Ooops... I got this totally wrong. That makes sense of course... thanks for patiently pointing this outThe heat soak needs to be done with the glass parts.... not the herb...

Good call Vape Donkey 650 :-)Are you sure those chicken bags are safe for vaping? Could be food grade, but is the temperature rating high enough?
I think the consideration of the maximum temps is important when such a bag is sitting in an oven on a plus 200°C baking tray or furnace grate. When the air is hitting the bowl at 230°C, it will have cooled off already significantly when it leaves the material. I remember someone on a german forum measuring the temps after the bowl in a Volcano, and even in the highest setting the air entering the balloon was below 200°C, which all those bags can handle.
I don't know about those turkey bag, but 350°F is less than 180°C, so I wouldn't have picked these. The "orginal S&B" bags however are Toppits brand bags for preparing food in an oven. The first couple years they put the original Toppits branded packs in the cartons and sold them on their site, few years later they had their own brand. Bags look and feel the same, packing is exactly the same, except for the design, that clearly is a private label packing of the same product. They are meant to be used in an oven and nothing else, and they are rated 230°C which is nearly 450°F.So i stopped using the turkey bags, and i only use volcano bags for vaping now, either on my EQ or my volcano. These bags are properly rated for a high heat and are intended for vaping.
Hi guys,
Do you think that's possible to make an "allglass setup" to the Extrem Q using a drop down adapter instead of the whip tube ? Just like this (but with a "wider" one) :
And in the idea of getting a "Ddave mod like" (i'm in deep Europe) i was wondering using a watertool adapter instead of the EQ's native elbow, correct choice ? :
Thanks
well, you can try to use some of the Nectar Collectors from DHGate:Hi guys,

Yes goof Idea, but i'm still in fear putting water just on the E.Q., especially when i'm pretty high in the evening..
But anyway i'm gonna try this..
I'm a full ROOKIE however the Q is kicking my shiny metal ass!Its good to be quite discriminating with high standards when picking outside parts and materials for use with vaporizers. Even if rated to the proper temperature range you are using, that does not necessarily make it appropriate to use with vapes. In this case, we're talking a plastic bag you put in the oven to cook food then remove from your food and you eat (not the bag, duh, but probably eating micro particles of plastic, no big deal)
Just because the bag is safe for cooking, even with the heat losses and drop in temps from our flowers, to vape, to bag, stated above which should be within these bag's heat range, that does not make it appropriate to fill with hot gases and then inhale them. Thats not the intended use of these bags.
I pick this point specifically, because when i was starting vaping 6 years ago, with the volcano (still using it) i experimented using some reynolds 'turkey bags' as my vape bags. Rated to 350F, they were good because they are huge, and are already closed on one end so they're easier to install.
However, after filling and inhaling these turkey bags a few times, it became clear they were causing an irritating sensation in my throat and negatively affecting the flavor of the vape, especially when compared to S&B volcano bags.
So i stopped using the turkey bags, and i only use volcano bags for vaping now, either on my EQ or my volcano. These bags are properly rated for a high heat and are intended for vaping.
Probably inhaled quite a bit of nasty plastic crap with the turkey bags, but at least i learned something. And that experience didnt harm me nearly as bad as how the pax nearly destroyed my tonsil That is such a shitty, un-medical grade vape. Hate to open a can of worms here, i know the pax is pretty popular around here (unfortunately)
i also use the fan to preheat the unit before using... need to heat up the glass in order to get full power!I'm a full ROOKIE however the Q is kicking my shiny metal ass!
FUCK?
The Q is powerful @kellya86 .
@Dr. Soxhlet you weren't kidding?
I never tried bags however the fan is perfect for pushing through a water rig!
Keeping it real!
CIVILIZED = SOMETIMES?
however the fan is perfect for pushing through a water rig!
I like to mix it up I have a D020 and PWT. I use both at the end of tubing, sometimes with the fan, sometimes without. The bag gives you a totally different vaping experience. Yes the EQ with DDave kit is one of the best vapes going, especially if the price is considered. Reliability is also something to be consisered as well as easy parts accessability. I have had mine over five years now.I'm a full ROOKIE however the Q is kicking my shiny metal ass!

The EQ is a fantastic home unit, super robust and easy to use, plus it's serviceableAfter @kellya86 explained that heat soaking concept to me, I'm getting quite fond of this machine. It's less of a kerfuffle than DeVerdamper, and it looks so less methlabby, and the elbow viping is just perfectly my tiny little dose in two, three nice little hits. I bought a silicone tube which is way more flexible than the original one and the mouthpiece/bong-connector is a 14 mm male/male adapter. Nice-o. I can close the dome screens with a 12 mm screen (remember the combusting AmaZed one-hitter?) so I can spike my herbs with a little old fashioned dusty skuff. Or just have them lying around for that extra easy evening. Or pack a really small one-hitter. Nice-o indeed. I should give things more time before judging. This one's a keeper.

Turkey Bag's = I can tell many story's about them!I don't know about those turkey bag, but 350°F is less than 180°C, so I wouldn't have picked these. But you are right of course, better to be critical and not trying to save at the wrong end. With the Toppits brand I'd be sure enough to recommend them, but this doesn't go for all brands. I've also seen that the chicken bags I commented on are recommended for all sorts of different purposes, including deep freezing. Who knows if they are coated with something else and are more likely to cause a problem. You are right to point this out, thanks for that!
I'm glad it's working for you. I was surprised you didn't think it was good for solo users. To me (with Ddave's mods) it works better than my logs solo.After @kellya86 explained that heat soaking concept to me, I'm getting quite fond of this machine.
