sweet vid AZN - i noticed what looked like a mark from the oil on the ti pad... is that a burn mark, residue mark, etc etc?

I have read that ti tastes better than glass but have also read conflicting reports of ti not supposed to being heated to that temperature and some sort of oxidation/offgassing will occur.

can anyone confirm/deny this or shed some additional knowledge?

I can neither confirm or deny this but what I do know is that there's two main grades of ti. All of the smoking devices use grade two which is more resiliant and much harder to work with. I never have have heard anything like that and there's alot of people usin it so I'm not sure. I haven't even tried my glass nails yet....

The mark you see is a residue mark, when the pad is reheated most of it is burned off, eventually you have a "seasoned" area on the pad, this "seasoning" if you will is what is responsible for the better taste of the ti.

Honestly i have heard no reports of ti offing gasses and would really not be worried, people have been heating ti for a long time now and if their was a problem it would be pretty widespread imo.

I have no links to back any of this up and its all IMO/IME, if Spidey wants to come drop some knowledge on this bitch that would be great.

waiting on new ti to rewrap the dosa unit with. gonna start using the clear inline if nobody picks it up soon too, makes a really great travel piece. Got word from VG today that he is alive and kicking... still on antibiotics but feeling better he says. He also told me that he hasn't forgot about me and is working on my stuff, I cant wait!

yeah, the VG oil rig should be sick... if anybody's got the coin to drop on a sick oil rig, keep a lookout over @ aqualabtechnologies... they're supposedly getting some worked versions of the ones they have listed.

rewrapped the curve.. need a new bike spoke, that shit was ridiculous... i rebent the one that came with the dosa unit... it's just not long enough. did as best as I could though, the .063 is nice.

Timing is getting better! I'm loving the .063, Surv should have his new curve now if not real soon? I gotta hit up Dosa for my ti, if you need bike spokes, hit me up... i ordered 75 of them lol. Just LMK how many you want, and cover shipping and I'll get em out. Actually you might just be better off buying them at the bikeshop but whatever lol. Oil'd up, rambling.. on with the pics.

I did get my new dosa but its actually being replaced immediately with a kut curve, which is what i am now waiting on.

Out of oil now but i should be making some more today, ill have to take some pics / vids to tide everyone over until my kut comes.

My new thick dosa curve is going to a friend of mine and my original will be going up on here as soon as i get my kut.

Nothing wrong with the dosa, just getting replaced with a kut curve.

I think i am on the list for a whole unit, only time will tell.
