The vape isn't hot at the gong joint. You definitely should test the water level in any HT before installing it on the Cloud. You don't want any coming out the bottom or the top. A nice easy draw on the HT only, where the water stays put, assures you that it's safe to use with the vape.Vessel said:Would/Could this ever possibly cause the glass to break from putting it on a hot cloud/evo vaporizer.
I would love to intern with you guys and just help assemble new vapes!
Plus how special would it be to have an evo you made yourself!
A man can dream

Ohhh the painful memories . . . yeah I had the 2 together and hit the top half on the edge of the sink while inverting to drain. Here is a before shot . . .

I THOUGHT YOU WERE A DIRTY BASTARD!Just received in my e-mail box . . .
I'm a bit confused in regards to the timeline and some of the "updates" we've been given recently.
On November 13th we were told all IGG orders would be fulfilled within "a few weeks". Exactly 7 days later "a few weeks" suddenly became "hopefully before Christmas". So it sounds like something happened during the 13th -21st that caused over a month long delay in fulfilling IGG orders, yet we've been told nothing in regards to what actually caused this seemingly unexpected delay.
Add in the fact that StoneMonkey said they were able to push out 3 times as many units last week (which is the same week this unexpected delay arose, apparently) and it really just doesn't make sense, at least not with the information we've been given. Especially when we're told yesterday that the "hold up" is just building units.

Fanatic, bent neck, fairly early in the campaign. However, the LE Vectra enclosures were, um, delayed for a bit. Standard enclosures have been shipping already. What perk level are you t-dub?
As we get closer to Thanksgiving, the VapeXhale team is hard at work assembling Cloud EVOs for shipment. We have been tweaking our manufacturing process ever so slightly in order to increase capacity while still ensuring and maintaining our high quality standards.
For our international customers, we have been testing PCBs and have had to swap out a few components that just weren't compatible. This is an on-going process of testing and re-testing. As soon as we finalize the plan, it takes 10 working days to get the correct PCB and once we get those, it will be very easy to assemble and ship out your units.
We love reading and hearing about the early reviews. If you want to send your experiences to us, please feel free to emailreviews@vapexhale.com
Everyone, please be thankful for your friends and loved ones and that we live in a time where vaporizers can be crowdfunded. Enough updating for me, back to work, and happy holidays!
Fanatic, Straight. Our enclosures were delayed but it will be worth it.

Oh such sweetness . . .
Fanatic, straight-neck, early in campaign
Maybe a recap will help . . . we were also told that VXL is continuously re-tooling its assembly processes, which is what has enabled them to increase the size of the production batches. (Shipments are consequently going out in batches, as well.) Shipments began on Oct 31. It's been 2 weeks since the 13th. IIRC last week ~80 units shipped; in the first weeks the assembly lots were quite small as VXL was not only extensively testing but also collecting feedback on each batch shipped. Production worked last week-end right up through yesterday evening past midnight (note shipment date above) to push out the Fanatic LE's (which had been delayed by a change in enclosure material, discussed here earlier). There have been a substantial number of pre-orders on top of the campaign contributions. International units are pending testing which is still underway. Assembly process engineering and testing continues. By the way, most of the campaign contributors are not here on FC.
IME this is all pretty much going as expected, except for the LE delay. With this company re-boot, VXL brought the manufacturing in-house. Setting up and refining a production line is an intensive engineering activity which is iterative and time-consuming, as is the international testing. The campaign backlog grew with the additional pre-orders. The production processes appear to be stable and VXL is now just working down the backlog, save for the pending international units. But this early in the game the complexion of things is still evolving and so any shipment schedule forecast (which by definition is always wrong) will continually change.
I agree that announcing a jump of potentially a month is a bit of a jolt. But again, as expected the status has been and is still somewhat fluid. And VXL is consciously trying to under-promise and over-deliver. But you have a point and as SM acknowledged, the communication needs to be more regular (I've suggested a periodic progress report rather than extemporaneous snippets). From what I've seen though, things are working as we hoped (or if you were an indiegogo contributor, working as we gambled things would) and it is likely that VXL will have worked down its backlog by next month.
Personally speaking, I'm pleased with the status. SM is extremely focused and quite determined to not repeat mistakes made with the first generation. Units are receiving rave reviews. There have been very few failed units, and VXL has fiercely jumped on each incident to understand and remedy the problem immediately. The response to the campaign exceeded expectations, as have the pre-orders; adding to the backlog this way is a great omen for VXL and Cloud owners.
I'm a Fanatic and just now my EVO shipped. Well worth the wait.
EVO should be here on Monday or Tuesday! Yeah! So very excited! (Fanatic Bent Neck)
