My EQ is packed away for the moment because we are in the process of moving. Hopefully in a few weekends time I will be able to get it out and play around. I have some lipless 18mm basket screens to play with. That means less metal mass to heat up and adjustable bowl size. Should be fun.

The EQ was my first vape, got it about 2 and a half years ago. I managed to kick tobacco a couple months before that. Well done @kellya86! If I had got any other vape I dont think I would have been able to quit combusting. The EQ let me try everything vaping had to offer.

Another thing I like to do is, load the @DDave adapter, then load the basket, then load the section above the basket (ssv wand), then hit at 210.....

Do you put another screen above the herb in the wand and how far up the wand do you pack? I meant to ask before but I forgot. Does the inside of the wand get really messy?

The EQ let me try everything vaping had to offer.

I think this was key to helping me quit, having so much variety with the eq, to keep me busy and not get board and want to smoke....

@jimfish4130 the ssv wand has a small screen inserted into it, about and inch up....

@kellya86 is this using the tall or short ddave adapter? Doesn't look like there's much room for more than a sprinkle between the basket and adapter screens, I suppose the inch of herb above makes up fpr it though.

Put a screen just above the frosting on my 18mm wand, I'll switch out the 14mm kit and get a heat soak going

I have a SSV, and many others.

With the right modification's the Q is the best for the $!

@Dr. Soxhlet has a modification to make a Q work like a EVO + you have a fan.

I'm putting the Q back in rotation this week.

For the $ the Q is one of the best!

@jimfish4130 I use the short adapter, you will be surprised how much you can get in there... the tall would take way too much herb for my liking...

I tried a loose pack and a tighter pack after that, reloading when the herb at the bottom is very dark and the herb at the top has just a tiny bit of green left

Lay on my bed scrolling FC on my phone and ended up falling asleep almost right away, can't remember what time it was but my eyes are still pretty heavy

When I get more hash to squish I'll try it again with a blob of rosin near the top

Went to get a drink while the herb was heat soaking and clear condensation was starting to slowly run down the wall of the wand when I came back

Condensation in the wand is how @CuckFumbustion knows it's time to rip.

The lipless basket screens came from Alan who makes the heat island. Hopefully I'll get to play with them soon.

@kellya86 I'm sure you would be able to fashion a screen press. Maybe a piece of timber with a hole bored in it and a correct sized dowel? Lay a flat round screen over the hole, position the dowel on top and smack with a hammer.

Or maybe 2 blocks of timber with holes all the way through? Sandwich the screen between the 2 blocks and have a dowel cut to length. Stick it in the vice and tighten it up. This way the dowel has a guide

Are those little things that come with the EQ with the letters/numbers printed on them safe to expose to high levels of heat in a vapor path? Want to use one as a mouthpiece for my other vape.

It's just small pieces of the same tubing attached to the extreme q in this picture. I've used it for years but in a perfect world there is better tubing to use. At this point if I can't use all glass I would prefer silicone to this unknown (cheap) tubing.

Right I'm assuming your meaning the pvc tubing.....it must be safe, I don't think arizer would have used it for so long if it wasnt....

They recently swapped from pvc to silicone tube.... but I think this is more for flexibility and ease of use.....

Silicone tube is cheap enough, I'd suggest buying a meter or platinum cured silicon....

I actually have a used EQ coming from a fellow member tomorrow that I purchased largely because of Arizer's new all glass on glass system. So it's not just that the bags are tied but that they're tied to a 10mm male glass fitting. Once filled it's an easy detatch from the whip and into a 14/10 reducer to some water. Sit and sip...
