irst off, thank you for repairing my SSV last time. Unfortunately, it did not help that much. The ceramic rod does not get hot enough to vaporize properly (like my Mighty, Crafty, Plenty, Aorvapoes, DaVincis … shall I go on?

The heater control knob has no retaining nut and the knob is totally loose in the unit.

The fans do not blow air as forceful as when new,

I bought the DDave Omega- it looks awesome, but I need something to use it on.
Can you help, short of me purchasing another unit?

I just opened my new wand and i realized why i was having trouble with scooby snacks before, the spot where the screen sits was waaaayyyy too wide and the screen moved around when even flat lol

About to break in this wand and try out these rubies for the first time!!

Its been a blast testing out the super sv with rubies, I usually save the larger diameter wand for CBD flower. I have to break this baby back out tonight.

Sorry I did not see this till now. Yes please call 719-570-9928 and we can help.

Nope and since I have the super, 2 packs of rubies from vgoodiez wasn't quite enough so I tossed some boro bbs in there too. Have left it on past 12:00 overnight sometimes and the bbs are still shaking around.
If you contact us we can get you our new enhancer. I would be willing to get that to you for free since you already have a SUP.

I have the heater cover that comes from the LSV. With the ground glass 19mm connection and one of those top hat - bucket screens like the stempod SI uses. at the end of the whip, I pack it then a little pack it down just a bit ( makes it super efficient ) so instead of packing way down in the stem the screen at the end of the whip now the bucket screen moved it much closer to the heater. I noticed that the straight air path gives me a better hit than the 90° angle ground glass heater cover.
I wish I understood this better, as I need to move the Omega basket closer to the heater myself. This should not be th case, I presume? The standard spherical ground glaSs 14mm adapter with recess should be adequate in a functioning machine, right?

I will know for sure when my replacement / upgrade SSV Waverider arrives next week `
Much thanks to Steve and Kevin.

Regarding all the millions Elev8 could make with the right marketing team, maybe the owner does not want that lifestyle? Not everyone is on a never ending quest to billionairedom. Remember the line from the rolling Stones about having what you need.
There comes a point when a sane person has all the cash flow they need without the headache of continuous growth. Perhaps one is insatiable? Is that normal? I say smoke more weed and fix that ridiculous notion that you need it ALL ASAP before you too are FUBAR.

Funny then that I heard 420vapezone is going to soon retire the SSV43 from duty for almost that reason! He seems to be getting through too much stuff too quickly with it and the tolerance is gone upward.
I do consider my SSV43 retired. Not so much for the speed at which it rips through my herb though...
It hits harder than anything else I have and I started feeling like it was too much for my throat and lungs. I found myself having a smokers cough and a constant wheeze.
The power of that vape, especially the way mine is set up with 1/2" ID tubing, makes it hard to use as a daily driver and makes it very easy to get super medicated, super fast.

Hello, does anyone know of an alternative site that carries SSV shim and spacer sets?
I need to pick one up, they're 5 dollars but shipping is 12..25 online or over the phone for 8.50 through USPS.
Just on principle I can't nod my head to that.
So if anyone knows an alternative or makeshift alternatives please let me know..
thanks..

Is there a way to lower the temperature less than what’s possible on the unit itself? I am regularly using it at the lowest setting possible without turning it off but would like it even less hot. I’m thinking of an extension cord with the option to lower the current flowing theough it that the SSV power cord would then be connected to. Or do you guys have any better ideas? Maybe I should buy myself an old, worn heating element?

perhaps use a longer 19mm stem and place your screen wherever you wan't ? ;)
(the longer, the cooler… ^^)

I actually do the mod with a basket screen close to the heating element and could easily lower the temp of the material vaped by using the original SSV screen but one of the reasons why I want to lower the temp is that I am not comfortable about the vinyl whip becoming heated which I won’t achieve by doing so. Another reason is that I want to lower the temperature of the vapor filled air that I inhale.

what about lowering the heating element a tad?

