Altoids tin, that's genius. :science:
I need to credit @ChooChooCharlie for suggesting the small altoids tin years ago.
I really miss having him around here, wish that someday he might return, always wish him the best.
And, of course, there's the Delta3dStudios insert, to hold 8 pots in a larger altoids tin.

For either tin, I add that thin piece of cardboard (with double sided tape) to the inner lid to form a gasket seal on the full pots.

I also use the click-on, click-off method.
I want to add that I try to do the "off" click a second or two before the end of the draw. It helps to cool the heater and to clear any vapor from the stem.

Happy so far to report that today one of our Bowle2's survived a drop, of about 42", to a wood floor. May have put a small dent in the floor (Southern Yellow Pine) but no apparent problem for the Bowle.
I'm kinda pleasantly surprised!

Okay, yeah it was me, I dropped it; prolly shouldn't try to carry two at once in the same hand...

At the very least, I admire your confession to your FC family members!
I'm kinda pleasantly surprised!
I also am more than pleasantly surprised, and joyous for the way the Universe guided,
and granted your tool exclusive passage through it's dangerous transport to the Southern Yellow Pine landing point.
Congratulations on the Universes intervention on your behalf!

Well just had a frightening experience with my TB2. I took the unit off the charging cable, turned it on to clear out a bowl, and instead of the blue light around the base I saw an orange one, and the unit refused to stop heating. It got very hot, and eventually turned itself off, but was very concerning. Waiting for it to cool and reaching out for a warranty.
Took a bit because I was across the country, but finally got my TB2 shipped back to the manufacturer and looks like it arrived today. Hoping for a decently fast turnaround based on others' experiences, and ideally would love to hear what they learn by looking at my unit. Really curious what happened.

Reporting back to say that my Bowle did not survive the drop for more than a couple of bowls.
The very next time it was put on its charger, all 5 lights came on, now the buttons get no response at all.
I will throw myself on the mercy of the Tafee team.
Congratulations on the Universes intervention on your behalf!
The Universe giveth and the Universe taketh away...
On balance I'd have to admit being, overall, happy with the arrangement!

Just had a heavenly sesh with the Bowle 2. I started on level two and stayed there for about 3 minutes, then stepped to level 3 for another 3 min to finish things off. Incredibly tasty! I never stir but I stop to rotate the pot mid session. Sometimes I'm not sure it adds any value because the Bowle seems to extract pretty damn evenly.

I wanted to revisit my initial comments - and as usual I probably should have waited at least two weeks (daily end of day user) of proper use to give my thoughts. I’ve had no more issues with extraction or producing vapor - whatever “technique” was needed I have found and the device has been an absolute delight to use. I certainly could use my tornado if I wanted to be super blasted but I am completely e joying the effects and process with the bowle. Also, I must confess, a new appreciation for my venty. Despite the shitty corporate they are now, I really enjoy that device as well. I stopped using it for awhile but I find it’s great for my portable needs. The bowle at home is certainly king though. The flavor is unmatched. I hope to still use my tornando and vapman but it’s been very hard to put down the bowle when I can get supreme flavor and great clouds with a single click in a second or two. Thanks guys and cheers. Super Bowl and potters unite.

Glad you got it all figured out! The Bowle is really impressing me too. It has the speed of a cart with the flavor of a top tier dry herb vape. It's a tough combo to beat. Also it's easy to maintain and quick to load so ... yeah... good stuff!

A replacement puck unit is on its way to me now! Tafee support, as expected, has been amazing. They said they need to spend more time investigating what happened with my unit, going to periodically follow up with them to see what they learn.

I got my Original V1 Tafée Bowle on New Years 2021
It has seen a great deal of use, and still takes me through at least 3 sessions before I must charge.
The hits are still perfect at every level from 1 to 4
I made a session video of 3 hits....
One at "1", one at "2", and finally a hit at "3".
I did not do a hit at level 4 for this video, knowing that you professional Vaporists will be able to extrapolate what a monster hit it would have been at level "4".

I've had another terrific customer service experience.
Reported here that I dropped the Bowle and it stopped working.

My email to them literally had the subject line "Oops, I dropped my Bowle!"

It's been repaired and is on its way back to me. I agreed to pay shipping boh ways, which was discounted, and they provided a shipping label for the return.
In total, $35.
Once again, exceeding expectations.

Many thanks to the nice folks at Tafee!

They did say that the puck was repaired, not having to send a new piece.
I really like the fact that they repair when they can, not just toss it and replace with new.

The Potter is offered in both the silver and green. The Bowle in silver only from what I understand. I really would like a matte or satin black puck. The stems though come in the Bowle finish as well as a machined finish which looks more natural.

Chasing that smooth vapor
My latest replacement Bowle 2 came with a sticker slapped on the device, said something like, 'never power the heater on without drawing.' From that I also surmise that its not good to let heater run-on at the end, with no draw happening.
So then it is not recommended to perform a burn-off when you first receive the device?

In my experience, having had 4 new and a few replacements, there is no need for any burnoff.
In the user guide there is certainly no recommendation for a burnoff. And it is repeated there that the power should not be activated without drawing.
I suppose it could be performed by blowing into the air intake hole while powering up the heater, but it's really not needed.

Just had a Bowle full of Raspberry Cough that was ridiculously good. I've had the Bowle2 for a while now and I'm settling in on my favorite ways to use the device. It just gets better and better.

Lately I've been starting at level 3 and taking pipe puffs the whole way through for the first couple of draws. You have to be quick with them in succession or else the heater will time out after sensing no draw. This gets my nose involved and really helps me taste all those great terps. Who would've guessed anodized aluminum and a silicone mouthpiece could taste this good?!

