Greetings Vitolo,Happy New Year to all!
Yeah this is good advice. I should've thanked you for it before as I've been careful to clear my hits.
One thing I do find a bit fiddly is the ceramic pots.
Wish list:
- A good case and/or sleeve is on my list next. I wonder how compact one could be and what good ideas people will come up with.
If it was getting too hot and you took notice, why didn't you try turning it off & then turning it back on after a while? If something goes into thermal runaway never let it go.Well just had a frightening experience with my TB2. I took the unit off the charging cable, turned it on to clear out a bowl, and instead of the blue light around the base I saw an orange one, and the unit refused to stop heating. It got very hot, and eventually turned itself off, but was very concerning. Waiting for it to cool and reaching out for a warranty.
The unit would not turn off, of course I attempted to turn it off, I could have made that clearer though. None of the buttons were responsive. The unit cannot be currently turned on, I think my unit is fully dead now.If it was getting too hot and you took notice, why didn't you try turning it off & then turning it back on after a while? Many times devices will reset themselves upon power up. Is orange light mentioned in the manual? It may have gone into some funky mode inadvertently. What happens when you go to turn it on now?
There may be some type of reset that can be initiated by the user if you knew what that was. I had a similar problem with my PAX and it would never got to Ready. There is a hidden reset action that you can take with PAX Plus and that resolved the problem for me.
Sad story, indeed. All in all a poor show! none of the tafee bowle series 2s have lasted longer than 10 weeks
Yea I think I will do this cover both bases.Sad story, indeed.
I think in addition to your warranty procedure with Vapfiend, you should have concurrent conversation with "support" at Tafee.
Belt and suspenders approach.
Really sorry to hear about your experience. The unit would not turn off, of course I attempted to turn it off, I could have made that clearer though. None of the buttons were responsive. The unit cannot be currently turned on, I think my unit is fully dead now.
No response, tried leaving it charging for a while and then attempted again and no go.Really sorry to hear about your experience.
You mention that the buttons are unresponsive but does it respond to the hard reset procedure?
- unplug from charger
- click both buttons simultaneously 5 times in rapid succession
- plug back into charger
That sucks. Definitely sounds like you'll need support from Tafee. Hope it all works outNo response, tried leaving it charging for a while and then attempted again and no go.
Wow. Sucks to see this too. I had heard nothing but good things about the series 2 until this. Hope one of Tafee or Vapefiend takes care of you.Saw the issues seemed to be resolved but clearly not
Just a bad experience all round
I was hoping for a straight swap from vapefiend but I can see them trying to have this sent off
Thank you! I’m hoping vapefiend will get this sorted. They have been decent with thing like this in the past. That sucks. Definitely sounds like you'll need support from Tafee. Hope it all works out

Sorry i think i slightly misunderstood your original post. Does this unit have removable batteries? Are they potentially fried? The unit would not turn off, of course I attempted to turn it off, I could have made that clearer though. None of the buttons were responsive.
