I checked mine before first use and the coils were like you see in the pix, no alignment needed.Look's like it's getting a lot break in.
Did you do any adjustments on yours? Mine where a tad unleveled. I think might have bumped coils pulling it off the deck. Easy fix but but worth a check if getting any hot spots.
What materials are suitable for user made coils? At some point I'd like to make my own.Hm I had no luck when I tested those notch coils back then in the BULLI thread... still have a pack laying around unused.
Maybe I should give them a second chance...
Thank you, I'll check those out. I've been looking around for other coil making resources and found the following:Various grades of stainless steel work well, nickel and titanium also. Check the BULLI and Project threads in the DIY subforum for inspiration!
I'm very much a noobie when it comes to TC 510 Box Mods, but I love the idea of the Stem Pod. I've sent this question in to the Modpod folks through their site, but can anyone here recommend a 510 box mod that would be suitable for the Stem Pod-I don't even know the right terminology to Google.
Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers
What stem is that? Here's a couple good links for mods

Just picked this up for my trip. Haven't used long enough to really comment. Right off the bat I do like how it fire's. Instead of button you squeeze it to fire.
Going drop Arctic Fox on it see how ell it does. Smaller than expected.
Wismec Sinuous P80

Ah ok I seeJust a small glass stem with rubber cover. The silver ring just something that had laying around.
Here's it without the ring attached. The other piece I use to cap the stem.
Stempod running good on new mod. Still messing with AF on TC adjustment but happy with the mod. Well other than the screen. It's crooked on it so might need to contact seller.
Really liking the fire method on this mod. It's the side screen panel you squeeze on it to fire. Makes palming it easier since don't need press a button.
Dan published an IG stream 2 hours ago. He shows off a prototype of a 18mm male to 14mm female stem adapter. At the end of the stream he discusses his plans for the SP, coils, gaskets & a whole bunch of interesting in the know stuff. Check it out if you get the chance.
Stainless steel is your best bet atm. Look into getting a coil master kit if you do get into making your own.At some point I'd like to make my own.
Thats the mod that Dan suggested I get for the Stempod. I also have the evic vtc dual for more power and just received the Steam Engine from Vapeman which is a DNA 75. I ordered on Thursday evening and it arrived in Socal delivered in the am all the way from china. Thanks to who ever posted that link.
Ha ha oh just a random ring eh?Just a small glass stem with rubber cover. The silver ring just something that had laying around.

That's a good looking rig, please let us know what kind of battery life you get. My SP on the Battlestar Mini with a newish Samsung 25R gets me three long sessions, can't get through a fourth.Just picked this up for my trip. Haven't used long enough to really comment. Yes, x100.Really wish there was an alternate way to get this kind of information. I deleted my IG account a bit ago and am not interested in creating a new one just to view stories.
Thanks. I've read that for a mod's TC mode to work well it needs a wire with a higher TCR value, SS is preferred over Kanthal for example. Here's a list of TCR values for different metals with several types of SS. Are they all suitable for our use, generally speaking?Stainless steel is your best bet atm. I just went outside to use my stempod, and it wasn’t working for some reason.. upon further inspection, one of the coils appears to have crumbled in the middle, prohibiting either cool to function. I’m honestly super surprised that the device is already broken within only 4 uses. I was hoping to test it more next week, but I guess that’ll now depend on when I can get new coils shipped..Stainless steel is your best bet atm. $12.20 for me with shipping. So it could make sense to order also some coils as replacement especially as an international customer?
Dan, do you offer them and how much are they?

In order to simply reinstall new coils from @supershredderdan ‘s site, do I need any special tools aside from tweezers/an Alan wrench? I’m hoping to not spend too much more money for a little while.