That’s not a bad idea. I’ll look up how the internals are laid out so that I don’t heat anything that I don’t want heated. Speaking of which, do we know what material the isolating textile and the heating element itself is made out of? What grade steel that holds it all in place?

i believe ceramic
it's completely ok to lower it a little, in fact it's normal for it to sometimes drop down on its own.
when it's cool just easily push it down slightly.

I know about that but if you’ve noticed the handle that I’ve chosen it’s because I’m very health concious due to health problems. There are a lot of ceramics with different characteristics and health risks.

And yes, I am aware that the handle is awful, and again yes, I will change it as soon as I can think of something better

I don't see how you could be getting anything useful out of your herb by running it at the lowest temp possible. That temp is not even approaching the range for vaporization to even take place for the good chemicals/drugs which we are attempting to extract and imbibe.

And that whip is nothing to worry about. It is totally safe at even higher temps than we would ever use in these vapes. So, you have absolutely nothing to worry about there.

Ok, ever tried an LSV on a glass piece ? you would get a full glass path for vapor and if you add cold water (or ice cubes), you won't get any warm vapor at all...

The lowest temp is hot enough when using the arizer basket screen mod at least.

What is your source for the whip being safe? It’s made out of vinyl which itself is bad for you. The fact that it’s flexible and clear (or colored) also means that other compunds have been added as well. The whip is made out of food grade plastic which does’nt mean that it’s safe to inhale hot air and vapors from boiling oils through (all day long as I tend to do.)

I have not tried or looked into using the LSV or it’s heater cover. Maybe I should. The best way that I’ve found to use the SSV so far is by holding a bong up to the SSVs ’glass tube’ (the name escapes me) (edit: flavor wand) and making a seal with my hand. I was concidering buying a silicone sleeve/tube to create the seal but figured that I’m trying to rid my set up of as many materials as possible, especially resins. But, now I am worried about the quality of the water in the bong as tap water contains chlorine 😅 I think that I should try to direct my VAS towards equipment for making edibles and tinctures but I really enjoying vaporizing. But then again all this worrying and safety precautions are admittedly a bit silly as I am consuming street cannabis which half of the time tastes like synthetic cannabinoids and other contaminants.

You make a valid point about the safety of the whip. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in one way or the other.
Based on what you're looking for I think the safest option but impractical is hiring a glass specialist to construct an all glass whip including the hose. Cleaning it, hypothetically, would be extremely difficult unless you have long extremely narrow tub to fill with ISO. Again, not very practical.
UNLESS it's a few pieces of interlocking glass...
That actually sounds doable.
I think we're on to something now.

I’ve been looking at the glass wand as long as I’ve had the SSV but they’re custom made in the US when one orders one and I can’t afford the cost + shipping to the EU and import tax, and would’nt want to spend that kind of money on something that isn’t my end game as it does’nt have water cooling. Elev8 seems to have really poor distribution in the EU too. As you say the glass wand also going to be hard to clean and one of the best things about the SSV imo is making edibles from the resin that collects in the flavor wand, so I would’nt want to clean it with something like ISO either. Possibly ethanol for tinctures but that would mean that I would’nt be able to use the wand for a while whilst it soaks, I believe

It seems like my two main options at the moment is either the bong method that I use, though I am in the market for a small bubbler rather than settling for a bong, or buying a silicone whip and a jet flash smoking system which I have’nt tried but am liking the looks of. Water filtration along with fresh air mixed into a vortex along with a silicone whip and those quite deep minivap baskets should be a pleasant, lung and airway-friendlier set up although not quite my end game. I expect to have the jet flash set up completed in a couple of months which is alright as I’m on a break until then, if not longer.

All this vinyl whip safety talk had me thinking...

A dropdown and 90 degree male male and an o-ring worked. I personally think the vinyl whip is so caked in resin that the actual vinyl is locked in safely, that's my personal take. All-glass is doable though!

Which heater cover and wand do you have?