Then I'll move to level 4 or 5 and take powerful draws for about 8-10sec or so. I'll have the heater engaged for half of the draw and usually I can guess where to shut it off to preserve my throat from the higher temps as I clear the hit.

As a self-professed "taster" I've always searched for "neutral" materials like glass and ceramics that I know preserve taste but the Bowle's taste is impressive. I don't know if it's the ceramic bowls, the uber-short distance from your flower to the heater or the short vapor path but something is generating great taste and extraction. Loving it.

Holy shit guys, I just laid down the coin for one. I was skeptical for a while, and used to make fun of this thing. But it's hard to argue with all the positive reviews. It seems to check a ton of boxes for me, plus my daily driver is out for repair and it might be a long while. I need something to step in and expertly plow through some bud for me. If it passes muster, and I expect it will, it will platoon along side my TM2.

Now I have to go and think of how I'm gonna tell my wife what I just spent.

It’s not a spending, it’s an investment on your health. Vapour, although less than smoke, can result in dry mouth and a dry mouth leads to bad teeth, which then take a toll in your heart. The convenience of having a glass of water, when you’re high as balls and the sober your forgot to pour that tasty drink, is unbeatable and a constant reminder to self hydrate. Longevity has not price. If your wife complains about it, she obviously wants you dead.

I hope you will find what most of us in here have found. This is a pretty great vape. I never thought a mostly metal and silicone device would become one of the vapes I look to when I'm tasting a new strain. Congrats!

Thanks guys.
These days, the main things for me are coolness in the vapor, terp flavor, and short effective sessions when needed. I need to vape outside and it's pretty damn cold in the winter. I like a vape that doesn't burn your throat, so I'll prob be setting it on the first or second setting. I love to taste my herb so low temp hits are my method.
I like what @TigoleBitties has to say about starting with pipe or cigar puffs to taste those low-temp terps. Also love the on-demand mode and generally don't buy vapes that remain in hot session mode.

Is there a big difference in cooling between the stubby and the short stem?

I'm gonna bookmark that tracking number as soon as it gets shipped. ;)

@vapviking Me too!!!

New user here...I stuck my finger in my brand new Bowle and broke a sensor—a costly lesson from not reading and following the user guide. Thankfully Tafée was able to service the device.

I like how they emphasize repairing over simply sending a replacement.
It's good to know that Bowle is built to be serviced and not destined for landfills.

In my device received from their servicing department there was a sticker saying "activating the device without inhaling will damage it and void my warranty".
I also received an email detailing a few tips for longevity without problems.

"NEVER ACTIVATE HEATER WITHOUT ACTIVE AIR CIRCULATION.

- It is most important that you avoid activating the device without inhaling as doing so will damage your device and void your warranty"
.

They go on to say they will always service devices no matter the malfunction but it is always nice to try to prevent requiring servicing.

@Vaptic_Feedback This may be relevant to your question about burn-off.

"NO BURN OFF ADVISED

- You never need to perform any burn-off operation upon receipt of your device. Bowle undergoes a complete performance test after assembly.
Attempting or performing a burn-off by activating your device without active airflow circulation will damage your device and void your warranty.

If you inadvertently activate the heater at any point (for example, by pressing only the Large Fire Button by mistake without intention to inhale, once the oven activates, or if the Green LED's or oven remain on longer than 3 seconds without airflow), you must quickly click the "Large Fire Button" ONCE to immediately shut down the heating cycle"
.

@TigoleBitties This may be relevant to your style of use..
@BabyFacedFinster This may be relevant to know too.

NEVER OPERATE WITH PUFF STYLE USE:

Bowle needs a constant steady airflow to maintain its performance. While the device can adapt to airflow variance in use, deliberately "puffing" or "cigar-puffing" your device serves no purpose in aiding any performance gain to the purely convective heating system. Doing Cigar style puffs places unnecessary dynamic strain on components which will lead to damage or failure".

CHARGING
.
This one was noteworthy as I originally thought my device was malfunctioning during charge.

It turns out that if you lock your device ( 3 quick clicks of the large "fire" button) before charging it, the LED indicator will dispaly the current charging level and then it will shut off after a minute or two while it is still connected to charge.

If you want your Bowle to always indicate its charge level, you must connect it to charge while it is unlocked.
Their reason is that this reduces light pollution for those charging the device in a dark room... I completely know this as I hate those lights on electronics flashing while I try to sleep.

Oh...they also advise..... guidelines to maintain healthy long-term battery cells advise against completely depleting your battery, especially early on in the life of the device.

"High-discharge cells, like the ones in electric vehicles and similar to those in your device, suffer degradation following repeated full discharges".

They recommend charging the Bowle Series II when you see the battery level between 1-2 bars, indicating 20%-40% battery capacity remaining. You can charge the Bowle Series II to full, as they have built-in protections to prevent overcharging the device.
Like any battery operated device they advise against charging the device unattended for an extended period i.e overnight.

To check the battery life on the Bowle Series II, simply "click and release" both buttons together quickly before the start of a session.

If you will not use your device for an extended period or before whenever travelling, please lock it by quickly clicking both the "LARGE and SMALL" buttons simultaneously 5 times. You can confirm the device is in "Locked Out - Shipping Mode" if you cannot power on the device with 3 fast clicks of the large/fire button).

The Bowle can then only be awakened by connecting it to a charging source when in locked out-shipping mode.
This will also prevent accidental activation if paced inside a travel luggage.

For a simple device to operate, there seems to be some knowledge needed to maintain.
But understandably, after dropping dollars on any product it makes sense to try to keep it operating optimally by reviewing operating tips recommended.
