQ kit he sells for her birthday in October. I'm happy knowing she has the shorty adapter and 18mm wand, I am thrilled she has the 14mm set so she can take a quick hit and get on with her day. I'm planning on getting her a waterpiece next, so she can take advantage of the waterpiece adapters, and if she ever comes across concentrates in her part of the country she will be ready. Knowing the @DDave kit, the Arizer Extreme Q felt like half a gift until I could complete it.
No criticism of the Arizer EQ. I love mine, and did even before I got the @DDave mods. I just love it more with the @DDave mods , and now it's True Love, Deep and Pure.

They're not like rubber balloons mate they're more like thin plastic bags. What you need is a bite valve for a hydration bladder to cover the end of the bag's glass mouthpiece.

For some reason this cracked me up. It had never occurred to me, a little childs' balloon. These kind of adult balloons are more fun, IMHO. I have the Q without the fan, it's just me, so I don't need balloons. I really love the whip, sitting around watching movies and sipping. Go with The DDave, you can't go wrong with these, makes a big difference.

Has anyone had their black plastic ring aroud the top crack?

i just got this thing a few weeks ago and I just noticed that black ring has a big crack and has split. I'm not sure if it came like that and I didn't notice, or just happened in teh short time I"ve had the EQ. its never been on for more than an hour max and sits in the same spot all the time...

yeah i mean i have the ddave kit and i didn't even notice functionally, but now that i noticed it, I can't stop looking at it. it bugs me that its only a couple weeks old and either had this crack and i didn't notice or developed it.

Of course. How else will you get a replacement? It's broke, it's under warranty, it bothers you. Use that wonderful warranty, then get back to enjoying your EQ.

Yes definitely, either way your unit is under warranty. It's defective. Use it or lose it is how I see it. You paid good money for it, we all did. It's you right as a consumer. Make them work for your money because if it was the other way around they wouldn't think twice about it.

I used a similar mod - not official DDave glass on glass adapter with mine. It made my unit start to smell like melting plastic, I think the bowl was too wide and the glass was almost touching that black circle. It didn't crack though. That's tough plastic. I can't remember how it was fixed in place but pretty sure your unit will have to be sent back.

Got my ddave v3 mod this week and i am blown away just how much it helps. I hooked up bags for the first time ever...

Holy shit! It hit me harder than anything has in a while now. 2 bags at 200c on low fan and i was falling asleep mid Mario Kart in no time.

so I talked with vendor and they offered to swap it out under warranty. Any tips for mailing a used vape? feeling a little sketch about mailing it back.

Surely it's only the main body you need to send back, not the bowls and whips? If they want the lot, give it a rinse with iso then hot water and it should be fine, there's nothing on the eq that's really going to be hard to clean. Rim inside the cyclone bowl is hardest part imo and that's not even hard.

yeah they said return "EVERYTHING"...i replied back even bags and hose etc?
they said: its their policy defective items go back to manufacturer, please send is the entire thing

i'm not sending the used bag... that seems ridiculous. should i keep the whip too? these seem almost like consumables

glass should be easy enough to clean, especially since i only used it a couple of times before my ddave kit arrived, and never looked back brb, gotta make stem milk from balloon stem.
