Hi,

I've been using my Extreme Q exclusively for a few months now and I want to get more out of it. You guys have suggested some great little addons particularly the ELBs and the little replacement glass bowl.

Does anyone know of a hookup for the ELBs in the uk? I've been checking Vapefiends and it's been out of stock there for a few weeks now.

Also, am I right in thinking the ELBs will fit with the 18mm glass bowl found on eBay?

Still got a bit more reading to do but any help is much appreciated.

I am surprised not many people mod the fan. If anyone has let me know I am interested in upgrading the fan in the Q. I took mine apart they come apart very easy and the fan in mine is a Brushless Delta Electronics DC BFB0412HA blower fan. Sort of happy I did this the fan was full of old herb and the top of the fan comes completely off. This one on ebay http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Black-Brushl...411?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4180302643 seems like it would be better it A looks bigger and the output seems to match the hole size of the Q the fan they give the whole back is open. The cool thing is it seems like the Q can except thicker fans without and issue as long as the mounting holes line up all should be good. I just applied some tape to cover all but the hole and it seems the fan has improved a bit.

@timebomb I am not sure were you can order them but I quit using them. I was not getting dark ABV and if I turned it up it didn't taste as good. I get huge vapor from the wand and whip. The clouds are much larger than I was getting with elbow +ELB's.I think if I was going to vaporbong now I would use the wand+whip+elbow to waterpath. You can get the same results without using the ELB's. For the price of ELB's you can purchase a wand. Just my :2c: on that.

@VapeAir 2000 the only time I use the fan is to warm up the wand. I put the wand on an already warm unit and hit the fan on #2. GTG in a couple minutes. I don't think the fan needs to be changed for me but others use it differently. I think there is a fine line between a fan helping heat and hurting. Too much air might cool things down. I could be wrong.......it happens.:p

Just ordered the deface adapter looking for the cheapest ssv gg wand kit for uk delivery.

Does anyone know if I can order the da Buddha gg wand kit?

It's cheaper and I can get it in green :D

you might have to fiddle with the eq elbow screen to make it fit tightly, but it will work. the adapter goes right on top of the heater cover. Put a screen inside the adapter to prevent herb from spilling onto the heating element. Put your herb inside the dbv wand and cap it with an eq elbow screen

they're very close but the inner diameter of the ssv wand is slightly more narrow than the dbv so that the vapor might be focused a little more tightly with the ssv. Also the ssv bowl is a little deeper. I'll have to do more experimenting with the dbv wand in the eq, but my initial thought is that there's not a lot of difference

Past couple of nights I've been using the FF 18mm/double D Dave with an elbow screen as bowl screen with the other elbow screen in the elbow. Like an box. Does well enough for me. I may get some black shrink wrap and do the top of the bowl and see how that works.
Arizer really needs to redo their Cyclone/Tuff bowls. :cuss: At least make the bottom part shorter so everything is closer to the heater.

Anyone know where I can buy the dome screens in packs larger than 2 pieces? ....more is better!

Preferably in Euroland, but the US is fine if nowhere else.

I have found a european source for the f/f adapter! And the best part is they do this kind of custom glassware on demand!

Guys. I used a cigarette outlet plug in that transforms it into a 12V traditional plug in when i was in my frineds minivan with tinted back windows. We then plugged in the extreme q to it and filled up bags with it for a couple hour! We also ran the balloon through water in an ashcatcher with j hook which produces almost odorless vapor, (i say oderless). My friend also had an ecig pen with no nicotine, but pineapple flavored e juice. Since we had the ecig and tinted windows theres no way a cop could search the car since it didn't smell and we could get everything out of plain sight with a lot of time to spare. we would just say we were hukapenning and thats why the car is boxed with vapor.

just thought id let the world know that it is easy to extreme q in a car if you have the transformer and an ecig and a bubbler. its worth it!

I got the F/F adapter in the mail. It is the correct one that is sought after over the models without the ridge for a screen. However, 1 inch screens don't seem to provide a sufficient seal to keep any herb I would load in it like I would the cyclone bowl. I am going to play around with it today.

I don't fill the bowl so I don't really need a screen. If you use the SSV wand nothing falls down. I am not sure why you doubt the adapter. If you are using it like the cyclone bowl you will be disappointed I think. I get about 10 quality hits off this setup. I like 207*c and I leave it there. The first three draws are wonderfull and the 2nd-4th will produce clouds as large as a combustion cloud. As it reduces in vapor I take the wand out and rap it 7 times on a soft surface. I hit a hanging fabric shoe rack, I'm in the closet/vaper room. I find that rapping the wand shakes/stirs it enough to give a few more really good hits. I have a rule that if I do this I have to take three draws. The first after the shake will be larger but the second and third usually are much larger. Your results will vary. I am about to order an E-Nano but I really can't see it performing better than my EQ performs with this mod. Time will tell because I really want to try the Nano.

@YetAnotherUsername that pic you posted doesn't look like it would hold a screen. The middle of this one is hollow and will hold a 1 inch screen loosely.

As I said above......it won't. The DDave adapter is to be used with elbow packs ELB's or the all mighty SSV wand. I suggest you read some of DDaves information. I think you are taking one part of the equation and expecting it to work. I only use it with the SSV wand. If I elbow pack some will fall on the screen and you don't want to pick that hot sucker up to dump without test tube holders. So to keep from doing all that I don't elbow pack. ELB's work fine but don't get the results of the wand. So basically you are at the doorstep @marcusog. You need either to be careful doing elbow packs or I would suggest getting the wand. Mothers day sales this weekend should results in some savings.

After switching to the F/F (DDave Adapter), I also switched over to using a Test Tube Holding Clamp in favor of going back to shrink wrapping the adapter to avoid being burnt by a hot adapter. The clamp can be left on the adapter at all times, as it's made to heat the contents of a test tube while suspended over a burner, never getting to hot to hold.

It was very very inexpensive on ebay. Hope this helps! I've included pics of the clamp in past postings.

From what I've heard from others and same for mine, a 1" adapter or equivalent size of a US Quarter work well. In my adapter, I can use that size screen and use the adapter to hold the herbs without them falling to the heater below... (unfortunately, there seem to be many different versions of the adapter sold).

I got the adapter and stock screen fits perfectly. You really can't get any closer to the heater. But why has my weed guy turned off his phone? Damn you Universe!

When I do test it I'll use a bubbler in a following manner: inhaling, glass gets cloudy, release the carb. This way I believe I will be able to measure the efficiency of extraction no matter what temperature is set. Or I'll be close, this isn't exact science. I have a m/m adapter which I will use like you use the wand.

I'm thinking about comparing three scenarios: f/f elbow pack, m/m elbow pack, cyclone (tuff) elbow pack. All glass preheated and indoors. Do you guys agree?
